A Tangled Web
Meet four Jared, Brenton, Monica and Ren. They are as devoted to each other as if they were family. Their unconditional love and fellowship are unwavering. However, due to circumstances affecting all of their lives individually and collectively, each member experiences heartache, manipulation and deception. The incessant drama has the potential to break the strong bond they share.
Jared, a Psychologist and the most logical member of the group, is reconciling the ending of a long lasting relationship due to being cheating on, and contracting Chlamydia from his significant other. Even though his heart is shattered to pieces, he finds love in a very unexpected place, to his surprise.
Brenton is a self-admitted whore, who is unapologetic about his sexual proclivities, arrogance, narcissistic behavior, and abrasive attitude. Most of his attention goes to his successful career as a premier Real Estate Agent, where he does not only sell homes, but lifestyles, as he puts it. Unfortunately for him, his sexual house of cards has begun to collapse. Unexpectedly, a new love has seduced him, but he has severe apprehension of letting it take him over.
Monica is an entrepreneur with her own lucrative hair salon. She’s in a happy, committed relationship, at least that’s what she wants, but she feels smothered and that her current relationship is moving too quickly. As a result she seeks outside comfort from an old friend of the past. As a result of poor decision-making, Monica finds herself torn between two people she deeply cares for and is heavily confused about what her actions should be and its consequences.
Ren is a dreamer. He’s a sensitive soul and attempts to be the peacemaker among his friends. Ren desperately wants to quit his job and break into the music business as a legitimate, professional singer/songwriter. He get’s his big break, but as the old saying goes, “be careful what you wish for”. Ren’s pleasant and peaceful life is completely turned upside down as he ingratiates himself further into the Music Industry. He becomes quickly overtaken with the decadence, lies, and darkness of a musician’s lifestyle. Ren is discovered by one of the most popular producers in the world, J-Rok, whose use of Ren and his talent is ambiguous, at best.
Will these four friends resolve their predicaments? Can they sustain their friendship through all the quagmires they face? Who will Monica choose? Will Brenton break down his defenses and let love come into his life? How will Jared grieve of his lost love? What will Ren do when he becomes entangled in the web of lies and deception springing from the music industry, more specifically, J-Rok?
