After a year of holding out, she’s finally landed the job she’s always wanted in the city of her dreams. An apartment she can afford and new friends at work make the transition easy.
When she meets a gorgeous stranger who makes her laugh and steals her breath, it seems like the icing on the cake...

Until Charlie discovers he’s a client.

Hutch Barlow — newly drafted wide receiver for the Oakland Raiders — looks like an avenging angel, hangs on her every word, and is completely off-limits. The trouble is he also refuses to take “no” for an answer.

Off Limits by Kristin Vayden

Everything about Ava screams off limits.
To want her is to invite disaster.
To pursue her is to risk my job.
To kiss her might cost me my best friend.
But all those risks seem small in light of the first problem.
She hates me.

To her I’m a sell out, choosing to advance my career rather than protect my biggest client.
Her brother.
And my best friend.
She hasn’t spoken to me in over a year, but that ends now.
Because I’m done with holding back.
To hell with the consequences.
Wish me luck...

Block and Tackle is a collection of three forbidden romance novellas where the athletic heroes of Prestige Media Groups stake their claim!
description

description

Offsides~by Elise Faber is the beautifully crafted romance of an Ex-Hockey Player named Devon and his off-limits temp named Becca. Devon is the CEO for Prestige Media Groups and has fallen for his talented temporary Personal Assistant Becca. Becca and Devon couldn't be more opposite, and when Becca falls into some serious trouble, Devon has to work hard to prove his worth to her. Becca and Devon share a beautiful connection, and although this is a quick read, I found the blend of passion, tenderness, and natural flowing dialogue to make this boss/employee romance quite entertaining. This is my first Elise Faber read, and I will certainly be checking out more of her work soon!

description

description

Off Guard~by Stephanie Fournet features the spunky and hard working Charlie who has found her calling working PR for Prestige. While out on a run, she meets the undeniable handsome, athletic god Hutch. They share an instant connection, and before the spark has a chance to ignite, it is discovered that he is an athlete represented by her firm. Therefore, he is OFF LIMITS! Hutch is determined to win Charlie over and will do whatever it takes to make her his. Stephanie Fournet is a truly gifted author, and this slice of heaven was chocked full of passion, tenderness, and paired with the complexity of the plot, I simply could not put it down. I wanted to the story to go on and on forever. The character relationships were well developed, and the richness in the descriptive writing held me captive from one moment to the next.

Off Limits~by Kristin Vayden is the story of Prestige Talent Agent Marcus and his best friend/client's sister Ava. Marcus has always wanted Ava by his side, but with a shared tainted past and the need to keep things professional, he has tried to keep his "hands off". When Marcus and Ava are together the witty banter is off the charts as these two frenemies overcome their past and make way for a beautiful future together. With friendship and broken hearts on the line, Marcus and Ava are in danger of loosing it all. The quickest read of the three, Off Limits was by far the most tender of the set due to the slow burn element. This was my first taste of Kristin Vayden's writing, and I certainly look forward to reading more!

I don't hate it. Quite the contrary, I really enjoyed it if you're into empty, extremely fast-paced romances. But that's not really me, because I like the build-up, not just the kissing and the sex part. My laziness has finally caught up because I didn't bother checking what this book was about. Turns out it was an anthology of three novellas. I don't really do novellas. But the stories were cute- I'd say as much.

This book is made up of three short stories that take place at Prestige Media Group, a Sports Management/Marketing Company. Each story focuses on a different employee of the agency, the CEO and Temp Exec Assistant, A PR Consultant and Rookie Footballer and finally an Agent and the sister of a Seattle Sea Hawkes player.

I have a secret, I kind of have a guilty pleasure for Sports Romance novels, its a genre that I go and look at in the Kindle store whenever I am in a bit of a reading slump or when work is particularly stressful and I need to escape my brain for a time. This ebook is a great taster for each of the three authors, of all of the stories the first in the book was my favourite, Offside by Elise Faber. It has an element of suspense to it and and covers some important issues even though its only a short story but makes me want to read more by the author. Its your typic Assistant falls for the boss and has plenty of heat.

