A sweet Valentines day romance, this one has a songwriter falling in love with a neurosurgeon when they accidentally get stranded in a cabin together, with her dog Elvis. This book has minimal angst, lots of sweet moments and lovemaking, and I really enjoyed how they shared their past with each other while falling in love.
I fell in love with Lia from page one, when a skinny little girl, with scraped up knees asks her mother what "white trash" means. Lia grabbed my heart and held it throughout True Love's Fire. My heart broke for Scott when the woman of his dreams threw his ring and his love back in his face, and I was very glad that Sable showed us this side of Scott, because after the loss of Renee, Scott gives up on love and pursues shallow relationships. He is actually kind of a jerk, but all that changes when he meets Lia.
The characters in True Love's Fire were well rounded and interesting. The descriptions of the mountain settings were beautiful and the love scenes were steamy and well written. I loved the snippets of the songs that Lia writes at the start of each chapter.
I finished True Love's Fire at 1:30AM last night. I went to bed with a smile on my face and dreamed of being stranded in a mountain cabin, surrounded by snow with a fire burning in the fireplace and my dear husband on a bearskin rug.
A wonderful feel good romance, I highly recommend.
Lia Houston is a songwriter who has had to endure a lifetime of bullying, but rises above it. She’s had her heart broken and will not let herself be taken advantage of again. She is a strong woman who can take care of herself. Then she meets Scott Walker. Scott is a player. After getting his heart broken years ago, he carefully guards it and won’t let anyone get that close again.
This is a beautiful story about not judging a book by its cover. Two people who need each other and take a chance at true love. Their love is unconditional and their journey together is truly romantic and hot!
This a great story. Scott and Lia both did not believe in love after both were hurt in a relationship. They both were able to open their hearts to find love. This was defiantly a hot, sexy read. It will make you make you laugh and cry. I will have to read more of the Hell,Yeah series.
Sable Hunter does what she does best, one more time. I absolutely loved this book. I fell in love with Lia Houston, from the start, when she was a small girl, living with her mother and grandmother. Even though now she is full grown and living on a lovely, peaceful mountain alone, she has never forgotten how her family was always misunderstood and labeled a certain way. Although, her life was not always rosy, she excelled, and always thrived to be a good person as taught by her mother. Scott Walker, is a handsome, sexy and smart neurobiologist, who is Aron McCoys doctor from the previous book. Scott does not believe in love at all, but then he meets Lia while vacationing in a cabin in the mountains, and he soon finds himself fighting the tenderness that he feels towards her. I loved the chemistry between these two, loved his brother, her dog Elvis, and getting a glimpse of Tebow Ranch once again. This was book twelve in the series, and I have loved each one of them and cannot wait for more. Thanks to Sable Hunter for giving me so many hours of fantastic reading and for making all of her characters so real.
I sincerely loved this book. Lia is a songwriter who lives in the mountains in a small town in Arkansas Scott is a brain surgeon. He is spending a week in the mountains and his current girlfriend had a fight with him and didn't go along. He decides to go by himself. He is driving during a big snow storm. When he arrives he has no food and no power so he calls the number he has for the weekend caretaker. It happens to be Lia. After she fixes some of the problems. She tries to haul his car back to the main road. Just then a big tree limb fell and Lia pushed Scott out of the way and it landed on her ankle. As he takes care of her they find they have feeling for each other. This is a sweet story and not real long. About 164 pages
Since discovering Sable Hunter, I have truly become a fan of her work and this book was no different. The characters truly come alive and the storyline is well thought out and moves along at a wonderful pace. Even though she integrates some characters from her other books, you don't have to read those first to follow this story, however, if you have read them it's fun to see more of the McCoy clan. The sex scenes are HOT and juicy and well written. This book is part of a series but it works as a stand-alone story...no cliffhanger!
Loved it!!! This story covered almost every emotion for mankind! I started out really not liking Scott. He was superficial, egotistical and a playboy...three strikes! But then he had the audacity to turn out to be a God-fearing, compassionate and empathetic person. Imagine that, a doctor who cares! I liked Lia's wit and humor from the start. I love when a good girl gets rewarded with her prince!!!! 4.5 stars. You go Sable! This one melted my heart and I really don't do romance!! However I was challenged to read mostly romance books for this year's Goodreads Reading Challenge. This one made it easy.
