Steve Moore was a British comics writer known for his influence on the industry and his close connection with Alan Moore (no relation). He was instrumental in guiding Alan Moore early in his career and collaborated with him under pseudonyms in various projects.
Moore contributed extensively to British comics, particularly in anthologies such as 2000 AD, where he helped shape the Future Shocks format and wrote for Dan Dare. His work extended to Doctor Who Weekly, where he co-created Abslom Daak, and Warrior, where he revived Axel Pressbutton. His involvement with Marvel UK included writing for Hulk and Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D..
Outside of comics, Moore had a deep interest in Chinese history, mythology, and the I Ching, which influenced much of his writing. He edited Fortean Times and contributed to works on the unexplained. His novel Somnium explored his fascination with the moon goddess Selene.
Later in his career, Moore scripted Hercules: The Thracian Wars, which was adapted into a film in 2014. He ultimately retired from mainstream comics to focus on non-fiction and research, maintaining his lifelong engagement with esoteric studies.

Published in 1983 to coincide with the film, this Marvel adaption was written by Steve Moore and drawn by Paul Neary, with lettering by Annie Halfacree. As with the FYEO adaption I read earlier this year, I assume this is the full version (I only discovered the book this year) and it’s relatively faithful to the film, with some panels almost reproducing certain shots. Bond is a lot wittier than he is in the film, especially with the one-liners and out of everything it’s the action sequences that suffer the most making the transition from page to screen, especially the climactic plane flight and fight which is over in less than a page. The book also includes a well written and nicely detailed account of the making of the film, by Richard Hollis, which was thorough and informative. Whilst “Octopussy” isn’t my favourite of the Moore-era Bonds (why isn’t there an adaption of “The Spy Who Loved Me”?) , it is good fun and this adaption captures that spirit, so I’d very much recommend it.

This comic is official adaptation of James Bond movie "Octopussy". The book mentioned as hard cover but it is not I borrowed from the Library had a paper back cover partly mutilated. The book follows faithfully to the film, the opening of Bond escaping using mini jet and the climax fight with Kamal Khans henchman Gobind (Kabir Bedi) covered in one page, I was disappointed.

Below is the sample from the comics.

Art work is not that great but it is okay. After the end of the comics they have given detailed account of the movie, the persons before and behind the camera such as the Director, music, art and stunts.

The year mentioned in the book as 1983, 33 years! surely collectible for Bond fans.
