Tempt by Remy Blake is a stand alone, fairly short romance. I needed to read a taboo/forbidden romance for a reading challenge and this book entered into my radar and I have to say, that it fit this genre in every single way. What could be more taboo than falling for the son of your deceased husband, a son who is ten years younger than you are?!
Charlotte Rockwell is twenty eight years old and has been married for two years to a husband she hasn’t even spoken to in months. It’s a marriage they kept alive in the public eye only. When her husband is killed unexpectedly, Charlotte finds herself face to face with her husband’s son, a son she didn’t even know existed!
Lucas Rockwell is eighteen years old and is just a few weeks away from finishing high school. He doesn’t know his father well but had dreams of working in his company, of making him proud, of being a team, having a true father and son relationship. Only now he’s gone as are his dreams. He’s never even met his step mother but is sure she must be some sort of gold digger. Only he couldn’t have been further than the truth and neither of them was prepared for what happened when they met.
As soon as these two were in the limo together, the chemistry was thick. And when they touched, it was like the fourth of July. This was so wrong. Lucas was her stepson. But Lucas, even though he’s young, knows exactly what he wants, and he wants Charlotte.
This book was so steamy it practically melted my kindle. Or perhaps it was this writing duo that made it so? Regardless, it was scorching. I felt so bad for both of these characters who had been neglected by the same man. And as unlikely as a pairing as they were, they were both willing to fight for what they wanted, each other. This is a quick read, perfect for a fun afternoon. I love these two author’s work and will definitely be reading more.

I’ve read many ‘step’ romances, but I’ve never read it quite like this before…
We often see book where the innocent and naïve girl and the older man but the first thing that attracted me to THIS book in an ever expanding sea of books to read was the reversal of roles. I loved the idea of an older woman and a younger guy; however that was the thing I liked least about this book.
I got myself ready for a pretty typical read but that is not what I got at all. I read the first page and I was hooked. I literally only put this book down one time to gush to the author. Revelations, secrets, twists and underwear was spilled all over the place and that was only the first four chapters. Remy Blake laid the ground work wonderfully with questions I needed answers for and that kept me reading.
While Charlotte was kind and down to earth, Lucas came off as a jerk but as more of his personality was revealed both of these characters were endearing, believable and relatable. I became totally invested in their romance. Lots of times (almost always) my excitement over a book ends with the kind of insta-lust, immediate connection that was found in this book but these authors set an unrelenting pace of angst, uncertainty and sexual tension that I’m addicted to. It made for some delicious grabby action when control snapped and lines were crossed.
So the older woman/ younger guy thing? Yeah, I loved it – but I loved everything else about it more. I absolutely recommend this entertaining and exciting debut by Remy Blake.

What a debut from the dynamic duo that is Remy Blake!
This short, steamy & taboo erotic romance read delivered exactly what you'd expect from an author that had been writing this genre for years (and individually, I suspect they may have been.)
So, the fact that it was their debut is a not only a testament to their individual skill, but clearly shows just how compatible their writing styles are.
Charlie & Lucas are scorching together, their chemistry undeniable & irresistible. Their story provides us with heat, passion & a few twists and turns. Thoroughly entertaining.
The story was a new-ish twist on an old plot (age-gap lovers) that is currently gaining popularity & I've been reading a little more of recently. With the older lover being a female & the younger lover being the male, it makes for a nice change up. Add in another taboo component & it ratchets the heat factor up higher!
18yr old boys, I have to admit, I'm still not sure about... but when I read a book like this (age-gap lovers), if it's well written and the character is mature & relatable, his age becomes irrelevant in my head. I was able to do that with this read easily and I'm not feeling all "dirty old perv" about getting all hot and bothered about an 18yr old boy.
Congrats Remy Blake on this awesome debut, and I'm looking forward to much more smuttily delicious goodness ahead.

Pleasantly surprised!
Ok so I'll admit I was hesitant. As a mom to two boys, I wasn't sure how I felt about a step-mom taboo romance. Luckily I gave it an open-minded chance anyway and the circumstances surrounding their relationship made it way less taboo than you'd expect.
This story was quick, smutty, hot and steamy. It even had a bit of an interesting side plot that was also the main angst between the couple.
All in all I will say I'm pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this one. The writing was great, and felt seamless even though there are two authors. I can't wait to see what else comes from Remy Blake.