Once again I am captivated by Sable Hunter's writing and expertise in telling a beautiful story. I love how she just draws you right in and makes you feel like your there. As always the story was full of humor, loved those quirky one liners that made me laugh out loud. Had moments that brought a tear to my eye, and we can't forget those Hot, did I say Hot Passionate times too, yes plenty of those between these two wonderful characters. To Scott and Lia happy 5 star Valentines. I highly recommend the Hell Yeah series to any reader that loves a hot romance.
I absolutely loved this story! This is the 12th book in Sable Hunter's Hell Yeah Series. In True Love's Fire we get to know Aron's Doctor, Scott Walker and the woman who comes to his rescue in a snow storm, Lia Houston. I thoroughly enjoyed the story, the characters and the chemistry. I highly recommend this story as well as all of Sable's other work. The Hell Yeah series is wonderfully written. I can't wait to see what happens next with the McCoy family and all of their friends.
YIPEE Sable Hunter has returned to her very best....This book was like the first 10 in the "Hell Yeh Series".. I was so happy to read this book.. Scott and Lia.. They have both sworn off love and commitment.. slowly their past lives are uncovered and they begin to spend more and more time together.. if you want to know what Happens you have to read the book.. will not give the story away..I have to say you will not be disappointed.
This was a great heart-warming story of love. Sable Hunter has a way of writing heroes and heroines that never disappoint her readers. This story is both sweet and steamy. I loved the song lyrics that were placed throughout the story, the enhanced the emotions that were flowing. And of course it was wonderful to see the McCoy's making their appearance in the book. I am looking forward to the next book in this amazingly wonderful series!!!!
wow Scott and Lia story !!!! Scott was a doctor who did not believe in love Lia was a song writer and did not believe in love also Scott meet Lia and her dog Elivs at the cabin where he is staying there was something about her that Scott could not seem to get her out of his system ... This story was great and easy read catch up with some of the Mccoy's and great ready for a great romance read ...
Scott Walker, Austin neurobiologist, gets snowed in while on vacation in the Ozarks. He is rescued by a local, Lia Houston. While Lia is trying to chain his car to her truck she is injured and ends up stranded at his cabin.
The storyline is shallow and the character development is virtually non-existent. To me, this was all about the sex with little relational and/or emotional involvement.
Spoiler of Aron's story explained in this book: Aron was in underwater cave-in. Rescued by drug gang"lord" woman, who admired him in the past(?) She took him to Mexico for surgery. He had amnesia, started to get memories back, gave him drugs to erase memories. Rescued by brothers.
Dr Scott in this book was the one who cared for him after Aron returned.
Lia's mom and grandmom both single moms in Arkansas; scorned by community. Lia helped Scot in storm, then they fell in love. Not much plot, but better written than others. Way less sex, more story.

Nice love story, with two people who didn't believe in love. Scott is the tall, good looking doctor withe the great life, while Lia is a small-town girl whose family holds the stigma of being "white trash". She has a talent for writing songs , and has made a good career for herself, but she is alone. Scott was once burned by love and has become a no-commitment guy who dates tall blondes by the dozen. When they meet in a totally improbable way, sparks fly. Their HEA takes a while but it does arrive.
Lia was a simply girl, living on a Mountain on Arkansas. But her and her family was considered no good so she kept to herself. Scott was at the top of his game in his profession but he swore off relationship, nothing good came out of love. But on a vacation in the mountains and an a snowstorm that's where these two meet. Their love affair is written even if they don't realize it. This was a great story and I loved every word.
Two people meet during a snow storm and become trapped in a cabin for several days. He is a neurosurgeon and she is a song writer. Story is about their emotional drama and struggles to overcome their past pain and rejection do before their future can flourish.
An explicit account of a young woman. She’s a song writer living in the same house as her grandmother and mother had lived before her. When a doctor rents a nearby cabin and shows up with no supplies Lis comes to his rescue. They get snowbound together when a tree falls on her truck bricking them in. Scott finds something he didn’t think existed when he meets Lia.
Short and sweet I truly enjoyed this book and I am getting ready to read the first book in this series. I like her writing style and I would recommend this author and this book.
Scott Walker is on vacation heading to a cabin. A huge storm comes in. Lia Houston takes care of the cabins and when Scott shows up, she saves his life and gets hurt in the process. As they spend time together, they have fun but he isn't ready for anything else. Will love change his mind?
You people should just read this book yourselves and write your own on review on this novel yourself and I really enjoyed reading this book very much so. Shelley MA