The second story Off Guard sees us in San Francisco where newly graduated Charlie has just started a new job and is keen to impress. Whilst out for a run she thinks someone is following her, instead its a gorgeous blond curly haired god and the attraction is immediate, its great until she discovers that he happens to be a client of Prestige and thats against the rules, and Charlie, she doesn’t break the rules. Thinking about this story now it also has an important message that is handled very well, something the first two stories handle well.

Lastly we have Off Limits, here the agent has had a crush on the clients younger sister for years, they all grew up together, for several years there has been hostility between them which of course, starts to thaw in this book.

Each of the stories are a fun and quick read, with enough mild heat but nothing over the top, no Christian Grey antics here. After reading this taster I can’t wait to read more my Elise Faber and there might just be a few sneaky purchases in the Kindle store today.

An overall quick fun afternoon read, 3.5 stars

I've never been a big fan of anthologies. I just usually don't enjoy short stories. The worst thing in the world is to get so invested in a story just for it to end abruptly. One of my all-time favorite authors asked me to read an anthology last year and I couldn't turn it down ... and it wasn't bad!! It was awesome! So when I saw that Stephanie Fournet was also doing the anthology thing, I jumped on it. And in no way was I disappointed. Quite the opposite. I found two new authors that I love! I'm just going to touch on each little novella very briefly. I don't want to ruin any of the magic that you'll find within these pages.

Offsides by Elise Faber:
O. M. G. (First of all, I'm in my mid-thirties. It takes a lot to use those three letters because I'm pretty sure I'm 20 years too old for them. But it was warranted.) The beginning of this novella ... perfection. I just basically fell in love with the entire anthology with just the first few pages of Offsides. The characters, Becca and Devon, couldn't have been more perfect together and just as characters in general. Elise Faber wrote this in such a way that I got all tingly and had some heart clenching moments. For an author to be able to create those types of feelings within a reader is fantastic and not very common. Sure, you'll feel happy or sad for something going on within the novel that you're reading but to bring out something deeper ... it just doesn't happen often. The entire story was like this. It was gripping and sweet and flirty and nothing less than perfect. I figured that this would for sure be the best of the three in this anthology.

Off Guard by Stephanie Fournet:
The first one was the best of the three? Negative. This one was just as good! I love Fournet and I knew that this would be great but I didn't think that it would be THIS good. I won't lie, in the beginning, I didn't think that I would relate to the main character, Charlie. She's this health nut, squared. She ate something that was like 100 calories and flipped her shit. Dude. I'm excited if I don't eat more than two fun-sized KitKats a day. I'm an emotional eater and I frequently eat my feelings. You can see the difference between Charlie and I. But you know what? Even with those differences, I really dug Charlie. The story that Fournet created around Charlie and Hutch was sweet and endearing and taboo!! Love the taboo relationships. And geez ... was this my favorite of the three? I don't know at this point. They are both so amazing at this point. But I do want a Hutch. This dude ... he's great at the chase. You know what I'm talking about. You push a guy away because you think that you should but deep down, you really don't want to and deep down, he knows that. So he doesn't give up. He's just one of those characters that make you just melt. Great novella. But I need more Hutch. Way more.

Off Limits by Kristin Vayden:
Those first two were my favorites? Negative. This was gooood. So good. I can't choose my favorite at this point. I really liked Ava and Markus. Ava is spunky and fiercely protective of her twin brother. Once again, (not in a bad way) we're thrust into a story of semi-taboo love. It's especially awesome when one of the two in this no-no love story doesn't realize that they are actually a part of it. I think that is one of my favorite things about this. Like both of the other two stories, this one moved along at a great clip and I found myself not wanting to put it down because I just had to know what was going to happen next. And the chemistry between these two!! You can't hope for much more than what Vayden has given us within these pages. Gosh, another new author and I'll read anything and everything that she puts out, just like the other two.

