Fodor’s Tokyo guide is a great way to learn about Japan. It’s an informative book that includes pictures in it and provides information on Japan. Japan’s an interesting place to go because they have all these exciting places to sightsee and visit! Like the Imperial Palace District and some of Japan’s gardens as well. The food is excellent and you can grab a bento box just about anywhere! Fodor’s Tokyo also provides information on how to say basic Japanese sayings like, “How do you do?” Or “I don’t speak Japanese” which I find very useful. It can be found near the back of the book. I love this guide because I know which places to visit and which restaurants to eat at. It also provides some background history on Japan as well. I gave it a 5 out of 5 because of all the useful information I can find. If you ever plan on going to Japan, be sure to bring this very useful book with you, you’ll be able to learn Japanese etiquette quickly.
Interesting travel guide with lots of unique tips, but this book was so chock full I felt like I couldn't get a good feel for any one thing mentioned in the book, making it difficult to decide what to do. I would like to have had more in depth information about various museums, parks, neighborhoods etc. to further advise on decision making. That being said, the layout was excellent and I did appreciate the comprehensiveness of the guide.
