Family loyalty above all.

Cooper Cruz knows what it means to be surrounded and bound by family.

Loyalty, brotherhood, and protection are all learned, earned, and respected by him and the Ravage Motorcycle Club family he grew up in. At the same, he's a man, having fun and living the life he has always envisioned, until a trip to Florida spins his world on his axis.

Bristyl Daniels knows what it means to be smothered and bound by family.

Bonds run deep with her father and all the members of the Sinister Sons Motorcycle Club she has grown up in. But now she's all woman and wishes they would see she isn't a little girl anymore. Then one phone call gives her a chance meeting with a biker like no other. One she can't get off her mind.

When her favorite band comes to play at a motorcycle rally in her hometown, Bristyl decides it's worth the risk to sneak off for a little fun. When a situation gets heated, Cooper and the Ravage MC step in, setting off a chain of events, both good and bad in both their lives.

As the dust settles, Bristyl will have to come to some very hard decisions. Meanwhile, Cooper knows exactly what he wants and now needs to convince his woman it’s worth the risk.

Another great MC book by Ryan Michele. Her books are always low on relationship drama, have alpha heroes who go after what they want and strong likeable heroines. Definitely a must read for anyone who has read the Ravage MC series. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

I love how Ryan wrote this as a follow on to the next generation of Ravage Brothers, but also keeping our favourite original Ravage men in the mix.
Seeing how Cooper turned out & now a man & fully fledged Ravage Brother was intertwined well with the original crew
Cooper & Bristyl's story being the first of the new generation and it didn't disappoint. I love that he is as alpha as his Dad (Cruz) and that Bristyl was a feisty young woman who could take him on.
I don't like to give a story out in a review, so all I'll say is you will be a fool not to buy it!
I can't wait for the next one.... Deke's story

4.5 SMOOCHES!

This was my first time reading one of Ryan Michele’s MC romances, and I’m very impressed. My only other experience with this author’s work was her novella, Branded, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Considering my love of MC romances, I have no idea where the heck I have been or how on earth her Ravage MC series slipped past me, but man, I’ve seriously been missing out. If they’re anything at all like Bound by Family, I can’t wait to dive into them!

For anyone else like me who hasn’t read Ryan Michele’s Ravage MC series, rest assured the author’s claim in the synopsis is true. Bound by Family is a completely standalone novel in a new, spin-off series of the Ravage MC franchise. You do not have to read that series to read this book. I followed right along with this story, without ever missing a beat, and I never once felt as if I was lost or missing something. I’d also like to mention that the author’s next statement in the synopsis—”if you’d like to see where it all started, you really should”—is also true, because I do want to see where this all started, and I will be reading that series.

Cooper Cruz was born and bred a biker. Having been raised in the club, it’s the only life he knows. With no plans to settle down with an old lady, he was enjoying the single life of a handsome and sexy biker in a notorious and powerful MC. Bristyl Daniels was also well acquainted with the MC life, having been born to it herself. Her father and brothers are members of another MC, and she was raised in that club. A chance meeting leaves a lasting impression on both of them, but it’s Cooper who rides in to rescue Bristyl at a rally. Little did they know that that was just the beginning of the danger they would face together.

Cooper was every bit the rough and alpha biker, but when it came to Bristyl, he had a soft, sweet side. He fell hard and fast for Bristyl, and in her, he found something he didn’t know he needed. Bristyl was independent, whip-smart and fiercely loyal. She was also gorgeous and sexy and had an air of almost innocence to her that was uncommon in Cooper’s world. They had an immediate connection, and the chemistry sizzling between them was impossible to ignore. They took things slow at first, really taking the time to actually get to know each other, but when they did make it to the bedroom, they were explosive together. Practically from the start, this couple was in sync everywhere and that was what was so special about them. As it turned out, it was also a smart move to build that trust first, because when Bristyl’s world crumbles and danger finds them, they needed that to get through it.