Front Matter Elsie Faber

This novella is about Devon an ex-hockey player who’s regular assistant is out for maternity leave. Five out of the six months have passed when we all come into meet Becca the more than qualified temp. Here is the thing, when Devon set up the business, he put in place a no dating policy which up until now has never been a problem. Yet, Becca is different.
He likes everything about her. Her work ethic, her no cussing policy, and ever her spot of stubbornness. For some reason with her, he thinks it’s cute He can’t wait for the month to be over so he can’t ask her out. But when an ex-starts stocking her, he finds himself tailing her to her second job. The thing doesn’t end well and she feels guilty. When they have to work from his home things heat up.
I enjoyed this short. I enjoyed the chemistry of the short banter between Becca and Devon and that she could get him to stop cussing. I give this: 4 stars

Off Guard Stephanie Fournet

Charlie is a PR person and she just started one of the policies is you “Will no date the clients.” She has only been on the job for about three weeks when she goes out for her nightly run.
Now, you have to understand Charlie was a long-distance runner in college so now only a year out she is having withdrawals and learning how to live and eat normally is a challenge for her. She likes a good bit of completion so when a runner tries to come upon her she presses herself harder to outrun and win in her mind.
This man Hutch is not even a man to run away from but toward really. He walks her home because when her blood sugar drops, she is left down and out. Come to find out he’s the client her new boss, Kurt is throwing the party for on Friday. It’s never going to work she has to not see him anymore she worked too har for the job.
Hutch not taking no for an answer. At the same time, Charlie was just stubborn enough to not back down. She worked to get where she is. Hutch, however, was pulling out all the stops to get her to trust him and see him on the side.
Have to say at the beginning it is a slow-moving, story for me. But then it does pick up. So, keep on because these two grew on me for sure. Believing. I give this: 4 stars.

Off Limits Kristen Vayden

Markus is Ava’s twin brother’s roommate in college. Bryce played football and Markus was the brains so the two stuck together. When Bryce goes pro he brings Markus along to be his agent. Knowing Bryce hard not to know Ava too, they are tight twins. So, when Bryce gets truly injured and advised not to play, he found a risky surgery and he talked it over with Markus.
After tons of research, he knew it would work and his friend would get to do what he loved. But by agreeing to it he knew he was losing any type of relationship dreams he did have of being with Ava. Because as much these two cared for each other as more than just friends secretly. She would never go near Markus again.
She felt he was putting the percentage he gets for playing ahead of her brother’s health. Something he would never do. But, he did it for her too. The thing is after a game Bryce has had enough of his friend and sister being mad at each other. So, he becomes Markus’s wingman. Oops! Forgets to inform Markus, Ava will be there, too funny.
This is one spicy hot read in the way of LOL. Ava is spunky and so caring. She loves her men with all of her. I give this: 5 stars. Provided by netgalley. com.

Block & Tackle is a collection of three sports romance stories, all connected to Prestige Media Group. I have only read Elise Faber before, so I had no idea what to expect with the others. I will give my review as an overall, rather than split it up.

This is a wonderful set of stories, two full length and one short, but ALL of them provide enough information that you are fully aware of what is going on, and what is at stake for each of them. Each story is very well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow. They have action and a steady pace, throwing intricacies into a 'jock' situation so that all the characters are well-rounded. Full of sass and wit, I can guarantee that this collection will have you smiling.

I know have two more authors to check out, as well as Elise Faber, so that means that I can definitely recommend this book!

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and my comments here are my honest opinion. *

These authors scored a TOUCHDOWN with this Block & Tackle anthology!

Being a huge fan of sports romances and more than a little bit in love with Stephanie Fournet’s books, when I saw this upcoming release, I couldn’t get my hands on it fast enough. In this anthology you get 3 great sports romances by 3 great authors (2 who were new to me). Each book is a short standalone novel with its own characters, couples and happily ever afters.

Offsides by Elise Faber
Steamy, fun workplace romance with Devon Scott, CEO of Prestige Media Group, alpha male, former pro hockey star trying desperately not to fall for his beautiful personal assistant Becca.

Becca has already fallen for Devon, but he’s having trouble crossing the line into a frowned-upon workplace romance. He tries to keep his distance, but his possessive and protective side is stronger than his cautious side and before you know it, he’s all in.

