Bitter Root 2

Rate this book
The truth will set you free, or will it?

When Semira Richards finds out that the man she thought was her father isn’t, she doesn’t feel free, she feels betrayed. One truth sets off a domino effect that leaves every family member at risk. As emotions run deep, finger pointing becomes the only form of communication, and the family seems to be at their breaking point. The lies that have led the family for decades finally take their toll, and the bitterness makes a strong family brittle and susceptible to attack.

Semira is done; she has had enough of the deceit and perfidy. She is prepared to cut her family off, until tragedy strikes. Now she is forced to reevaluate her relationships with her family, as well as with her current love interest, Carmine, and her past love Natano. The decision she makes will leave one man left behind, broken and bitter. A bitter and broken person doesn’t always make the best decision. Revenge is coming, and not everyone will survive. However, it’ll take the one incident that tore the family apart to bring them back together.

In this touching finale, their faith in Him will navigate their path through bitterness, heartbreak, deceit, and death. Watch as God shows that He is a miracle worker that can uproot the most bitter of roots and replant a seed that is made in His image. This family has been through a lot over the years, but love covers a multitude of sin. At the end of the day, this family is about faith, hope, and love, and bitterness can’t survive where love is overflowing.

I thought this was a fabulous follow up as the story dove deeper & truths were revealed. I thought Semira handled the information she received the best she could. I was glad she was more vocal in making others aware of her concerns. Her faith and trust in God had also increased as she mentally matured. This was a great lesson on forgiveness & a well written series that I recommend to all