I really enjoyed this book. It was exciting, interesting and suspenseful, and it was that portion of the plot that really kept me on the edge of my seat. This couple’s love story made my heart race as they fought for their happily ever after. Bound by Family was everything I want in my MC romances: a deep and genuine love story between a strong, passionate alpha male who adores his sassy woman amidst a dangerous, gritty background story and punctuated with some smoking hot sexiness. Ryan Michele’s Bound by Family gets 4.5 smooches from me!

First Impressions
Bound by Family is the first book in the "Ravage MC Bound series" but is connected to the Ravage MC series and its all part of the same world so keep that in mind. So technically this is book 6 of the complete series. Bound by Family is Cooper's book, in the previous set of books he was a child. Now he is all grown up and a full fledged member of the MC and what a great brother he turns out to be. I love how loyal and strong he is, how faithful he is to his club and family, and how he gets what it means to be a valuable member. And his lady is so different from others that we have seen before. While she is a daughter of another club, she is more reserved and not as kick ass as the other heroines that have been written. She has a kind hearted nature about her but is strong when she needs to be. And she makes Cooper such a great match, but seeing these together was such a treat and had a blast with their story here.

First Line
This life. My life ....is Ravage.

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Cooper Cruz
Cooper is loyal and duty bound, he is serious minded when it matters. It gets the club and will die for his family if need be. When he commits, he stays true on course.

The Heroine: Bristyl Daniels
Bristyl is kind hearted, intelligent and has a strong will when its needed. But naturally she has a caring heart but will fight for those she loves.

Summary
Cooper is a full fledged member of the Ravage MC, he is young still at 24, and devoted to his family. He has a strong self control that some of his cousins just don't have and he is the voice of reason. Then when he goes on a trip with his brothers to Florida for a biker round up, he runs into someone he doesn't expect. Then comes into the picture Bristyl, who is a daughter of a member of a local MC based in Florida. She lost her mother at a young age, and is working as an accountant. But the MC is making more demands and lowering her status for what she does for the club. When she defends her best friend, she then meets Cooper and thus begins a passionate relationship between them and when her family gives her a painful ultimatum she chooses Cooper to live a full life with, but she has a enemy that could destroy those she loves...

What I Loved
This book was such a whirlwind but such a easy and quick read. I just sped through this one so quickly and I loved every single moment of it. There was something so fascinating about this book and I fell so hard for Cooper and Bristyl. After seeing Cooper as a child in the previous books, it was such a blast to see the man that he becomes and wow he is probably one of my favorite heroes that this author has ever written. He is just so loyal, strong, and well disciplined. I love how he is with his siblings and cousins, he is the rock they are look to for strength and loved his heart. Bristyl is strong in her own way, she doesn't really know how to fight or kick ass at all, but she has a heart of gold and will fight to her death to protect her own. She is so smart though and loved her sassy character.

The story itself as far as the plot being built is so well developed. We have such danger and intrigue that are brought into the story and the author will give you a few surprises in the end that you won't expect at all. I actually loved our heroine. She was definitely my type of heroine. Because her character is so well balanced. But seeing her situation with her family was so heartbreaking. Because her father and brothers are treating her horribly to the point of asking her to be a sex slave for the club just to stay with them. Now as we dig deeper into the story, we see why they are doing that and how they have lost their way where she is concerned and they do redeem themselves in the end. They aren't evil or anything, just highly misguided.

The romance between Cooper and Bristyl is so beautifully developed and I love the focus on the relationship that we have in this one. As much as I love a good sex scene, we need more foundation in a story and the author really does well in this. I adored Cooper and Bristyl together, and their instant chemistry is pretty powerful. I love how dedicated they are together and the ways that they see each other so well so quickly. They act on their hearts with each other not caring what others think. Once they realize what they have is special, they fight for it with everything that they have.

