Makoto and Reita are cute together, but I’m still salty over how “Nice Guy” Yusuke is just shoved to the side to be forgotten in the Gallery of Shojo Love Interests Scorned. It makes me less happy about rooting for the actual main couple. Funny how that works out...
This series took a turn here and not for the better.
A male character trying to pressure his girlfriend into sex by claiming he will wait and doesn’t mind but then constantly whines about waiting? Even her own friend saying well he won’t wait forever?
I attempted to google this author because after this volume I feel strongly that it must be a man. No woman would write this kind of nonsense. Unfortunately I couldn’t find a picture of the author so I don’t know for sure but geez.
This is not the first time this male character has been aggressive either, with a particularly aggravating scene in an earlier volume where the female even blames herself for his actions. I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt since he is clearly an idiot and later apologizes for one of the instances.
I wrote this review after finishing the series and seeing this narrative was not adequately resolved- aka she does not leave him or have serious conversation about consent.

Almost was a DNF. This is where the series really slowed down for me. I almost got too annoyed with the same old tension of female lead not being able to progress.
What was redeeming was the humor, and the author’s attention to detail when it came to the family members and how they interact with each other. I like picking up on the little details.
Also, still salty for Yusuke. I don’t like when authors write a side character that seems more purpose driven rather than character driven.
I’m on volume six now, so I’m glad I survived. But so close to DNF because of too drawn out same-old.
this one started out hilariously, didn't love the pressure thing, him telling her "I can wait but..." yeah, no. I would've loved a "let's take it slow" but for real tho. a "there's no rush" without conditions. instead we kept circling back to "stop tempting me" and "I can't hold back". that's a lot of mixed signals right there. I hate the way consent is handled in this manga, like it's optional.
Measure shoujo just hits different. What do yo mean the guy you rejected is still hugging on you? The guy you like says he will wait however Long it takes for you to be ready to anything with him and then he is immediately asking how point you are gonna wait. This is not you will they won't they BL where they wait 5 volumes before even confessing.
Ahhh, we finally got the answers we were hoping for in this volume! 💖 So happy with the progress of the MCs and excited that we even got a holiday chapter at the end!
