Crank's Rescue: A Hell Raiders MC Romance

Rate this book
I need to forget our fling, but Sarah calls me when her life is in danger. I'll help her. But who will rescue me?

Book Six in the Hell Raiders MC Romance series continues Crank and Sarah's story, which began in Fabio's Remorse.

Crank:
I can't get Sarah out of my mind. When she calls me, terrified for her life, there's no question. I'm there in a heartbeat.
The plan is to take care of her problem and walk away. I would destroy her. She's too good for an outlaw biker. Even if it kills me, I have to let her live the life she's supposed to have. Except I need her like I need air. I need forever with her. And I'm too much of a fucking coward to take it…

Sarah:
It was a quick fling for him, and I have to accept that. But when I'm in big trouble, who do I call? Crank. I don't know why, except he's the only one I ever felt truly safe with.
He comes to my rescue, and I fall even harder for him. He's so…Intense. Just as I start to believe we can make a real future, he grows cold and distant. Devastated, and with my life in chaos, all I can think is…Who will save me from Crank?

Can they rescue each other?

***Warning*** this book touches on some difficult issues, including child sexual abuse which is NOT described

We all know real life, real people, and real love aren't always roses and rainbows. I do my best to keep my characters, and their love, as real as possible, even if that includes an occasional stereotype or insta-love. Let's face it. Stereotypes exist for a reason, and love at first sight is a real thing.

So, if you're good with those things, and with: dirty-talking, overprotective alpha males as heroes, and strong, smart heroines; sexual tension and steamy sex scenes; a man willing to do anything, even kill, for the woman he loves (and sometimes the other way around)... Well, then you might love my books. If those things make you squeamish, these are definitely not for you.

In case you've just found me, I'm Aden, a male romance author in a female dominated world. I live in the south eastern US, in the middle of nowhere, with the wife of my dreams, Elyse. We have a few fur babies, and a horse named Joe.

Loved Crank and Sarah's story! This was a great addition to the series. Sarah was sweet and Crank was stubborn but they worked together well. I loved meeting Chancey, Runner and Jimmy.

This book starts off after Crank helped Fabio (in book 5) get his niece and nephew out of the foster care system and they are back home in Kentucky with him. Crank is preoccupied with Sarah who he met because she was the kids' social worker. He had a fling with her but can't seem to get her out of his mind. Sarah definitely can not get Crank off her mind either.

Sarah realized their was some inappropriate things happening with her boss, some foster parents and the kids in their care. She begins to investigate thinking she is looking just into kickbacks but finds much more going on than she can stomach. She realizes she has been compromised and needs help so she calls Crank hoping he can.

Crank agrees to help Sarah but isn't sure what he is getting himself into being close to Sarah but knowing once he is done with the job he will go back to Kentucky and his MC. How does Crank's hot and cold moods affect the two of them?

This story will draw you in from the beginning and keep you turning the page to find out what comes next.

I recommend you read this journey of ups and downs of Crank and Sarah. Will the job that Crank is working on for her safety and the safety of many foster care children work out or will it be an epic fail? Will Crank and Sarah realize their feelings for each other and end up together, alone or with someone else? This is a must read!

I did receive a free ARC copy of Crank's Rescue - Hell Raiders book 6, in exchange for an honest review.

In Fabio's Remorse - Hell Raiders book 5, we saw a little bit of Crank & Sarah. We knew he had fallen for Sarah. Even though strong biker guys aren't supposed to fall for sweet, kind, PTA type women, he did.

Crank returned to Kentucky and left Sarah. He's rude to his club brothers and friends. Everyone is telling him to get his head out of his butt and start acting normal. However, Crank doesn't know how to do that, as his heart is still in Oklahoma with Sarah. He cut off communication with her thinking that would help him move past her quicker, although it only wound up hurting him in the end.

Sarah has tried to move on with her life. She goes to work, goes home, goes to work, goes home. Although that's not really living life, she's trying to move on from Crank. Sarah uncovers something's that has been going on with the foster children that are in the system. She has claims from one girl of abuse, and has documents from other children on more allegations. Sarah is trying to get to the bottom of this, however, she winds up getting herself in trouble. She comes home and her apartment has been destroyed, someone is looking for something. Sarah doesn't know what to do besides call the one person she think will be able to help, Crank.

Crank is on the first flight out to Sarah, along the way he meets a kid, who has gotten himself into trouble. Crank gets to Sarah and they begin unraveling a huge problem that has been going on for quite awhile.

