Spoiled rich girl + Gruff wilderness guide = An Unlikely Match!
Georgia and Wyatt couldn’t be more opposite.

This is the second book in the Bears of Burden series which centers around the small southwestern town of Burden, Texas, where good ol’ bears, Hawthorne, Wyatt, Hutch, Sterling, and Sam are living easy. With jobs they love, beer flowing freely, and pretty women in abundance, the last thing these shifters are thinking about is finding a mate or settling down. But, fate has its own plans….

Wyatt is a wilderness survivalist, used to barking orders.
In a survival situation, what he says goes, or somebody could get hurt.

Georgia does what she wants, when she wants.
Her life is endless parties, fundraisers, and spa days.

When Georgia takes Wyatt’s survival tour, he knows instantly that she’s his mate. But, everything that can go wrong, does. Has fate made a terrible mistake? How will he survive Georgia as a mate when he’s not sure he’ll survive the week?

"We both got a little carried away, Georgia. I don't regret it, though. There's a reason we both let ourselves go."
"What's that?"
"Some people are just meant to be together, sugar."

Opposites attract, magnets repel, but the bear will never let his mate go..

This was such a great novella! Wyatt lives for the outdoors and as a bear shifter, prefers the wilderness to his human side. Georgia is a city girl through and through, but seeing Wyatt makes her wish she could build a fire without burning six inches off her hair. They both feel the pull of the mate bond, but they are both unsure if their bond will survive longer than a week as Georgia is afraid of commitment and Wyatt can't see her fitting into his life less-than-glamorous life.

I absolutely LOVED their banter and watching them interact!! Wyatt is an overbearing alpha (pun intended lol) who is used to having his commands followed as lives depend on it, while Georgia lives for the moment and doesn't take life too seriously. They are so polar opposites but still so attached to each other, unable and unwilling to let go. I actually loved Thorn from book one more in this book as he's the one who knocks some sense into Wyatt after he royally screws up. I highlighted so many passages for such a short novella, and despite the OW drama, I highly recommend this series!! ♡

My Wyatt, the overbearing survivalist who's knocked on his ass by a city girl in flip-flops...

Manwhore refuses to take no for an answer.
Because, mates.
Also, for a macho guy he's an extremely weak character, unlike Thorn, who was portrayed as a weaker character, he marks Georgia without her permission.
So manwhore gets his equally experienced soulmate.
(I'm not going to call Georgia anything equivalent to a female of manwhore because that sounds a lot more derogatory that manwhore, manwhore sounds almost like an accomplishment).
The author pointed out a number of time that Wyatt is not a manwhore. But I just got the whole vibe throughout the whole series that they ALL are manwhores. The are manwhores with manners, but whores nonetheless!

Alright

Georgia a city girl comes to Burden to see her Best friend who is mated to a bear. Low and behold she finds her bear shifter mate Wyatt. They have a few funny mishaps that were funny other than that I skimmed.

Cute. Wyatt and Georgia were cute. I didn't feel the forever from them, but the potential was there. Georgia whined a lot. I did not like Wyatt shouldering all the blame for the mountain incident. Georgia had decided to go before she knew he was a potential mate for her. She didn't have proper equipment or listen to Wyatt. Georgia also kept secrets. They were equally responsible. It was an ok short read. Less editing issues with this book I'm happy to say. I recommend if you're looking for something short.

Wyatt
Bears of Burden #2
Wyatt and Georgia
Country Bear, City Girl; Opposites attract

A very short story, Wyatt, a bear shifter finds his fated mate. This was a decent story, I enjoyed it. Not as much as the first one but it was OK. I struggled with a few things in this one.
Georgia has come to the small town of Burden Texas to visit her best friend Allie, from the first book, Thorn. She knows all about the growly bears that live in this town.
Wyatt is a a survival guide. Unlike his buddies, he would love to find his mate, settle down and have a few cubs. If nothing else to please his mother.
As soon as Georgia nears town, Wyatt and his bear feel her. His fated mate. He can’t wait to finally meet her.
While Georgia knows about the shifters, in theory, it’s another thing to learn that you are a fated mate of one and have been thrown head first into this strange, surreal world.
Overall this wasn’t a terrible story, but I really struggled to like Georgia. She came across as spoiled and entitled. Going on one of Wyatt’s survival trips was supposed to be a way to get closer to him, but she was so completely clueless it was ridiculous.
And Wyatt be so out of control that he marks her without permission felt really wrong.
I had a hard time seeing them as a couple. Yes, there was lust, but not much else between them.
I will read the next one.