Off Guard by Stephanie Fournet
Some people in life are worth taking risks for. From the moment Charlie meets Hutch, she believes he could definitely be one of those people, but it’s a terrifying prospect to put your dream job and new life of independence on the line based on a gut feeling.

I truly can’t say enough good things about Hutch. He may be the most perfect book boyfriend that I have ever read (and of course fallen for). Hutch is sweet, funny, gorgeous, generous, kind, chivalrous, sexy, smart, caring and I could go on… He is determined to prove to Charlie that he’s not going anywhere and that he’ll do anything he has to do to spend more time with her.

When will Charlie realize that risking her job is nothing compared to risking her heart?

Off Limits by Kristin Vayden
Ava’s kept her twin’s best friend and agent Markus at arm’s length ever since he convinced her brother to get back into pro ball after recovering from a major injury. She’s terrified that her brother and only family in the world, is one bad tackle away from paralysis or worse and she feels that Markus’ only concern is the paycheque he earns as her brother’s agent. Ava hates him, avoids speaking to him, but her body disagrees with her brain time and time again.

Ava and Markus are insanely attracted to each other and the heat that explodes between them while they argue definitely translates into hot sexual tension. Can Markus convince Ava to leave the past in the past and take a chance at a relationship with him? If he manages to convince Ava to give it a try, is Markus willing to risk losing his best friend and his client for a chance at love?

Bottom line for this fantastic sports anthology? Hot, forbidden romances. Sexy alpha men. Smart and sassy women. Sweet happy endings.

Review:
Block and Tackle is an anthology of three stories written by three different authors. Each book is based on something related to Prestige Media Group. The three books can be read independently. The only real tie is in the agency that represents the hot athletes that we meet in these short stories. The first story is Offsides by Elise Faber. It is our first glimpse at the Prestige Media Group. What better way to start off with the former hockey star and present CEO of Prestige Media Group. Running a multi-million dollar company is easy. Staying away from his temporary assistant is impossible. The second book, Off Guard by Stephanie Fournet introduces us to new employee Charlie Woodruff. Charlie loves her new job. She loves living in San Francisco. She also loves to run. When she meets a kind, sexy fellow runner she is instantly attracted to him. When she realizes that the gorgeous hunk of man is Hutch Barlow the Oakland Raiders new wide receiver and client of Prestige Media Group Charlie tried to keep the relationship strictly professional, but Hutch has other ideas and isn’t about to let Charlie get away without a fight. The third story, Off Limits by Kristin Vayden is about another agent, Markus has been representing Bryce since the beginning of his career. They have been friends since college. Markus has a secret. He is and has been in love with Bryce’s sister Ava for a very long time. The problem is the bro-code says to keep away from your best friends sister. Especially when said sister hates you. Tired of hiding his feelings, he is about to risk not only his career but his friendship with Bryce. The characters in all three books have an amazing chemistry. The stories are relatively short and read quickly. Each story has just enough angst to keep the stories interesting. They all have their own happy ever after. There isn’t that much in the way of character development. The stories are basically in the moment stories not dwelling too much in the past.

Block & Tackle is made up of 3 sport-themed novellas featuring forbidden romances.

Story #1: Offsides by Elise Faber - 3 stars
Becca is a temp assistant (covering for someone on maternity leave) to Devon Scott, the CEO of Prestige Media Group. They're both secretly attracted to each other and when Becca's douche of an ex won't stop harassing her, Devon steps up to protect her.

Things I liked:
There was a lot of action (for a novella) thanks to Becca's ex being a "little" unstable. Devon was also a great hero.

Things I didn't like:
I couldn't stand Becca. I was a little torn about her throughout the book. I liked her looking out for her mother and she worked hard but her stupid rule about swearing got on my fucking nerves (can you tell why?). But the ending made me hate her the most:
Since her contract is coming to an end, Devon and Carlie (the actual assistant who was on maternity leave) go off to discuss how they're going to proceed with things once she comes back. Becca gets upset because they didn't invite her to join the conversation so she decides it's because Devon doesn't love her and she runs away from his house, crying.

