Her best book yet!
I've always loved Audrey Randall's books, and this one is no exception. Her books have a unique blend of nerd humor, references, and sexy times that always make me enjoy the story. This one is no exception. If you are like me and love corny James Bond references, as well as a little spy action with your steam, then you'll love this book like I did.
The leading lady (Sandy Vajayjay is her nickname, if it's any indication) is Delilah, a nerdy, ice cream loving programmer at Nebula One (if you've read Audrey's other books, then you know that's the people who make the video game The Celestial Prophecy), and the spy who loves her is Brandon Ryker. He's an adrenaline junkie and secret agent for the government. Both have been friends for a long time, since high school, and after a bad experience at work, Brandon finally decides to tell Delilah how he feels. At this point, the story is split between exploring the feelings they share, and trying to remove a threat.
The story definitely has a focus on the erotic moments shared between Brandon and Delilah, but there is more of a plot than previous novels. It's a good mixture of the two, and the story moves along well, with fast pacing and few grammar mistakes. It has humor and Bond references spread throughout to make me happy, and other interesting characters to round out the cast. The book is separate from her series, though it is in the same universe, as I mentioned before. If you like a story that focuses on the relationship between the couple, with light plot and humor, or like spy drama, then I highly recommend this story! I received a free ARC of this story (and then bought it because I loved it), and am leaving a voluntary and honest review.