What I Struggled With
There were some aspects that felt a bit off in this one. The way that Cooper's mom (who is Princess from book one of the Ravage MC series) treats Bristyl I did NOT like. She just turned me off at parts in the story. I will be honest, I have never liked her character, she is a bit too much. She came off as hating Bristyl just because Bristyl isn't like her, thankfully, her husband and Cooper puts her in her place haha but still I feel like Bristyl deserved better.

Overall View
Bound By Family is a fascinating and tension filled romance which is packed with heart, sexy vibes and well focused plot to satisfy you!

Book Perspective
Multiple POV's

Relationship Conflict vs Plot Conflict
Plot Conflict--the conflict in the relationship is minimal, and the angst in the story is relegated to the outer workings of the story.

Recommendation For Reading Order
Yes! I do recommend reading in order if you can. But you don't have to as long as you understand the world. But it helps make the family ties make sense if you do read it in order.

Steam/Spice Explanations

Simmering cup of tea---soft warm touches and light intimacy
Warmin' by the fire- a medium level of sexual tension, a balance of sexual and emotional intimacy, lighter on the details in the sexual moments.
Steamin' up the room -the sexual content is more explicit in the language and tone, heavier amount of sexual scenes.
Blazing fire to the building-The prime focus is the sex scenes, scorching hot, and could burn one. Less focus on the emotional intimacy to the relationship.

The next generation of the Ravage MC is just as sensational as the original!

I was so excited when I heard Ryan Michele was going to introduce us to the next generation of Ravages by giving Cooper his story. And what a story it was, making Cooper find the one woman who he shouldn't want.

Cooper and Bristyl couldn't be more perfect together. Even though she finds herself in a dangerous position, Bristyl who has ties to the Sinster Sons MC knows loyalty and club come first. She's smart, level headed and not afraid to take chances which makes her the perfect Old Lady for an alpha biker.

I didn't know if I would be able to transition from Cooper the adorable boy to Cooper the tough alpha grown up biker but when he started getting dirty with Bristyl, slapping that butt and rocking her world, I was so on board! He is definitely the future of the Ravage MC. He doesn't hesitate to step up when the club needs him and he does it in a way that shows power and authority.

I was thrilled that we got to see past characters and see what was going on in their lives even though some of it broke your heart. I can't wait to read more of this future Ravages MC generation.

First let me say that I liked this book but it is confusing on Goodreads this book is the first in the series, but on Amazon it's number 6 which is it. Cooper Cruz was born and raised as a biker he raised in the club it’s the only life he knows. With no plans on settling down with an old lady he was enjoying the single life of a handsome and sexy biker in a notorious and powerful MC. Bristyl Daniels was also raised in the MC life having been born into it herself. Her father and brothers are members of another MC, and she was raised in that club. A chance meeting leaves a lasting impression on both of them but it’s Cooper who rides in to rescue Bristyl at a rally. Little did they know that that was just the beginning of the danger they would face together. This was a good read and my first time reading this author. Cooper is an alpha male who feel hard and fast for Bristyl. They took their time getting to know each other to build trust which these two needed when danger came their way. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

Cooper Cruz was born and raised as a part of Ravage MC, he knew one day he would patch in and be a member. Cooper doesn't attach himself to anyone but when out of town at a rally he meets Bristyl Daniels. Full of sass and beautiful Bristyl is everything that Cooper wants but believes he can't have. However, he has no clue that Bristyl is the daughter of the leader of Sinister Sons MC. Can two MC's come together or will it tear them apart.

The first in the Ravage MC series. This was entertaining and I liked Bristyl, she was struggling with her identity as the daughter and sisters to Sinister Sons MC family. I liked how this had a bit of a slow build up and Cooper and Bristyl's chemistry is off the charts. I am anxious to see what happens to a few of the characters introduced, looks like it will be a fantastic series.

Soooo, this is a spin off series from the author's previous MC books. Think of it as a next generation thing. Have I read the original series? Nope. Was I lost? Nope. Would I have enjoyed this more if I had known the parents before? Probably. But don't be put off if you haven't read it. You'll be fine and still love it.

