Wyatt
Bears of Burden #2
Wyatt and Georgia
Country Bear, City Girl; Opposites attract
A very short story, Wyatt, a bear shifter finds his fated mate. This was a decent story, I enjoyed it. Not as much as the first one but it was OK. I struggled with a few things in this one.
Georgia has come to the small town of Burden Texas to visit her best friend Allie, from the first book, Thorn. She knows all about the growly bears that live in this town.
Wyatt is a a survival guide. Unlike his buddies, he would love to find his mate, settle down and have a few cubs. If nothing else to please his mother.
As soon as Georgia nears town, Wyatt and his bear feel her. His fated mate. He can’t wait to finally meet her.
While Georgia knows about the shifters, in theory, it’s another thing to learn that you are a fated mate of one and have been thrown head first into this strange, surreal world.
Overall this wasn’t a terrible story, but I really struggled to like Georgia. She came across as spoiled and entitled. Going on one of Wyatt’s survival trips was supposed to be a way to get closer to him, but she was so completely clueless it was ridiculous.
And Wyatt be so out of control that he marks her without permission felt really wrong.
I had a hard time seeing them as a couple. Yes, there was lust, but not much else between them.
I will read the next one.
