This is a short sexy read that doesn't shy back from the layers of sexy contact. If you enjoy sex erotica you'll love this short read. It's also a good intro into sexy stories for those book virgins who have not tried the genre yet.

The plot is simplistic - hot woman and sexy man seek each other out for mutual play and fun. No names. No ties. They fit together like pieces of a puzzle and there are some scintillating scenes.

There is a cute interesting twist at the end of the plot that could have made for a longer book or a follow-up.

Small criticisms with some errors and sentence structure - at times it felt a bit stilted reading through, needing some flow. Formatting needs shaping up too.

All in all - a super quick schmexy story about two people who know just what they want. 3.5 stars from me for this one.

Addyson has just graduated from the Police Academy and is going out to celebrate. She's spent a lot of time training and studying and she wants to find a Mr Right Now to party with all night long.

Kalen Drake is just what Addyson ordered .. tall, brooding and he rides a Harley. He sees the petite brunette and knows he's met his match.

There are no names exchanged, no history, nothing but loving.

Imagine her surprise when she learns that he is her new boss when she reports for duty for the first time.

This is fast-paced novella, read literally in minutes. I don't normally read erotica, but I do take a trip down unknown areas every now and then. I think this one has the makings of a very good book if the plot was expanded.

Addyson has accomplished the first step of her goal, to complete the police academy and get a job in Albuquerque, NM. As a reward to herself, she has decided to go out for one night and just let loose. That includes drinks and finding a one night of bedroom fun with a stranger, no commitment, no questions.

She finds Kalen, an ex-marine turned undercover cop. He likes his single lifestyle and he doesn’t plan to stay for breakfast. He’s looking for a women who is confident and just wants tonight. He has no problems with no commitment, no questions, and no future. In fact, he’s turned on by the fact that they want exactly the same thing for tonight.

This novella works because it’s essentially one scene, one night in the life of the two individuals. The cockiness of each of them is a bit much to take. Particular, Addyson’s language with her friend at the beginning but it sets the mood and the expectations of how Addyson is going to behave. I look forward to finding the rest of the storyline because I want to see how it plays out the next morning when they find out that their one night isn’t going to remain as strangers.

I laughed at this, I smiled at this. This is so many light years away from my normal genre but even writing this is making me smile. This (short story) book has explicit content, but such a sense of humour. A woman has finally landed her dream job and wants a night out on the town to celebrate. Not to get her dream man but just to pull for the pleasure of one night. Little does she know what is in store. There is a twist which to be fair I saw coming several pages beforehand but not to the detriment of the tale. This is a coffee break read (15-20 mins) and has some excellent quotes in it- “You can’t lead a positive life with a negative mind”. Step off your usual genres, have a coffee and smile!

First things first: I'm not a fan of "steamy" fiction... but I thought it was about time I tried something new.
The book goes fast. It's easy to read. The writing is informal and welcoming... I just wish it was about twice as long! I wanted something extra to round this story out a little more and make it a more satisfying read.

Well, this short novella just wasn't for me. The two characters were too arrogant and selfsecure for my liking and I couldn't feel the heat developing between them. The idea as such was not bad and could make for the start of a full length novel.

Great Read

This is a fast pace read and keeps you wanting more. I can not wait to see what happens next. I Recommend this book for over 18 due to content.

Sometimes it is really difficult to rate and review a book that is really short. Yet, I hope to do justice to this story. I read it in one single sitting, it is that short (35 pages in total). Hence, it makes up for a quick read.

The plot is really simple. A girl just out of the Police Academy wanting to have fun before getting serious at work. The contents actually make it suitable for people over 18 years. Remove the profanities and sexual content, you have a really simple story.

Layla writes in a very conversational style. Her descriptions of scenes and places are really vivid. The best part about this story is the twist that is introduced in the end.

There are basically only two main characters out here. If the length of the book had been more, there would have been ample scope to develop them better. The story is way too short for the characters to really shape up.

To sum up, this story is really good because it ends with a cliffhanger. There is more to come as sequels. It makes for a quick read and if you are short of time then try this book out.