Bleh. I hate heroines who jump to conclusions and then act all dramatic for no reason at all.

Overall:
I didn't really feel the connection between Becca and Devon. I liked the first part but in the end the story left me feeling indifferent.

Story #2: Off Guard by Stephanie Fournet - 4 stars
Charlie is the new PR... person(?) for Prestige Media Group. She's out running when she meets a charming hot guy who turns out to be Hutch Barlow, a footballer (American football) with the Oakland Raiders - and therefore her client.

Things I liked:
HUTCH! Man, he was so sweet. I loved the way he pursued Charlie and his endearments to her were adorable. I liked how he understood she was hesitant about a lot of things and respected that.

Things I didn't like:
Charlie. At first I found her annoying, she was all over the place emotionally and she did a lot of push-and-pull when it came to Mitch. She did grow on me by the end and I was prepared to give Off Guard 5 stars, but then she created drama out of nothing. I hated that part.

Overall:
The (4 months later) epilogue was great. Most epilogues are usually sickeningly sweet so I was happy that the big step Mitch wanted to take was as opposed to proposing to Charlie.

Story #3: Off Limits by Kristin Vayden - DNF
Something about the heroine (Ava) hating her brother's best friend and teammate(?) (Markus) for something he did 5 years ago.

Things I liked:
"Pining Hero" is one of my favourite tropes in romance so I liked how Markus was already in love with Ava.

Things I didn't like:
Ava. I don't know what it is with the heroines in this book but they all managed to push my buttons. Ava was the worst out of the three. I hated how she clung to her hatred for Markus even though her brother (the actual victim) forgave him ages ago. It just wasn't an issue anymore.

I can feel Off Limits is full of angst and I really don't like angsty reads.

Overall:
DNF, sorry.

Thank you NetGalley and Blue Tulip Publishing for the ARC, I appreciate getting approved! :)

Block & Tackle is a sweet, sexy box set featuring featuring three couples all involved with the Prestige Media Group.

Offsides by Elise Faber is my favorite of the three novellas. It features Devon, CEO of Prestige Media Group (PMG) and Becca, his temporary Executive Assistant. Becca is a tall goddess who rules Devon's life, but only for one more month until his permanent assistant comes back from maternity leave. Becca is smart and sweet and working 2 jobs to help pay for her mother's medical bills from a car accident that damaged her spine. There's a serious attraction on Becca's side, but she doesn't realize it's shared by her hot, ex-hockey player boss until the day he kisses her. From then on it's just a matter of time before their shared attraction explodes all over their lives. Throw in her psycho, stalker of an ex and you have the makings of a hot relationship filled with drama. Devon is not only hot, he's so sweet that I can understand how Becca fell so hard.

Off Guard by Stephanie Fournet features Charlie, a new PR exec at PMG, and Hutch, the Oakland Raiders' newest WR and Charlie's boss Kurt's new client. When Charlie and Hutch meet while out running, it's lust at first sight, but Charlie is so singly focused on her job that she can't possibly allow him into her life. Especially when she finds out he's Kurt's newest client. I love Hutch, he's adorable and so persistent and sweet with Charlie that I can't understand how she resisted him as long as she did. Charlie was a little harder for me to connect with, because she had serious issues, but still, can't fault her for being so devoted and focused on her career.

Off Limits by Kristin Vayden features Markus, an agent at PMG, and Ava, his client, Bryce's, twin sister. I have to admit I didn't like Off Limits. It was rushed and I felt as if I were swimming in the dark for most of it. They had an obvious history that wasn't fleshed out well, and Ava is quite frankly, unlikable as hell. She's bitchy and unrelenting. Markus is sweet and so is Bryce, but I just never really connected to any of them. Perhaps if Off Limits had been expanded into a full length novel with much, much more detail I might have come to like their story.

I received an ARC through NetGalley for an honest review.

I’m not the kind of reader who generally gravitates toward novella-length books or short stories, but when I found out that one of my favorite authors was going to have a story in an anthology, well, I was sold. When I saw that the anthology was going to be three sports romances with forbidden themes…I was all in.

