'Green lights, red lights, little spots of yellow -- That was all she saw from the back of the cab.
Biting her lips to refrain from making any sound as tears rolled down her cheeks.
"This is silly. This is so silly and irrational," she tells herself.
But no matter how she reminded herself of how illogical this whole situation is, she can't help but feel the twinge in her heart.
"You're just romanticizing this," she recalls him saying, and somewhere deep in her heart and, of course, in her mind, she knows this is true. Still, she hoped, she wished...'

Anja Uhren is a storyteller - working with images as well as words to deliver narratives. Originally from Germany she now lives and works in Sheffield, UK as a freelance illustrator, after graduating from the Arts University Bournemouth in summer 2015. Anja loves drawing, travelling and comics and nothing better than combining all three. On her journeys, big and small, she always carries one or two sketchbooks to record observations and impressions which later inform and inspire her illustration practice. While Anja’s main ambitions lie in the field of authorial illustration she has also gained much valuable experience from commissions and collaborations and is always interested in working with people who share her passion for illustration and art in general.