Cooper was dreamy. Sweet but manly. I adored watching him and Bristyl fall in love. They took it slow and it was amazing.

There was just enough MC business to make them relevant, but it didn't take away from the romance.

This was my first from Ryan Michele and it won't be my last.

Cooper is all grown up and damn if he isn't HOT as sin!!

Cooper is a total bad-ass. He is rough and tough yet has a kind heart and he is gorgeous, exactly what you would expect from Cruz and Princess's son. Cooper grew up in Ravage, it is in his blood, it is his life, it is all he knows and he enjoys all the perks that come with being a brother. He is young but smart and built for this life. He has ambitions and goals that do not include getting himself an ol' lady. But a chance encounter at a laundromat on a trip to Florida changes his life forever.

Bristyl is a beautiful strong willed women with a sharp tongue yet she has an innocence about her. She grew up the daughter of the V.P. of Sinister Sons, so she is acquainted with club life. Her family bonds run deep or so she thought. After given an ultimatum she is forced into making some very difficult decisions and they lead her right to Cooper and Cooper protects what is his!

I am so happy to get to know the next generation of the Ravage MC family. They still continue to prove that family is everything, that blood isn’t the bond that makes a family. Loyalty and love are the bonds of family and nothing and no one are gonna break that bond!!

Cooper Cruz is the son of the MC President. Not only that, his father is a pillar —strong alpha leader and impressive— and his parents love story is kinda of a lore and wonder in the MC, not to mention his mother (stepmother, really) is a legend —an MC prez daughter who served time and kicks ass.

So it is a no brainer that Cooper lives in his parents' shadow, has to live up to their reputation and expectation.

When he meets Bristyl Daniels at a motorcycle rally in her small town, there are sparks (I really like the way they meet). Cooper and Bristyl burn hot and fast, but what slows them is the physical distance, Bristyl feels she has to stay loyal to her family (dad and brother) who are a part of an MC, but she has reservations and becomes increasingly partial to the idea of actually being with Cooper.

That means major change, a severing of loyalties, and accepting Cooper as her man (...her life).

Bottom line, Cooper's story is a bit more well rounded than his parents story was, at least to me. They were large characters whose story did not live up to the promise of a good one, where Cooper and Bristyl's story turned out decent; it starts out a bit light but rolls to a drama-filled ending that uncovers some villains. But overall, it's more about the lifestyle.

It is amazing to watch the growth an author has had from her first book to her most current. Ryan Michele at first was a hit or miss for me but she is now a solid hit and just keeps getting better and better in my opinion. Bound By Family I will say is my favorite of hers yet! It is a spinoff of the Ravage MC series and you don’t have to read the other books before starting it but I am going to insist you do because you get to see where this next generation came from and get to see some old favorites as well.

Cooper isn’t that little boy we met in Ravage Me. He is all grown up and you can definitely tell he his Cruz’s son because he is just like his dad. Cooper is sweet, sexy and all about his Ravage family. When he meets Bristyl there is a connection that he can’t deny but thinks she is too good for a biker life, little does he know. I loved how he was with her, the way he made time for her and the way he claimed and protected her.

Bristyl is fully aware of the club life, her dad and brothers are all members of a MC but they are different than Ravage is. When she meets Cooper she feels that connection as well. She was strong when she needed to be and showed her soft side when it was the right time. I do love a certain scene when she shows her biker daughter side when she takes care of a certain person. The circumstances surrounding her and the rift between her and her family made me want to take a baseball bat to her brothers and father.

Bound By Family was an amazing start to the new series and I can’t wait for the other books to come out. Bound By Family had everything I love in a MC book; the sexy kick ass bikers, sassy and feisty women, sexiness, some action and a story line that hooks you in. This is a must read for MC romance fans.