An anthology is a great way of being introduced to new-to-you authors. It offers a sampling of their writing styles and allows for readers to decide if they would like to delve into one of the author’s full-length novels in the future.

Block & Tackle contains three stories that each feature a different couple. What I really enjoyed about this anthology was that it wasn’t merely a collection of sports romances, each story revolved around the Prestige Media Group – a business that manages professional athletes. While each author offered up their own story around the athletes and the agency, the setting lent an overall cohesiveness to the anthology.

Offsides by Elise Faber is an office romance between the C.E.O of the Prestige Media Group and his temporary assistant. This was a fun, witty story that was entertaining from beginning to end. I can only assume that her full-length novels are just as smile-inducing as this little morsel.

Off Guard by Stephanie Fournet is a romance between a public relations representative for Prestige Media and one of their clients. I will admit that I have read every book that this author has published, and she certainly didn’t disappoint with this story. Despite Off Guard being a much shorter story than what I am accustomed to from her, she still managed to pack a punch, providing characters that I was immediately invested in and all of the fantastic writing/storytelling that I have come to expect from her.

Off Limits by Kristin Vayden is just that – it’s an off limits relationship that has always been simmering under the surface between a sports agent and his client/best friend’s sister. This story seemed to be the shortest one in the collection, but it was still an enjoyable little diversion from real life.

Block & Tackle was a delightful read. It made me crave another full-length book from one of my go-to authors, and gave me two more authors to add to my TBR list!

Offsides by Elise Faber

5 Stars

Becca's life is in shambles. Her mother is recovering from an accident, she has a psycho ex-boyfriend and she is having unprofessional thoughts about her boss, Devon Scott.

Off Guard by Stephanie Fournet

4 Stars

Charlie Woodruff loves her new job, her new city and running. All three contribute to her meeting a man she has an instant attraction to, Hutch Barlow. The only problem is, although Charlie and Hutch have an instant attraction, they also have a conflict of interest... which makes them being together impossible. But Hutch is not the type of man to take no for an answer...

Off Limits by Kristin Vayden

5 Stars

Markus and Ava were once good friends. When Ava's brother has some possible career altering injuries, Markus and Ava disagree about what is best for him, and in return fall out of each others lives. Until they don't...

These were all sweet novellas. While the stories were short, the length of them did not take away from each story and all the characters were well developed and well written. Fun, sweet, short stories all centered around Prestige Media Group.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.

I absolutely loved this anthology by three of my favorite (one new to me) authors! I am obsessed with Sports Romance and this is a great quick read with three fabulous novella that will leave you wanting so much more. If you haven't read these authors, I highly recommend adding them to your TBR.

In Offsides by Elise Faber, first off I loved the heroine's name, Becca (LOL). This is a steamy, tabooish - Boss/Secretary read. I loved the sass of Becca and the Devon, as a former hockey player, has his alpha side along with the devastatingly good looks. How can Becca resist?

I love, love, loved Offguard! I instantly fell for Hutch. He is sweet and persistent and he just makes you want to swoon. Charlie is stubborn and driven and falling fast for Hutch. But since she works for PMG and Hutch is a client, there is no way they date. But Hutch has a different idea and he's not going to story until he gets Charlie.

Kristin has a great second chance romance in Off Limits. What do you do when the girl you've been in love with won't talk to you... for years! Well Marcus has never stopped loving Ava and so when she walks back into his life 5 years later... He's ready to hold on to her this time around.

Block & Tackle is a great collection of great sports romance reads you don't want to miss!

I am not usually one for short stories, but from the beginning of the first story, this book drew me in. Devon and Becca have tons of chemistry in "Offsides.". The second story, "Offguard", was fun, too. Hutch and Charlie try so hard to stay away from each other, but can't. The third story, "Off Limits," was okay but I have to admit it was my least favorite story. Ava and Marcus are great characters, but I think they deserve a longer story than what they got.

Overall, I would give this book four stars. I was given this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

First things first, I love Hutch and I need a real life version of him ASAP.

These are all good stories. Forbidden loves are always an enticing concept. Don't we always want what we can't have?