I was curious about this duo authors (female/male) and I must say this was a nice reading. Usually short stories are hard to get into with so little time for characters to develop, but the authors did a good job. Charlotte and Lucas story is told by dual POV and they’re both likeable and good together, the spark and attraction between them can be seen from the start and intensifies as the story continues.

A hot & spicy short story that I enjoyed indulging in :)
On the day of his father's funeral, the last thing Lucas expected was to find the woman of his dreams. She is beautiful, sexy and tempting. She is ten years older than he is and she is now his father's widow. His step-mother if you want to get technical about it.
Charlotte had never met her step son before and she finds herself completely in lust with him. She knows this is wrong, her dead husband is barely in the ground and she is having naughty thoughts about his son.
Not everything is at it seems though, there is a lot that Lucas didn't know about his father and the truth will shock him. Charlotte has lived a very different life that what Lucas thinks ad maybe this explains why she is so attracted to Lucas.
Would it really be so bad to have just one little taste of each other.... but is one taste ever enough?

I must say I love taboo stories. Tempt, could be an amazing 5 stars if it wasn't so short. I mean, this could have been way more developed than it is, but I get it!
It's an insta-everything. Its supposed to be a fast read and it is, so it's obvious that there's not much room for a lot of plot. But I wish there was...
10 years separate Lucas and Charlotte. That's not much, but when you look at their ages now, that's a bit.
Lucas is 18, almost 19. Charlotte is 28.
They are young, one with a lot of experience, the other with not so many.
Their attraction is evident and their encounters are scorching hot!

This was a great debut novel. I love a good taboo story.
Charlotte meets the step son she never knew existed on her way to her husbands funeral, and instantly they are both extremely attracted to each other. Let's just say Charlottes marriage wasn't very typical. She's holding secrets against her husband that she knows will destroy his son Lucas but, she knows she has to tell him regardless of the fallout.
This was a very quick, steamy read where the guy was a virgin not the woman which I'm not going to lie, I loved that. A nice change of pace, lol

This is Remy Blakes debut novel and we are not disappointed! Tempt is a short, smutty, taboo story that has your heart racing and your thighs clenching. Charlie is 10 years older than Lucas but the chemistry between these two in undeniable and keeps you enthralled from the very first page. This is a different story from what we are used to but I loved every minute of it as it gets you right in the feels and it still has the sexiness that us ladies love. I would love to read more of Charlie and Lucas' story and look forward to more from Remy Blake!!

There are so many storylines out there where the guy is older that the woman, and step siblings fall for each other, so it's refreshing to read about a little stepmother/cougar action for a change. Although, I have to say I was a little thrown off by Lucas' age. He's 18 and Charlotte is 28.
Not that the age difference bothered me as such, just that he's a teenager, and he was so sexy and manly in the book. When you compare him to actual boys that age in real life, they're just freaking babies. So honestly, I imagined him a little older while I was reading it.
I was hooked from the start and finished this book in one sitting. It's a quick, entertaining, and super sexy read. If you're searching for a story where the authors don't delve too deeply into character development and complicated plot lines, but pure erotically charged taboo bliss then this is the book for you.

5 flaming stars! This is a debut from Remy Blake and we're not disappointed at any point. The fact that Charlie is 10 years older then Lucas doesn't make any difference whatsoever the chemistry between these two is on fire every single second. The way these two find each other is not under normal circumstances but you don't decide who you're attracted to right?. The story started up great and just hotter and sexier as you get further along. It's a quick read and you're not going to want to put it down. Can't wait to read more from this author. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

I am very glad I decided to give this new author a try! Remy Blake has written an erotic love story with a definite twist for two. Lies destroy dreams and money doesn’t always fix everything; this story takes those age old sayings to new heights.
Tempt is a very erotic love story. While in some ways it doesn't follow “traditional lines” it most definitely will have your toes curling and heart fluttering. I highly recommend one-clicking Tempt and this reader will definitely be looking forward to future works by Remy Blake.