Stayed up all night reading this one! Good story. Had to take off one star because of an OTT beginning episode where a guy is getting beat up all to hell and if you look at what he owes the club, it's like $700 and change! Seriously? Yet these guys have so much money to launder that they have to start new businesses to do it through... something does not compute. Either they are crummy sadists, or the author should have put more thought into her money scenario because the victim made a deal for $50,700. or so and paid them the $50,000 but owed them $700 and change, and they are crushing his bones and beating the hell out of him. I almost stopped reading at that stupidity, but I'm glad I continued because otherwise the book in total was pretty good.

This is one of those 'next generation' books that shows us the aging brothers from the series and a new group that is coming of age.

I love this series

As the title suggests a brilliant MC read focused on family & the characters.

Cooper finally gets his o'l lady. If you have been following the series Cooper was a little boy when he was brought into the series.

Brystyl and cooper both brought up within an MC and first meet at a rally.

Another great addition to the series loved Brystyl & Coopers story.

Just the right amount of hotness & drama within the plot.

Ravage MC is what I would call a soft MC read, no unnecessary violence or grit, a great story in an MC setting.

Bound by Family is the first in the Ravage MC Bound series by Michele Ryan. It's a spinoff from the Ravage MC series. I loved that series and was ecstatic for Cooper to be the first offspring for his own story.

Cooper Cruz is the son of Princess and Donovan Cruz, a longtime patched member of the MC. I loved Cooper as a kid. He was smart, inquisitive and endearing. As an adult, he's gorgeous, badass and confident with lots of swagger, but just like the elder generation of Ravages, he had a protectiveness and softness shown only for his forever love.

Bristyl Daniels is the beautiful daughter of the Sinister Sons VP. Her three brothers are also patched members and she's been raised around the club. She's smart, sassy and snarky.

Cooper and Bristyl crossed paths and although sparks flew, geography and circumstances didn't align for them to test the waters. Their paths crossed again, this time when Bristyl ran into trouble. The two began to explore and develop a friendship aka quasi relationship. Of course with any MC, there's action and drama.

As the first in the series, Michele set the stage to include three separate MC's and I expect to see more of each in the future, whether within this series or as another spin off. Although the main challenge for the Ravage MC was resolved, it built the foundation as well as left several holes within the others that would make for a great series.

I felt the story was well written and well developed. However, there were a few editing errors that were annoying. Nothing too numerous but enough to draw attention.

I loved the story and although it can be read as a standalone, I recommend at least reading Ravage Me, if not the whole series. The introduction to Cooper as a child is one of the reasons I loved Bound by Family. I'm not sure if I would have appreciated him fully without the additional experience.

All in all, it was a great start to the new series. I'm left with wanting more in so many directions. Next up for the series is Deke in Bound by Passion. He was a mess in Bound by Family so I can't wait to see how he's redeemed!

OMG I didn't want this to end!!!! This story is that great, amazing, wonderful and any other words you can think of. At first I had a hard time getting young Cooper out of my head then it just hit me Cooper's a man NOW!! What a man he is too. Bristyl I just love that name. She's this amazing girl that captures Coopers attention. She's a strong willed and determined woman, that doesn't take any crap even from those of her family. She is one that knows how to stand up for one's self. They make this super amazing couple that is easy to fall in love with, the journey they take you on is for sure one hell of a ride. This story is a follow up maybe spin off of the Ravage MC, you still get the read about the original guys, but this time it's soooo much better, Seems to be anyways, I would recommend anyone to read the Ravage series first as this story talks about some of the events that has happened in the past not to mention you get more of a inside on the characters. I was kinda upset that I had finished this story and that I wanted more but, with all great stories there is always more to come. I can only hope at least. I do want and crave more. This is a MUST READ story. I loved the pace, the story line, characters and everything about it; even all the bad was really great to read. You would think at first that this story is going to be just like all the other MC stories that you read well it's not, seriously it's not. The romance is hotter. LOL ok not only that but they way the story unfolds in front of your eyes really breaks away and gets the story told but leaves you loving it and wanting more. Ryan has done a amazing job with this story couldn't have been any better at all. Worth the 5 stars and then more.