Off Sides is cute. I liked getting Devon's point of view and seeing how he couldn't resist her anymore than she could him. "Straight-up-vodka-without-a-twist awkward" is officially one of my new favorite sayings.

Back to my Hutch. Yes, mine. Off Guard is great. Hutch is the perfect male specimen in every way. Charlie is a great example for the girls that look perfect on the outside may not always feel perfect on the inside. I think any female can relate to that.

Off Limits is a good story as well. I feel for Markus. He's done what he thinks is really best for his friend, even though it's cost him something he wants greatly. I love Ava's sass. A strong woman is always good to have in a story. Strong/stubborn, same thing.

I enjoyed all three of these stories.

These are three great novellas to read all in one sitting. I've only read Elise Faber's books before so this was a nice introduction to Kristin Vayden and Stephanie Fournet and I will definitely be checking out the rest of their works now

If you're after a quick read with some hot, alpha men and women who aren't a push over then this would be the perfect read for you. The main arc of the story in all three books revolves around a sports agency, Prestige Media Group, the people who work there and the stars they manage. I've never really been a big fan of sports romance, particularly as they mainly focus around American sports, which I don't really have a clue about seeing as I'm British. These three novellas however were not overly heavy on the sport and have made me think that maybe I need to read some more sports romance before I make a decision.

I really enjoyed reading Block & Tsckle so it gets five stars from me. I will definitely be picking these stories up again when I'm after a quick HEA. I'm also hoping that we may get some more books or novellas based around Prestige Media Group as I would be interested in more romances like these three.

The power of love brings these couples together.

OFFSIDES - ELISE FABER

Becca Stealing is working a temp job and the last thing she should do is be attracted to her boss.

Devon Scott wants Becca off the job and in his arms.

After an attack Devon and Becca grow closer and when her temp job comes to an end their chance at more life together begins.

OFF GUARD - STEPHANIE FOURNET

Charlie Woodruff is focused on her job and doesn't have time for much else except running. When on a run she meets Harold not knowing he's her boss's new client.

Harold "Hutch” Houghton Barlow can't get Charlie out of his mind and will do whatever it takes to be with her.

OFF LIMITS - KRISTIN VAYDEN

Markus was attracted to Ava ever since he first seen her. The problem is that she is his best friend Bryce's twin sister.

A choice Markus made tore his friendship with Ava apart but with a little help from Bryce things may get put back together

I love sports romance and this and this anthology did not disappoint. Each book is a stand lone short read.

Becca has already fallen for Devon but he doesn’t like work place romance. He does his best to keep his feelings in tack but don’t let that fool you he let’s his feelings show and Becca takes hold.

Charlie and Hutch meet and she wants to take a chance on him but not give up her dream. Hutch is a great overall kind of guy and proves to Charlie he will be there for her and not go anywhere.

Ava and Markus are not on good terms at least on Ava’s side. She doesn’t want her brother getting hurt again but Markus encourages him to continue. They are great together but can Markus convince Ava to give it a shot?

Loved all the stories.

I received an advanced copy from the author an voluntarily reviewed.

this was an anthology of 3 cute short stories. There is a lot going on at Prestige. The ex hockey player wins the love of his assistant. there was even time for a crazy ex. Clients and sisters are supposed to be off limits unless love is involved. this was a nice read on a rainy day. Quick stories with very little build up but they have interesting plots and characters.

I'm a huge fan of sports romance, and mix in these amazing authors and you will not be able to put this Blocked and Tackle down. These three authors have combined their brilliant minds to give you three sexy stories in this anthology that take place at Prestige Media Group. Hockey, Football and Hotties oh my!!! In Elise Faber's Offsides we meet Becca and Devon, find out what happens when Becca falls for her Boss in this Hockey Romance. Stephanie Fournet introduces us to Charlie and Harold in Off Guard and shows us that sometimes it's okay to mix a little business with pleasure. In Off Limits Kristin Vayden scores a touchdown with a Markus and Ava and just why your best friends sister is off limits. I loved all three of these stories and I could not put this book down, the characters that each of the authors created are very memorable. Blocked and Tackle is the perfect mix of funny, sexy romantic and let's not forget sports, this books is a must ready for any sports romance fan!!!