Along the way Crank & Sarah realize they are meant to be with each other. They are spending time at a bed and breakfast, hopefully under the radar of who ever is watching Sarah. Crank tries to make himself believe that Sarah is too good for him, and he needs to leave her before she gets hurt even more.

This is a terrific story within a story. Crank & Sarah's blossoming romance, and Crank & Sarah playing detective and trying to help these kids that have been hurt.

Aden Lowe continues to write incredibly well written stories with issues that deal with real life situations that could be pulled straight from local headlines. His characters are well developed and his MC characters intense, loyal, honorable (mostly) , and drop dead gorgeous and hot as hell. His telling of Crank and Sarah's story is intertwined with the story of corruption in the office of children's services, more specifically with the foster care program and the supervising case worker's pedifilia.

This particular storyline, without the building romance between Crank and Sarah, will have your temper flaring, your gut twisting and your need for retribution in high gear hoping for "Hell Fire" to rain down on these low-lifes. With Crank and Sarah, you will find yourself wanting to either shake or slap some sense into one or both of them at different points in the story.

It's the author's writing ability that draws these emotions out of his readers and keeps them coming back for more and more of his work. He draws you into the story, introduces you to his characters and welcomes you into their lives.

I very highly recommend this book as well as any work by Author Aden Lowe.

Wow! I absolutely loved this book about Crank and Sarah, who met in Fabio's Remorse. They had a 'fling' and went their separate ways. Sarah, scared after finding out something about her boss, doesn't know where to turn and so phones Crank, who in true Hell Raiders style, drops everything and goes to help her. This book sizzles, you will laugh, cry and in some instances be on the edge of your seat, but mostly you will fall in love with the characters and the great storyline. But I now have a dilemma. I was always, always, Team Kellen of Kellen's Redemption (Hell Raiders MC Book 1) but now...well Crank is totally ripped, a bad boy with a huge heart. This is supposed to be the last in the Hell Raiders series (Noooo) but I have heard there may be more novellas about other club members...phew! Aden, I bet Badger has lots of tales to tell. AndI would love to see more of the Ghost Walkers. Asking nicely.

This is quite the love story for Crank and Sarah; they met in a previous novel and Sarah reaches out to him when she finds herself in trouble and with nowhere else to turn for help.
"She was it. Destiny, fate, what the f*** ever you want to call it. That's what Sarah was to me. In a few short moments, before I spilled myself into her, my whole universe turned inside out."
"That man moves the earth for you. So if there's any possibility, you had better grab on with both hands."
"And you look like the hounds of hell are hot on your tail."
"This man never had a moment of doubt in his life, with confidence and discipline clear in every step."
Great story with interesting and likable characters, this author has a way with words and sure knows his way around MC clubs. Also pretty spot on with Child Protection Services information as well.
I will always drop everything to read an Aden Lowe book, they are just that good!

This is book 6 in the series and I have only read book 1 , then this one.
That said I had absolutely no problem keeping up with and understanding the story.

This book has so much to offer . Drama ( the good kind ) , action, bad ass alpha bikers , strong women , steam, a little intrigue and it touches on some very difficult subject matter ( child abuse) .

The difficult subject matter was respectfully and tactfully handled, otherwise I would not have been able to finish the book.

Not only did I finish the book , I loved it !

I very much look forward to more from Aden Lowe .

I absolutely recommend not only this book , but this author.

Adens books are always amazing. I got this book and it surprised me in so many ways. This book gave me the feels. I loved Cranks character in this book and how as a reader you got to really get to know him. There were parts of this book that Crank frustrated me and I didn't understand why he was acting a certain way. LOL!!But, I just kept on reading to get to the end. This story was gut wrenching and has so much depth to it. I can't explain how much I loved his book.

If you enjoy reading MC books then you'll love this one!

spoiler: I would've given it 4.5(but I rounded up) because I was hoping that Fabio would've been given the opportunity for redemption on behalf of his niece and nephew, but the Ghost Walkers got dibs for what Pennit did to Runner. AWESOME that Crank adopted Jimmy instead of having him put back into the system. I can see the next book being about Jimmy. I can also see Aden writing a new series: the Ghost Walkers.

First, let me say that I am not a fan of MC stories I received this as a gift, hence why I have it. Now, despite not liking MC stories in general, I enjoyed this. Once again, author Aden Lowe has weaved an incredible story. Crank's language was a bit much for me at times; being frequent as it was but I enjoyed the storyline. I especially loved the character Chancey. You have to read to story to learn about Chancey. That's all I'm saying.