Bound by Family is a dramatic spinoff from Ryan Michele's Ravage MC series. It has a whole second generation vibe thing going on, focusing on a grownup Cooper as he meets super sassy Bristyl.

As the daughter of a biker, Bristyl knows all about club life. She's grown up surrounded by members of the Sinister Sons MC and is determined to escape club life to find a place where she's respected for her work and treated fairly. When she meets Ravage MC biker Cooper she's shocked by their instant connection but doesn't expect anything more than a fun adventure...

I liked Bristyl's fight and spirit. She knows and appreciates her position in club life but isn't willing to be forced into anything - she's one strong and determined lady.

Cooper loves the freedom of his life as a biker so isn't prepared by the intensity of his reaction to Bristyl. He's instantly drawn to her and isn't willing to let her go - he's going to fight for his woman. I liked his OTT alpha response and didn't even mind his domineering tendencies towards Bristyl, which is something I usually find annoying.

The naughty parts are fairly detailed and dramatic so be prepared to blush - if you like your men more on the demanding side then Cooper will be right up your street.

I do love me a biker romance and although it wasn't quite up there with the Reaper's MC series (my fav biker series by far), I enjoyed Bristyl and Cooper's dramatic filled romance and would like to know what happens next...!

4 Stars in my Sky!

You should just read this book because it’s sooo good and it’s a classic MC story (I’m such a sucker for good MC story). I was so excited when I dived right into this book and I did not read the Ravage MC series before I didn’t need to. This book was all types of sexy, gritty, drama and some humor with a great story line it was all well balanced. Cooper and Bristyl are such strong character with such a strong belief in family. Cooper is part of the Ravage MC and Bristyl bound to the Sinister Sons MC by her family. During a stay in Florida for a rally Cooper and his brothers have mishape at the laundromat and calls management and in walks Bristyl. AUDIOBOOK LISTEN - 2.5 ⭐️Is there anything remarkable or very memorable in this book? No. Was it a good spice mindless audiobook? YES! The main female character annoyed me a little bit and there was some verbage in the book that I didn’t love (the term old lady kept ICKING ME). Also IF COOPER CALLED HER BEAUTIFUL ONE MORE TIME I WAS GONNA DIE! Joe Arden being the narrator was a HUGE factor in the enjoyment of this book cause YUP HIS VOICE IS SO 🙂‍↕️! The final 5 chapters were FUCKING INSANE?! I wish most of the book was like that cause it was mostly straight up filler but the SMUT WAS SMUTTING! Greene and Leah & Riker and Austin however?

I loved Cooper, he's an alpha male that will always provide for what's his, even if his woman doesn't agree, “we, beautiful. We’re gonna get a place close to here, and I’m gonna pay the rent.” Cooper likes to reciprocate gestures his woman does, “beautiful, effin’ love it when you slap my ***.” My hand connects with her *** hard, and she screeches as we enter the room." I loved this book, I'm so excited for what this upcoming series has to offer, I'm in love with the characters.

Excellent MC book. Sex was not too graphic but violence was pretty harsh. HEA

***5 ‘I Never Want to Be Found’ Stars***

I’m always on the lookout for a great MC romance. It doesn’t matter if it’s MC light or so dark that it’s borderline psychotic, I’m an equal opportunity kinda girl in that, but I haven’t found many that I’ve become fully invested in for one reason or another. So as excited as I was to dive into Bound by Family, I was also hesitant based on past experience, but I had nothing to worry about. This one had it all. It was gritty and sexy with a good balance of humor and drama woven into the story and was filled with characters that I want to know more about.