Offsides

Becca and Devon's relationship seemed very rushed to me. The story starts six months after their initial meeting and so we don't get to see the build up to their relationship. It all felt very forced to me and not fluid enough to warrant it enough appeal for me. I did enjoy the story, but I wish their was more depth and background to the characters. Each scene also unfolded very quickly, giving me little time to enjoy what was happening before something else happened.

Off Guard

I can't tell you enough how much I enjoyed Charlie and Hutch! Their story was adorable yet intense at the same time. There was this constant threat of them being caught which made it enjoyable and I love that Hutch didn't know when to quit. I like that there was a lot of depth to Charlie's character because it made her vulnerable and more relatable for me. Hutch was a huge hunk, but he also had the biggest heart and I loved that about him! Their story was probably my favourite out of this anthology if I had to pick one.

Off Limits

Ava and Markus beat the odds in their story to find happily ever after! I always love a story with forbidden romance because it makes it that much more steamy. The fact that it's Markus' best friends sister hit the spot for me, but I wish their was more resistance from her brother. He seemed to cave too quickly when it came to his best friend having the hots for his sister. This took away from the suspense of them having a secret fling. Ava also seemed to lose her fire very quickly and I wish she held out longer before giving in to Markus. I would have loved to see a drawn out, slow burn romance because this story was very fast paced. I would have loved some more backstory to flesh out the characters more and get a better sense of how their friendship developed into more.

I don't usually read anthologies, so I wish that these were all full stories on their own. It felt to me like there was a lot more to be said and everything happened so quickly for each story because it was so short.

I received this book from netgalley in exchange for my honest review so here it goes.

Very short and sweet this book is well written and a fabulous short story and I couldn't put it down. Ideal short story to set you in a happy mood. Drama free and easy going. Looking forward to more in the series and will be recommending this book to all my friends.

Offsides by Elise Faber:
Devon must have a policy about dating co-workers, but the man fixes that problem real quick, "silence until Devon turned off the car. “You’re fired.” She gasped, opened her mouth— He kissed her." I loved this book, Devon was sexy, and protective.

Off Guard by Stephanie Fournet:
Hutch must secretly be a food snob the man doesn't like salad, "Hutch shook his head again as if dismissing her meal choices. “After that run you put me through, I’m going to chow down.” Hutch was just so sweet, I loved him.

Off Limits by Kristin Vayden:
Markus is a smart man at times, but I don't think teasing his woman early in the morning is one of those times, “I like this… seeing you in the morning. If I wanted to risk my life, I’d kiss you, but I’m thinking coffee would win out.” He leaned against the island counter..." I loved Markus he was all sorts of funny.

While the stories are quite fast-paced and everything happens in the blink of an eye, I really enjoyed each story and the concept behind the athletes of the Prestige Media Groups.

Sexy sports heroes, women just starting their careers or in high profile jobs, and the temptation of forbidden fruit. It adds up to some nerve-racking moments, extremely passionate romps and the confusion of what comes next.

Settle in and enjoy the ride, cause these super starts of sport are determined to make you sweat!

Block and Tackle is made up of three independent, novella length stories centered around Prestige Media Group. They are a quick read and are filled with sweet, sassy, and intense moments sure to leave you satisfied. While two of the authors were new to me, Elise Faber's Offsides had all the snark and chemistry I've come to love and expect from her. If you enjoy sports and romance mash-ups, this anthology is for you!

There were three stories revolving around the Prestige Media Group. Each story had it's own leads and were quick reads. They were intense stories right from the beginning. There was a forbidden romance, a boss and his assistant, and then a love hate story.
I have found two new authors, as I loved Elise's stories. Each story had me swooning over the male lead. You had alpha, sweet and charming, and then a bit shy.

Entertaining

I get frustrated reading these mash-up books, I want longer story lines, better back stories and more in depth character development. But this book delivers some fun, entertaining, quick stories all centered around a company that ties all three together. A taster of each author, and now I'll go grab some of their full length books!
