A Special Introduction to the Weavers
Arlan had often thought of getting himself a mail order bride, but now that he had, he wasn’t sure the pretty little thing The Ridgley Mail-Order Bride Service sent him was tough enough to handle farm life, let alone his brothers. But Arlan soon found his new little wife was chock full of surprises. In more ways than one. Samantha Carter never considered becoming a mail order bride. She was to marry as soon as she turned eighteen and be out of her uncle’s hair not to mention his house. But her uncle had other plans, and wanted Samantha for himself. Discovering his intentions, she ran to the only mail-order bride service she knew of, and begged Mrs. Ridgley to send her somewhere, ANYWHERE that would get her away from her lecherous relative. And so, Mrs. Ridgley sent her to Nowhere.
Weavers at a Wedding (From A Mid-Summer's Mail-Order Bride, Holiday Mail-Order Brides)
A Tale of Tom Turner (Because Tom loves to tell his tales to the Weavers!)
The Weaver clan was growing. Not only was Arlan, Ma Weaver’s oldest son and his wife about to have a baby, but Benjamin, one of her identical twins, was about to get his very own mail-order bride! Ma Weaver couldn’t be happier! Sure, Benjamin and his brothers had been sheltered in the small valley where they lived most of their lives, and maybe they didn’t live as fancy as some folks. But they lived well, and Ma Weaver was determined her sons would marry well too. Charity Cross discovers just that when she becomes Benjamin’s mail-order bride. But Charity has a secret, something with the power to tear them apart if she isn’t careful. The problem is, she has no idea how or what “careful” looks like. Not after what she’s been through …
First Arlan, the oldest, got himself a mail-order bride, followed by his younger brother Benjamin, one of identical twins. Now it was Calvin’s turn. But Calvin’s mail-order bride was different, really different. For one, she was Italian, an immigrant who spoke broken English. She was also the most beautiful woman Calvin had ever seen. But this vision of loveliness had a not so lovely secret. Can Calvin and his new bride make a go of it while other secrets threaten the family’s peaceful existence? Find out in this hilarious romp with the Weavers!

Kit Morgan, aka Geralyn Beauchamp, has been writing for fun all of her life. When writing as Geralyn Beauchamp, her books are epic, adventurous, romantic fantasy at its best. When writing as Kit Morgan they are whimsical, fun, inspirational sweet and clean stories that depict a strong sense of family and community. 'His Prairie Princess' is the first of the Prairie Brides books and the first in the series of a long line of stories about Clear Creek, Oregon. One of the wackiest little towns in the old west! Get to know the townsfolk in Clear Creek and come sit a spell!
NOTE: Hi folks, it has come to my attention there is an erotica book floating around out there written under the name Kit Morgan. IT IS NOT MY BOOK! I do not, and never will, write in that genre.
Kit Morgan is one of my all time favorite authors and I am always excited to read her newest book. She is one of the few authors whose books I will read a second time. You always fall in love with all her characters and she weaves together a great story with each new book. Be sure to check out her books as I am sure you won't be disappointed!!
Each of the stories were really humorous and lovable. Ma Weaver and her overindulgent boys found wifes through mail order. The Weavers lived on a farm outside of Nowhere so the characters also intermingled with The Rileys and their wives. I think each story demonstrated that the twins Calvin and Benjiman needed to mature greatly before getting married although they were 24 I believe. Arlan's wife was really young 18 she literally escaped from a incestous marriage so her uncle could get her inheritance which she new nothing about. Of there a woman who made it her mission to break them up, I don't understand women not taking vows seriously, anyway it almost worked then to be kidnapped by a crazy man hired by her uncle. Anyway it resolved it self with Olivia being force to marry the uncle. Of course he went to prison for attempted murder. Benjiman's wife had been raped prior to coming so when she told him after the marriage, well they got married the day she arrived. Her parents wanted her away as far as possible. Anyway she was afraid of his reaction and also that she might be pregnant. He was angry but forgiving because he loved her. He also had gotten advice from Arlan. He filed a police report and hoped the man would be arrested (right). Anyway she ends up pregnant in Calvins story with his wife Isabella. The are really funny both have tempers and she speaks little english. Charity, Benjiman's wife is pregnant so they tell every one the whole story. So Ma Weaver has to keep peace because they are mad at Ben and Charity for keeping it a secret. And no sympathy for her being raped. It was the same thing back then a woman's fault. Anyway, the accused man comes to the farm and tries to kill everyone including Charity and the babies. But Isabella saves the day by hitting him, by the time the men come everyone is fine. Other stories about William Johnson and Bernice a mail order bride, Tom Turner as a teen and then a short story about Isabella brothers and sisters coming to America.
I found this book on sale via Bargainbooksy. Average 1.7 stars. Would not read again. My God, they all fucking cry! Niagara Falls. #05 The Springtime Mail-Order Bride *** The story had too many problems, it was ridiculous. #13 The Columbus Day Mail-Order Bride DNF* Slow, boring, and irritating. Then plenty of triggers about violence against a women, with too many details, including the pleading while it happened. #14 The Harvest Time Mail-Order Bride DNF* The rape's details and more details. Then the attitude of the people around them, mainly the family, the judging and everything else. Also, Daniel, who would be last to marry, isn't even in this series.
I enjoyed the lively humorous characters in this book. The writing flows naturally and the perspectives on psychology and forgiveness are instructive in a positive non-preachie way. My thanks to the author for this since it helped me help a friend with simple things to consider in her own circumstance. Bless you.
This book is three in one. It's the stories of the first three Weaver boys to marry. It includes some side stories to smooth out the details between the stories and linking to the last Weaver to marry. If you're purchasing Kit Morgan's books, this is definitely a great purchase.
This was an awesome set of stories and I loved every minute of them!!!! If you love sweet and clean romance stories, you'll love this set of stories!!!! I love the Weaver family and can't wait to read Daniel's story!!!!
This is bk 5, bk13 and bk14 from the Holiday Mail order bride series which I already have read and enjoyed. This does have 2 tales so to speak that I also enjoyed reading.