HEA
Standalone, interconnected characters
Bear shifter, human mate

Bears of Burden series Book 2

Trigger warnings
OWD (to a small extent)

Wyatt (mmc, bear, survivalist guide)
Georgia (mfc, human)

Hawthorne/Thorn (bear, mated to Allie)
Allie (human, best friend of mfc)
Hutch (bear, older brother to Sterling)
Sterling (bear, brother to Hutch)
Sam (bear)
Abram (bear)

Georgia comes to Burden to see Allie. She may be human, but she knows what/who lives in Burden. She's a true city girl, and Burden is about a far from being a city as you can get. Wyatt is the loner, preferring the outdoors and solitude. Wyatt hasn't met her yet, but he knew by her smell that she is his mate. Things are not going to be easy for them with their vast differences. Will he ever come back out of the woods if she rejects him?

This book was a lot of fun—Wyatt’s gruff, no-nonsense survivalist attitude crashing into Georgia’s high-maintenance energy made for some great tension and even better chemistry. They couldn’t be more different, and that’s exactly what makes watching them figure each other out so entertaining.

What I appreciated most was that beneath all the fish-out-of-water humor, there was real emotional growth. Wyatt learns to loosen up without losing himself, and Georgia shows she’s far more than just designer labels and social calendars. Their bond feels earned, even if fate gives them a pretty chaotic start.

It’s a classic opposites-attract setup with a shifter twist, and it leans into the trope in all the right ways. Sweet, spicy, and a little ridiculous in the best sense. Definitely a worthy second entry in the Bears of Burden series.

Talk about two people who are so unsuited to each other---Wyatt and
Georgia. Georgia comes to town to visit her best friend who's gotten mated to a werebear. When she walks into the bar they own, her scent is immediately caught by Wyatt, who's been waiting to meet his mate. Wyatt runs a wilderness survival training course and Georgia decides to take it...unfortunately the one night(day) stand comes along too which sets Georgia's jealousy on fire. The second night out Wyatt claims her without really telling her or explaining anything to her...unfortunately things go downhill fast and Georgia takes off down the hill with the other female who had gotten her jealous.
This is a cute story and a great read

A Great Read!

I liked reading WYATT (Bears of Burden Book 2). All about Wyatt Drexel who is a bear shifter and owns a Wilderness Survival Company & Georgia Prescott is a wealthy socialite and BFF’S with Allie. She comes to town to visit her BFF and the hair on the back of her head stands up the closer to Burden she gets. Wyatt is on a wilderness tour and his bear is ready to shred things, he smells wild blueberry and it’s driving him crazy! The author wrote a story about a man half bear who is more comfortable on four paws then as a man on two feet. Read about Wyatt & Georgia who are mates both knows it but neither is telling the other. See what kind of mischief they get into being around one another! I read the first book and loved it, can’t wait to read book three!!

Wild!

This book is mostly in the forest but has done scenes in the town of Burden.

Wyatt, has always been 1 with the forest & his job takes him in there quite often as he trains people to survive in the forest.

Georgia is Allie’s BFF & comes to visit Allie in Burden; while she’s there she decided to join the survivalist training tour & finally comes face to face with Wyatt. Georgia knows Wyatt’s secret but he doesn’t know that she knows.

This story was very good in the plot & how a city girl survives in the forest; but you’ll have to read the book to find out if Georgia & Wyatt survive each other.

So good

I am so happy with this book! Extreme city girl meets extreme country man/bear. I was awesome that Wyatt was this big strong rough country man. He knew what he wanted and was going for it. He was a little mistaken on thinking that just because it’s destiny... that doesn’t mean it’s easy. I felt bad for him though because everyone said he was in the wrong and he made some wrong choices but not all of them. Georgia did own her Bit**y side though. I will say the woman Sarah was wow and she very much had some stalker vibes going on. I would like to know what ever happens to her. She had karma get her but she should have good karma visit her too I’m sure? Loved it.

Playgirl heiress Georgia Prescott came to Burden to see her friend Allie and the bear shifter she can’t leave. Before Georgia in Burden’s city limits, she’s scented by mate shy survivalist tour guide bear Wyatt Drexel. Unwittingly and inexplicably, Georgia is just as aware of Wyatt though they haven’t even met.

City girl Georgia decides she’ll embrace all Burden has to offer and signs up for Wyatt’s tour and is completely unaware and unprepared. Wyatt’s uncertain how to make his bear behave as he tries to woo his mate into submission. Throwing a wrench in their apples and oranges romance is one of Wyatt’s one and done quickies back for a repeat.

