Both books from the bestselling Hell on Earth Series by Iain Rob Wright. Box set includes full versions of THE GATES and LEGION, as well as bonus novella TAR. Hundreds and hundreds of pages of apocalyptic terror.
Book 1: The Gates Guy Granger is a US Coast Guard captain in search of his kids, who just so happen to be thousands of miles away in the UK when strange gates open all over the globe. Mina Magar is a photojournalist forced to take pictures of horrors she could never have imagined as something terrible emerges on London's busy Oxford Street. Rick Bastion is a fading pop star with his head in a bottle and no hope for the future--even before the apocalypse begins on his doorstep. Tony Cross is a soldier stuck on the Iraq-Syria border, but fighting insurgents is no longer a priority as a new threat emerges that will unite mankind for the first time in history.
For all of them, staying alive will be next to impossible, but they must try. Hell is coming and no one can escape it.
When the gates open all Hell will break loose!
The Gates is a world ending thrill ride of epic proportions. With so many characters and so many twists, it's like the horror equivalent of Game of Thrones.
Book 2: Legion What will you do when the world ends? That’s a question that needs answering quickly when the gates to Hell open up all over Earth. Taking place across the globe is an apocalypse like no other, as humanity finds itself at war against a smart and merciless foe. Follow the struggles of survival with several characters as things go from bad to worse. Humanity is dwindling.
Vamps has never been anything more than a kid on the streets, but when those streets become a war zone, he and his childhood friends are forced to step up and become heroes—not an easy thing to do for a bunch of gangsters. It doesn’t help matters that a rival gang is also out for their blood and that a group of humans seem to be helping the enemy.
Hernandez is a US Navy Lieutenant with a bright, neatly planned future. That is until the world ends and a chance encounter with a rogue Coast Guard Captain leaves his future in disarray. It will take a lot of hard work, planning, and manipulation to take back the reigns of his destiny, and punish those who have crossed him.
Richard Honeywell is a police office at a time when being a police officer is the least safest thing a person can do. The world is at war, but Richard still has a duty to keep the peace and protect the citizens of the United Kingdom. Yet, how can he do that when his own family are in danger? People are looking to him for leadership, but how do you lead army of civilians to certain death?
The world must come together and fight back against the unstoppable Legions of Hell, because no one is coming to help them. The monsters are real and they will not stop. Welcome to Hell.
Novella 2.5: Tar The world has ended, yet a few places still cling to life, dragging out their final, dwindling moments until the last second. The United Kingdom is one of those places still left alive, but it is only a matter of time before it too is wiped from the face of the earth.
The Tar is coming, covering every inch of the globe. There is no escape.
It means the clock is ticking for Finn, who needs to find the monster that murdered his sister. The world might be over, but vengeance never dies.
By bestselling author, Iain Rob Wright, comes an apocalypse like no other.

A previous Kindle All-Star and a mainstay in the horror charts, he is a prolific producer of unique and original stories. From his apocalyptic saga The Gates to his claustrophobic revenge thriller ASBO, Iain writes across a broad spectrum of sub genres, creating both beloved series and standalone titles.

I enjoyed these 3 books but I have to be honest book 2 was not really need it felt a bit like a filler and book 3 doesn’t finish to well it had too many unanswered plot lines I felt very disappointed with the lack of an ending it felt like there was going to be a book 4 but it wasn’t enough of a plot to deserve one. In fact it felt like one of those tv show that was canceled before the ending
Contains several elements on my personal "what I dislike the most about fiction" list. For example, it suffers from a severe case of the twitchies, the random jumping about from one POV to another without, for the most part, much connectivity nor coherency. Faced suddenly with an apocalyptic event why are so many people struck dumb with a rampant stupidity virus. Why when attempting to write in so many different characters do they all begin to act and react similarly and so hackneyed or hollow. Not much in favor of so much ink wasted on personal interactive social constructs as opposed to actually attempting to fight or figure out what to do about invasion. Plus, it is not a stand alone, dislike this one perhaps most of all, instead advises the reader at the very end to buy the next volume in the series, something I am very much inclined not to do. No thank you.
I don't think there's anything I didn't love about these books, from the first few pages I was drawn in to a world full of demons, death and destruction and I absolutely loved it! We follow several different groups of survivors but they are all connected subtly and Iain Rob Wright isn't afraid to kill off some of his main characters which is only right as things don't go according to plan in the apocalypse.I can't recommend this trilogy enough and urge you to read more of this author as am I.
I was quite surprised with the story! I started reading it in a whim thinking I was probably going to hate it but i ended up not being able to put it down. There was truth to how ugly humanity can be and it wasn’t sugarcoated. There were some grammatical errors but nothing that I couldn’t look past. I really hoo the story continues because I want to know so much more!
I love Iain Rob Wright's books and got this trilogy with kindle unlimited- I had just finished reading another of his books and thought I would check out more of his available books. This was an amazing trilogy and I truly enjoyed a lot of the main (& flawed) characters. Apocalyptic books can be depressing, but this trilogy was great! Each book was action packed and addictive; I definitely recommend this trilogy.
A fast story ,with well developed characters . I was disappointed when Fun died, his character was developing so well . I would have enjoyed learning more .
I liked the high energy feel to this series..it never got boring ..kept me glued till the last page of the trilogy ..if you ,,like me ,,are partial to a good apocalypse ,,you need to get a cuppa and read these ..so hard to put down ..
What a ride!! I am dizzy, but what a fantastic trilogy!! So many unexpected turns and shocks. I suffered many a raised heartbeat and even a few nightmares. I am so glad I found this author and look forward to reading more of his books. Highly highly recommended.
Great first three books of a fun and exciting series
I enjoyed the first three books of Iain's Hell on Earth series. The characters are fun and interesting. I'm definitely looking forward to reading the rest.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series. The characters are well defined and very relatable. Things happen quickly and it's very exciting! Love these books!
The books itself was really good. I like how it had multiple viewpoints from different people, in different areas of the world.
I also enjoyed some of the twists in the book. Really intrigued to see how this series plays out. This David Davids, I’d like to high five him for real!
Loved the characters and non stop action taking place all over the world in this book! Different twist on the end of the world idea. Add this to your to read list and enjoy!
Wow. That was something. The ending almost seemed to be leading up to something more. I was actually kinda interested in the different demons that came from Hell. The backstory was great.