Cooper is a true son of the Ravage MC. He lives and dies for them and has from the moment he understood what the club was. He didn’t have the best start to his life, but thanks to his father and mother, it hasn’t had a detrimental effect on the man he has become. It was hard not to fall in love with Cooper from the very beginning. He is all dominant alpha male smexyness, but has a good head on his shoulders and isn’t an a$%hat just to be an a#$hat and his sweet side is just as lethal as his smexy side.

Bristyl has grown up on the periphery of the Sinister Sons MC and has always been content, and somewhat relieved, knowing that she will never be privy to the inner workings of the club. But now the combination having to follow the rules of the club and her overbearing family have her feeling suffocated as the need to gain her independence grows. I adored Bristyl. This girl has a good heart and head on her shoulders, is thoughtfully spontaneous and yet can get all kinds of feisty when the situation calls for it.

I loved how Cooper and Bristyl’s relationship evolved. There was a physical attraction, but nothing insta to it. They took the time to get to know each other and, for lack of a better term, it all felt organic. Their bantering was fun and flirty and the smexyness was intense. What I really liked was while they had drama to deal with, it wasn’t because either of them was being all angsty. It was from other sources and they dealt with it and through it became closer. They were a perfect fit and I loved where they were at the end of the book.

As you probably guessed from my intro, this is my first Ryan Michele read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The prologue hooked me and I had a difficult time putting the book down. The writing is engaging, the pacing is steady and the dual 1st person POV’s were done very well. It is stated that this is a spin off of the Ravage MC series and one does not have to read it first, but it is recommended. All I can say is that I never felt lost because Ms. Michele did a great job at weaving those characters pasts into the present without slowing the book down, but based on the information given I will be finding a way to work those books higher in my TBR pile. All of the main secondary characters were well written and have me wanting to know more about them all right now. Ryker is my favorite, but Green is right up there with him and will definitely be keeping an eye out for the next book in the series!

I've read a couple of books in the previous 'Ravage MC' series but you don't need to have read any to read and enjoy this book.

If you like MC romances then you will enjoy this. The plot is well thought through and held my interest from start to finish, although I did struggle with the quite violent prologue. The style of writing is really easy to read and the dialogue flows naturally, the book is also written from both the hero and heroine's POV so you get to 'know' them really well.

Cooper was so sweet at times and so very hot I couldn't help but like him. Despite the lifestyle he leads, his strong moral code and love of family made him a really good character to have as a hero. Bristyl, despite being part of an MC family, seemed less comfortable with this and almost a little naive at times. Despite working for the MC it felt like she had very little knowledge about them and little to do with However I did like her as a character and strength through the story. The chemistry and developing relationship between Cooper and Bristyl was really well written.

Whilst in general the writing flows nicely, and the overall pace was good, in the second half of the book we seemed to have several different parts of the story 'sprung' on us and then dealt with very rapidly. I still enjoyed the story but I felt that opportunities for build-up and suspense were missed.

I would recommend this book and look forward to reading more books in this series.

Bound by Family is a spin off of Ravage MC series. And as first book it's pretty good. At the beginning I have a little connecting problem, but the more I read the more hooked I was. Ravage still knows how to give you a wild ride, that you wish would never end.

I really like Cooper and Bristyl. They both were great separately and together. Bristyl is cute, loyal and sassy. Cooper is all alpha biker. And you for sure will stake your claim on his sexy perfect ass.

I loved to meet original Ravage characters. It's was nice to find out how they all are doing after these years. Some was doing great. Some not so much and that made my heart hurt. Hope next book will bring something happier to them.