Did not finish. He's bossy. She's surprisingly clueless for someone written as independent, intelligent and capable. Which is meh, but okay-ish. But than the spankings happened. Which if that's your thing, okay. But this was non-consent assault rather than sexy fetish. So I stopped reading. I feel vaguely like I could have waited to see if she crushed his balls and bloodied his nose. But I sincerely doubt if that was going to happen and, truthfully, that's not really what I appreciate in a romance either. Maybe if I'm in the mood I'll check out the other books in the series. The first one seemed okay.

I liked these characters, but I could not believe he marked her without her consent! Tying them together forever without him realizing she knew what it meant. They both seemed to lie to each other and, sorry, but I don't see that as the basis for a forever bond. I liked Wyatt and did find her to be his opposite, so it would have been more interesting to see how they manage to balance their very different lives. I also disliked making Sarah out to be a horrible person when she was having her own problems. It seemed very down on women, which I guess is why it wasn't my favorite, though I would actually recommend the read.

Georgia and Wyatt were such a miss match and so fun to read. Georgia, the ultimate city girl decides to go on Wyatt’s survival tour on the mountain. While she gives it her all, she fails hilariously when everything that could go wrong does go wrong and then some. They’re convinced they could never work together and just walk away leaving them both steeping in misery. Until Wyatt realizes she was the only one trying to fit herself into his life and he didn’t make much effort for her… now he has to chase her down and beg her to take him back to give him another chance.

Ying and the Yang of Burden

Georgia is a rich city girl. Wyatt is a survivalist bear shifter. You really can't get any more opposite than these two. But they're fated mates, how will that work? Accidents, calamity and hilarity insue when our Georgia decides to try her best in the wilderness with Wyatt. Let's just say her best is not the wilderness, but compromise is not in Wyatt's DNA. Watching our two mates learn give and take is entertaining and lovable. Nice, quick read.

This is a great story. It is well-written and entertaining. Wyatt is a bear shifter who finds his mate is Georgia the city girl friend of Allie who is mated to his friend. Wyatt spends most of his time doing survival trips for people and George inherited her fathers' company and spends her time partying and finding fault with every man she tries to date. How they come together and their trials and tribulations is very entertaining making this a must read.

A cute story for Wyatt and Georgia

This is book two and it continues to be a good story. This series is a low angst male bear to human female mates. Wyatt loves the outdoors and runs a survival camp company. Allie, from book one, her BFF Georgia is coming for a visit to meet Allie’s new man Thorne. Georgia is a socialite and throws parties for a living. How will she fare in the rural town of Burden, Texas? Read On!

Working it out!

Bears of Burden: Wyatt, a fantastic, amusing and romantic story perfect for some shifter action quickie. The characters, so wrong for each other, but again so perfect for each other, on their road to discovery might just kill the other.
I received this as an arc and voluntarily am submitting my review.

Will the survival tour survive them?

Can a bear shifting survivalist find his mate in a city girl? Wyatt is more bear than human and Georgia is not made to spend a week in the wilderness, even if she and Wyatt are mates.

Interesting and sometimes humorous stories of mate's learning they may need to comprise to keep their mates.

Wyatt and Georgia

I enjoyed this story, but liked Thorne and Allies a little more. Each of these stories have a good message built in, in between the instalust/love. Each character is quirky and fun.
Georgia is a city girl through and through and Wyatt is a survivalist trainer. Two very opposite people with two very different goals.

I loved this story of opposites to mates. Laughed, snorted and cried the whole time. Wyatt the survivalist takes a city gal on a wild trip. Georgia is a party gal who comes to check up on her beast friend Allie (from book #1). Poor Georgia doesn’t belong in the wilderness at all but tries to make the best of things with hilarious results. I read this using my KU Subscription.

On paper, Wyatt and Georgia seem mismatched about everything.

I liked reading about these two individuals and I could understand why they thought they weren't right for each other. But when it comes to mates, fates are never wrong.

I love that Georgia knows who she is. I love that she is a city girl who gives the outdoors a try.

Hilarious!!!

One of the things I like best in a book is when the author can make me laugh!!
I laughed through most of this book! I could really identify with Georgia because I'm a real klutz at times...lol. Some relationships start out rocky but are worth the extra effort. This story took rocky to a whole new level!!!

Wyatt: Bears of Burden

Like the 1st book Thorn, Wyatt's story was really well written and enjoyable to read. It's just about bear/humans men/women, it's about seeing the unknown, believing in the impossible, working together, sharing reaching out for what you really want. Then fighting for it. The two were really good reads.