I love this series. Each book gets better and I end up with a new book boyfriend. Crank met Sarah previously, but left when his business was done. When Sarah finds herself in trouble, Crank is there to help. From the first page, I could not put this book down. It kept me wanting more. I really enjoy Aden Lowe's writing style. I cannot wait for more books from him.

If you love MC books, you should definitely check out the Hell Raiders series. I loved Crank and Sarah's story! Crank is an all around badass with a good heart. Sarah is the light to his dark, but she has a strength that surprised even Crank. Aden did an amazing job with this book, really no surprise. I'm so glad they got their story, and I can't wait to see what else Aden has in store for us.

Another brilliant read

Crazy is lost. He met Sarah whilst helping Fabio and ha can't get her off his mind. She is a social worker who he thinks is too good for the likes of him, but still he wants her. Lost and unsure who to turn to when things take a nasty turn at work she calls Crank and he comes running.

Wow I so did not see this one coming. Sarah finds herself in trouble and calls on Crank to help her. He drops everything and heads straight to her. Things get extremely painful for a bit but they come out on the other side relieved, happy and in love and with a kid named Jimmy. You will have to read this wonderful book to find out how it all happened.

Crank's pissed, got a bug causing him anger issues and trying to fight the draw to Sarah. She isn't his type and he can't destroy her life or making the changes he would need so why pursue her. Well that choice is taken from him when the same crew that caused the kids issues are now coming after Sarah. A really sexy exploration of opposites attracting gets us a great story by this author.

Of course they have things to work on that's what makes these MC's special and close to our hearts. They are entertaining when they fall for their Ladies and always in the midst of chaos but they are loyal and protective of their own. Love Crank's story and especially his new tag-a-long/sidekick Jimmy. Great read.

Chemistry on the gritty side of life.

If you’re worried about jumping into this series with the sixth & final book of the series, have no fear. Crank’s Rescue stands alone although, you might find you’re wondering what you’ve missed with all the books that came before. I know I am. I seriously enjoyed this glimpse into the Hell Raiders MC series. Crank and Sarah have some serious chemistry going on.

Crank’s Rescue addresses a harsh reality too many social workers are acquainted with, child sexual abuse. But as the author’s warning indicates the abuse is not described. Rather, the heroine, Sarah is a social worker that stumbles upon a ring of pedophiles abusing foster children. When her investigation puts her in danger she seeks the help of her one-time lover, Crank. While Sarah may have written off her quick fling with the hot biker that ended in an angry phone call weeks ago, he’s the first person she feels safe enough to call when danger comes knocking. Sarah may have mixed feelings for the man that can turn her world upside down and backward but if there is one man that screams safety it’s Crank. Down deep inside she knows that while everything he does isn’t on the up and up he’s a good man where it counts.

Crank may be involved in some questionably illegal doings, but like his brothers, he lives by a code of honor. After returning home to Stags Leap, Crank has become totally unbearable to deal with. He’s about two steps away from being disowned if he doesn’t get his act together. The only problem is… he’s in a no-win situation. Sarah’s a long way away and he’s just not good enough for the little social worker. At least that’s what he keeps telling himself. Then he gets the call that shatters all illusion. Sarah is in trouble and he’ll do anything to keep her safe even if it means walking away in the end.

I recently learned about Aden and his books at an author takeover. While I knew nothing about his books at the time, Aden intrigued me with his open answers to reader’s questions and comments. Of course, by the time I had read an excerpt from Crank’s Rescue I was ready to pick the book up for a closer encounter. While I was waiting I slipped into Aden’s Hunted Love series. By the time I had knocked that one out of the park I was all set to immerse myself in Crank’s Rescue. And wow! If you like steamy MC romances, you’re going to love this one. Prepare for a bit of suspense along with the gritty side of life.

Best yet

If I could give this more than five stars I would. I am a fan of the hell raiders and this is the best yet. Crank met Sarah when she was the case worker for Fabio's niece and nephew, he couldn't get her out of mind but knew she was better off without him. Then he gets a call from Sarah, she has been doing some digging in to her boss, its not just kickbacks he is getting, he is raping and pimping out the kids in his care and knows she is on to him. Crank is on the first plane out to her and teams up with a local club with their own axe to grind. Aden's has a gift for storytelling, he grips you from the off and takes you on an exciting journey with the brothers and their associates. I recommend this series whether you are a fan of MC stories or new to genre.

