The Ten Commandments: Condensed Edition

The basic Ten Commandments themselves generated over a number of years of work in six growth companies and a lot of contact with venture capital people. My questions were, what are the fundamental guidelines one can follow to increase the chances for success, however defined. The Ten Commandments are the result.
They are modeled after the old catechisms many of us studied as children. The commandment is stated first; an explanation follows. These basic commandments were actually run in the Wall Street Journal in the 1980s, near the start of the boom in entrepreneurship in the USA. Over the years, I have been told many times, usually by strangers, that the Ten Cs are still pasted on their wall or stored close at hand in their desks.
