Mr and Mrs Dursley of Number Four, Privet Drive, were happy to say they were perfectly normal, thank you very much. The same could not be said for their eight year old nephew, but his godfather wanted him anyway.

I picked this up after recently finishing and loving A Marauder’s Plan because some people on Reddit recommended this and said that it was even better than a Marauder’s Plan. However, this was very hard for me to get myself to finish… It didn’t have the satisfying comeuppance and annoying characters were even more annoying (like Umbridge). Auror training was interesting and Harry/Sirius/Moony interactions were always great. Kreacher also really grew on me. I didn’t find the Malfoy side-plot interesting at all so most of the time I just skimmed over it. Didn’t really care about the Marlene side-plot, nor the Tonks/Keith side-plot, and the Greyback/camp side plot was a little disturbing. The Serpent Sworn side plot at the end was pretty interesting after everything resolved and was an interesting way to end the first series. I wonder if I'd like the sequel if Harry is finally going to start attending Hogwarts?

When I started reading this, I had no idea it wasn’t just 80 chapters long but had several parts. 80 chapters on its own seemed a bit long and I was a bit discouraged but you know what? I actually love the idea of Sirius breaking out of prison early to raise Harry. Now, this fic is obviously bigger than just that. The writer took a lot of liberties, some of which I don’t care for, some of which I’m actually curious about. I don’t know why they made the executive decision to create a brother for Draco, or why they gave several original characters actual plot lines but it certainly changed the story quite a bit. One of the changes I’m most curious about is the Horcruxes part. Harry hasn’t even started his first year at Hogwarts and they have already found the locket, found out what it was, and (curiouser and curiouser) ruled out Harry being a Horcrux. So… what now? What will the writer do with that? What will all of those changes amount to? I’m sure I will find out… eventually.

Logic is the author's enemy. Frustrating read, because there were some neat ideas in there. It's a longer series and I shudder to think how bad the plotting and characters will get when built on a basis this shaky.

So impressed by this work! It's professional quality writing and plotting, with almost no formatting or spelling errors. Loved everything about it.

This was so awesome. Everything I knew and didn't know I needed from a hp au fic. Harry and padfoot are so so precious. Bby harry is so pure I can't even. I'm on the final fic of this series now and I miss baby Harry. Harry and padfoots dynamic here was Everything and I miss it so much. Now my baby is traumatized. I lowkey wanna reread