PS While Bound by Family is standalone, I do recommend to begin where the journey started. And that is with Ravage Me, 1st book in the Ravage MC series. And if you already enjoyed that ride, don't waste time and hope on on the new one.

i have loved cooper from the very first Ravage book so this was a must read.
great book and so typical of the earlier series and as next generation biker reads go, this was one of the best.
loved both characters. Bristyl is a bit naive but still very young so it fit the persona well.
an easy fun read, sweet romance, and the essential bit of violence. (30/3/17)

8/2/18 - a re read of this one before getting into the next three. still love it.
Ryan Michele def numbers as one of my fave authors. she is a great storyteller and brings her characters to life in dangerous and engaging stories. romance and family reign true even amid heartache and despair. even though this series is about the younger generation which sometimes emphasizes the naivety of the female leads, i have still found great enjoyment in these works. i love the quality of the writing while still maintaining the speech patterns & roughness of character and lifestyle encompassed by this genre.

Ryan Michelle is a new to me Author with Bound by Family being my first read. This is a spin off from her Ravage MC series and is completely a standalone read but all i can say is where the hell have i been. I've been missing out with this series and since finishing this read i have already downloaded the first book in the Ravage series!!

We follow the lives of Cooper Cruz and Bristyl Daniels both have grown up in MC life. Cooper is part of the Ravage MC in Georgia and patched in as soon as he was able too. Bristyl is the daughter of a Sinister Sons MC member based in Florida. Although she works for them she isn't an O'l Lady or club whore and has no intension of ever being.

I loved both of these characters Cooper for his loyalty and views on family being everything and that doesn't mean by blood. Bristyl for her sassy attitude having been brought up around round men she could really hold her own and not backing down for what she thought was right.

When these two meet by chance there is instant chemistry but what i really like was the slow build to their relationship. It wasn't an instant love she mine type of thing. But there meeting has cause a stir in rival MC's and it soon becomes a fight that neither one of them expected.

I really enjoyed this book. It was exciting, interesting and suspenseful, and it was that portion of the plot that really kept me on the edge of my seat. This couple’s love story made my heart race as they fought for their happily ever after. Bound by Family was everything I want in a MC romances: a deep and genuine love story between a strong, passionate alpha male who adores his sassy woman amidst a dangerous, gritty background story and punctuated with some smoking hot sexiness. I'm really looking forward to continuing with this series and because of this read i have a whole box set to add to my collection and i can't wait to start it.

Josie's Review 4.5 Stars

If I want to read a good MC book, the name Ryan Michele comes to mind. MC books always have some grit, violence and totally hot alpha bikers. I don’t know how she does it but every time I read a book by this author I fall deep. She has a unique way of bringing not only the story to life but also the characters. When I saw that she was giving the kids of the Ravage MC their very own books it was like Christmas morning. I fell in love with these kids when we read The Ravage MC series, I could not wait to start this one.

I feel in love with how this author this story. I loved seeing how their lives were before they met. Each grew up surrounded by an MC but each MC is very different. I really enjoyed seeing how different their lives were and how different they both felt about the MC’s they belonged too. Copper was special as a child but as a man he was perfect. He had the hot biker thing perfected. He’s a fighter, tough and will do anything for his brothers. He wasn’t hot headed but more leveled headed. When his eyes land on the gorgeous and sassy Bristyl he begins to focus on other things that are not MC related.

Bristyl is a perfect female lead character. Growing up and being raised by men has made her tough, determined and unwilling to not be hard. She knows her place in a club and she takes that role on dutifully. She wanted more in life and wasn’t afraid to go after it. When Cooper walks into her life she begins to see things outside of the club aren’t so bad.

I loved how the author handled their unique relationship. This wasn’t a quick and instant love story. She gave us a story that had a good build up. We see these two grow to love each other away from the chaos and prying eyes of their MC’S. We get to see why they fall in love with each other and how they will not sacrifice that love for anyone. I’m not even going to start on the hot scenes in this book, because I felt like a perv. SO HOT! Of course this is an MC book and everything isn’t all rainbows and sunshine. We get some drama, suspense and of course violence and a good old MC fight. Loved it! I loved that we got to see some faces from the past. Loved seeing Bristyl take on mama bear Princess. Cooper and Bristyl’s story was a great start to a new series and if this book is any indication of what’s to come, than I’m all in.