Five Tempestuous Stars
Remy Blake is a male and female author co-writing together for the first time and who I’ll most certainly be keeping an eye on in the future! And what a great debut novel it is, too. I was drawn into a different kind of story which is unusual in the respect that the female protagonist is quite a bit older than her counterpart rather than the other way around. Seeing that forbidden romances have always been a favourite of mine, I couldn’t wait to learn more about Charlotte and Lucas.
Charlotte is in her late twenties, recently widowed, and it appeared to me that her marriage was shrouded in secrets. Lucas Rockwell is the son of her deceased husband and therefore Charlotte’s stepson. And to make things more interesting is of course, the age difference. Told from a dual point of view, I got an insight into what each of them are thinking. There are a couple of side characters, but the main emphasis of the story is on Charlotte and Lucas. The attraction is pretty explosive, but at no point did I feel uncomfortable with them being stepmother and stepson. I think that has something to do with them not really knowing each other beforehand.
Regardless of Lucas’ young age, his persona was never portrayed as such. I found him particularly level-headed and as I read more about his childhood into adulthood, it was clear there were reasons for such maturity. And I couldn’t help but feel sorry for him. Charlotte I warmed to and by no means did I ever judge her or consider her the villain. The connection between them is explosive, extremely prohibited and their relationship becomes a journey full of intrigue, love and lots of secrets. Maybe you’ll think it’s taboo. I didn’t!

Take a bite of this very forbidden juicy fruit! It’s a short read and so well written that you just won’t be able to put your kindle down. I’ve read it twice; the second time in the comfort of my own home. The reason being is simply because the hot steamy and sizzling scenes should carry a public warning! If you happen to commute to work, it isn’t advisable to read Tempt and I say that with all sincerity. I read a lot of erotica but this offering had me a little hot under the collar with a blush. Just as well fellow commuters had no idea what I was reading! I highly recommend adding this book to your wish list as it really isn't one to be missed. The execution of the way the story was told and the development shows that a collaboration of the two authors worked extremely well. Very well deserved stars for a very well narrated story.

Tempt is a very intense sexual taboo-ish book about a stepmom and stepson.
The two main characters met for the 1st time at a sad time their lives but the attraction they feel for each other is undeniable. And despite the fact that they probably should not be attracted to each other they can't help it.
The chapters bounce back and forth between each character's point of view. So you do get to see inside each of their heads; which I quite like. There are only a few other characters in the book, so no sode stories. The story really revolves around Lucus and Charlie.
Honestly, I'm not usually that into these stories about step-siblings or step mother or father having some sort of sexual relationship with each other. But seeing as these two characters had never met and did not grow up with each other I was able to get past my aversion to these stories.
In the end I enjoyed the story of lot I recommend reading it.

The chapters bounce back and forth between each character's point of view. So you do get to see inside each of their heads; which I quite like. There are only a few other characters in the book, so no sode stories. The story really revolves around Lucus and Charlie.
Honestly, I'm not usually that into these stories about step-siblings or step mother or father having some sort of sexual relationship with each other. But seeing as these two characters had never met and did not grow up with each other I was able to get past my aversion to these stories.
In the end I enjoyed the story of lot I recommend reading it.

Tempt is a standalone novella, that packed a serious punch and had me going back for seconds once the pages quit turning. I laughed, swooned, smiled, and fell hard for these two pretty fast. Their story was complicated and intense with chemistry that was undeniable.
Charlie and Lucas are going to rock your world. These two steamed up my kindle and had me squirming in my seat. Their story was passionate, taboo, sweet, and so so forbidden. Full of lust, desires, and love, these two are going to warm your heart and steal your breath.

I received An ARC of Tempt and I am more than thrilled to leave my review.
I couldn't wait to get my greedy reader hands on this book. I had a really strong feeling this story was going to be awesome. And I was right. I couldn't put the book down to save my life. I finished it in one sitting. I was so taken by this story that I forgot to eat dinner and I don't care one bit.
Charlotte and Lucas were amazing characters. Their story was burning so hot I'm shocked my kindle didn't burst into flames

What a great debut for Remy Blake! I love the idea of a male & female author team. I think it brings a whole different perspective to a book, and it really worked with Tempt.
Told in dual POV, Charlotte (Charlie) and Lucas first meet shortly after the death of Charlie's husband...Lucas' father. Lucas has some pre-conceived ideas about Charlie; she never knew he existed, though she's aware of her late husband's other secrets. Their attraction is immediate, forbidden and erotic, but there's lots of obstacles to overcome if they want a future together!