Crank's Rescue is the 6th book in the outstanding Hell Raiders MC series, and it just keeps getting better and better! I have absolutely loved each of the books in this series. The story pulls you in right from the start with it's complex storyline, awesome characters that you can't help but love, explosive chemistry, dangerous situations, and intriguing twists. This page turner will keep you on the edge of your seat till the very end. A fantastic story, and a definite MUST read!

Aden Lowe is an extremely talented and creative author, and has become one of my most favorite with his captivating stories. This book includes the very sensitive subject matter of child abuse and rape, but as always, he handled this with the upmost respect, extreme care, and professionalism. He creates fascinating stories full of love, steamy romance, mystery, danger, and suspense that once started, you won't be able to put them down. I highly suggest that you check out all of his books, including the awesome Hell Raiders MC series. You won't be disappointed!

I strongly recommend this book, series, and excellent author!

Sarah Channing has only done two rebellious, even remotely dangerous, things her entire life, the first was becoming a social worker against the demands of her parents and the second was hooking up with James "Crank" Baer. Her fling with Crank should've been long over but she can't rid her head of his constant presence.

Crank didn't believe in love. His past has taught him "love" is just a tool to be used against people. He doesn't trust anyone but his MC brothers, until he meets Sarah. He had no idea when he helped his MC brother, Fabio to get his niece and nephew from the foster care system that he'd meet the one person who could make him believe again. Knowing there's no way to make anything work with this woman, so he leaves and suffers every day for it.

When Sarah undercovers the horrific evil of her boss, she calls the only person she can think to help...the dirty talking, larger than life, biker who wrecked her heart. Crank hears the fear in Sarah's voice and jumps on a plane. From there they put together a plan to take down a ring of people doing unspeakable things to kids.

Crank and Sarah, as well as the background characters from the other MC are well crafted. I liked the book despite the way the darkness in it turned my stomach. Social work is a hard, often thankless, soul scarring job but I'm thankful there are people like Sarah, Melissa and even the brothers who try to make a difference in the lives of these kids. I don't know how even the most bleeding heart could read this book and not want a little outlaw justice.

This is my first book by Aden Lowe (all the books can be read as standalones, despite their interlocking threads) but I doubt it'll be my last!

Crank met Sarah, and hooked up with her in the last book. This story starts out with him being home, and rather than admit he's fallen for the woman he can't get out of his head, he's being a total douche to everyone in his MC family. But when Sarah calls him in trouble, he's there in a heartbeat. And not only is Sarah in trouble, Crank's feelings are only getting stronger. Sarah is ruined for other men after the fling with Crank, and she knows how he operates so she moves on, but when her life is put in danger by a case, she only has him to turn to, so she can keep everyone safe. However, with him being in close proximity, her feelings are even stronger. So who's going to save her heart when he runs again, since he's convinced he'll never good enough for her?!

This book started at high speeds of excitement, and it never slowed down, so I LOVED every minute of it! Although I loved Crank, he drove me crazy with his back and forth, so I wanted to junk punch him more than once. Sarah is a great woman who stayed strong in very dangerous circumstances. Their chemistry is off the charts flammable, which EXPLODED into panty destroying, sexy scene goodness that had me sweating. The author has a talented writing style that sucked me in from the very first paragraph, and left me dying for more after the last. His twists and turns made for super loud f-bomb dropping moments, as I was very jacked up. But here's my most important point. Romance for a man can go two ways, super awesome, or what was he thinking? Aden Lowe falls into the first category, super awesome, since he meshed what females feel with a realistic male POV perfectly. I LOVE this series, and I'm not sure I'll ever get enough! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I am loving Aden Lowes Hell Raiders series. In Crank's Rescue we get Crank and Sarah's story. Having missed the last book in this series I was only familiar with Crank from the first few books. But as I was reading I know that I will be going back to read Fabio's book.

Crank's family is the Hell Raider's MC. But with that he doesn't think hes good enough for Sarah who is a good girl with a good job and a life in another state. After leaving Sarah and coming back home tries to forget about her any way that he can. But when she calls scared for his life he is on the next plane to help her.

Sarah loves being a Social Worker. After meeting Crank she knows once hes gone back home and ignoring her messages that she was just another notch on his bedpost. But when she is called out to investigate allegations on a foster family per her Boss's request she starts digging a little deeper. But that digging has lead her into very dangerous territory with corruption with some influential people. Once her house is broken into she breaks down and calls Crank.

Can he get there in time to save her? Will they be able to find the truth in everything shes slowly uncovered? Or will it be pushed aside and hidden like every other time.

Aden takes you on a wild ride with Crank's Rescue that you wont want to put it down.
