About the author

I've wanted to be a writer for as long as I can remember. I used to get in trouble in school because I was writing when I should have been paying attention in class. I foolishly sent a handwritten manuscript to a publisher when I was sixteen. It was rejected, of course--but an editor actually took the time to look at it and wrote me, saying I had talent but wasn't ready for publication yet. Some years later, I found an agent and sold my first novel within six months. Six months later, Berkley bought two more books from me--for a six-figure advance. In all, I published five bestellers with Berkley, nine romances through Silhouette, and--obsessed with having creative control--I made the move to self-publishing for my latest two. I write under my own name and two pseudonyms: Scarlett Martin and Toni Collins.

This was a surprising book to read. It was light and entertaining with its plethora of exotic and exclusive, exotic locations from a Greek island to glittering New York and Paris.

Yet in had incredible depth of perception of human nature and an assortment of psychological and plot twists and turns.

This is a perfect book for those in the mood for a lightweight read full of glamour, tabloid covers, and power games at the heart of the ruthless business world.

Just when you think this book is nothing more than a contemporary romance between a business tycoon and a newscaster tucked into luxurious settings, Norma Beishir probes deeper.

This novel is full of hidden conflicts, dark pasts, and even darker secrets. There is intrigue and mystery, a deep-rooted demand for revenge buried deep under a power-struggle, a subtle peek into human psyche, and a gentle probe into human identity.

Billionaires behaving badly, corporate intrigue, beautiful celebrities and a decades old mystery solved rather predictably, but I found this to be enthralling, a real page turner that actually toyed with my emotions. Naughty playboy Alexander Kirakis is the heir to his father's vast empire. Meredith Courtney the beautiful newscaster wants to unravel the mystery surrounding the tragedy that befell the Ryans decades earlier...she resists the charms of Alexander Kirakis for as long as she can, but they are thrown together repeatedly and a romance develops, but how long before their pasts catch up with them?

I had this one on the shelf for a long time. This summer I decided to read it. It is a good read. Feels almost like watching a movie. The plot is very interesting, and although you can assume what the mystery is, the events are so good intertwined that it does not spoil the surprise. It has it all: crime, success, love, detective elements, even erotics ... A good easy summer read.

Even though I had a pretty good idea what Alexander Kiakis' secret would turn out to be, it was still very interesting watching the story play out with all its twists and turns. A very good read!