A different type of taboo for the reader to enjoy. Charlie married well, to soon find out that she didn't truly know her husband. Lucas meets his father's wife, his step mother, at his father's funeral. Lots of questions need answered, but that is all put aside when Lucas is struck by her beauty. Can these 2 coexist? Will a mutual attraction be their downfall? When will the happy bubble burst? Will Lucas be able to handle the truth? I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Taboo with a little twist. Characters were well written and the story flowed well. A nice quick read and I'm sure I'll enjoy reading future books by this author.

Tempt was great – I loved watching the story pan out and was genuinely curious to find out how Charlotte and Lucas would be able to make it considering all the different obstacles that they face. You see, Charlotte was married to Lucas’ father and they meet for the first time on their way to Geoffrey’s (Lucas’ father) funeral. Their attraction is instant and even with all the chemistry, they know all the reasons why being together can cause troubles: their age difference, considering Lucas is about to turn 19 and Charlotte 27; the fact that Geoffrey had just died and because of the result of the will. To make it, they’ll have to deal with Charlotte’s big secret that threatens the tentative relationship they want to deepen.

They are mesmerizing together – Lucas knows what he wants and won’t rest until he gets it. For all the inexperience, he knows exactly what will get her off and that gave me the good kind of jitters. This M/F Author Duo collaboration is the first of many (I would think),it's a Short,HOT read with the synopsis venturing into the 'Taboo',which,yes has been done before(the usual Step-Sibling-usually a brother/forbidden love tale),this a bit of a twist as it's Step-Mother/with younger step-son-with the added 10 year age gap-she's 28 to his 18!
As the blurb gives away,he (Lucas) is the son of her (Charlotte) dead Husband-a son she knew NOTHING about! and following from their first meeting,in the car on the way to the funeral no less,the instant attraction felt between them builds and the inevitable happens...Now,as far as that goes..OMG they are HOT an Heavy...let's not be surprised by this-it is an Erotic piece,and the writing reflects that OH YES INDEED!....told in DUAL POV's, there are also secrets/lies which leads to misunderstandings and,if I'm honest,I felt a slight contradiction in Lucas's side(he claimed not to have really known his father..'My Father,who I never really got a chance to know and now I'll never have the opportunity'-yet later he was going into business with him?)-tho in the grand scheme of all things Erotica-Who really will be bothered! Tempt is the debut novel by a new male and female author duo. All I have to say is Thank the Smut Gods that these two have paired up! This hot little number was devoured in like two short hours and I loved every single second of it. I don't think I've ever aspired to be a cougar so much in my life. I want to be Charlotte (Charlie) when I grow up, or at least in another life?!
Things are not as they would seem. On the outside Charlotte and Geoffrey 's marriage seemed to be perfect; on the inside it was anything but! Some would be surprised to find out the truth of their marriage. Those secrets would definitely ruin lives.
Charlotte was not immune to Geoffrey's secrets. In fact he kept one very important secret to himself, and it only came to light on the day that she would be laying her late husband to rest. This is where she would come face to face with that secret. This is beginning of sordid and taboo relationship and that will leave you thinking this is so wrong, yet feels so right.

MILF. Nice quick read. I read it on one day. It was impossible to put down. Charlie finds out at her husband's funeral that he had a son he never told her about. (A hot, yet young son) but legal age. There is a ten year difference in their age. That alone is hot! Their chemistry together is off the charts. The story is told in dual POV's . I had a hard time believing that Lucas was as young as he was based on his inner dialogue. He sounded more like a 30 year old, which is understandable once we hear how he grew up. However, there were times that Lucas actually sounded older than Charlie, which kind of made me lose the whole older women/younger man vibe. There is a slight moment of some angst, but it does not last long. These two Authors write very well together,and I look forward to reading more of their work. I highly recommend this book to all older women who have secretly fantasized about hot times with a younger hot guy. If you want to read a book with a great storyline with plenty of explicit sex that ends with a HEA, then you will want to read this.
