“DIVIDED WE FALL” prelude! America is divided! And now a hero has fallen and it may split the country even more. Can Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman stand against riots while defending a bigoted enemy? Don’t miss the beginning of an epic adventure that will test the ideals of our three heroes!
Cullen grew up in rural North Carolina, but now lives in the St. Louis area with his wife Cindy and his son Jackson. His noir/horror comic (and first collaboration with Brian Hurtt), The Damned, was published in 2007 by Oni Press. The follow-up, The Damned: Prodigal Sons, was released in 2008. In addition to The Sixth Gun, his current projects include Crooked Hills, a middle reader horror prose series from Evileye Books; The Tooth, an original graphic novel from Oni Press; and various work for Marvel and DC. Somewhere along the way, Cullen founded Undaunted Press and edited the critically acclaimed small press horror magazine, Whispers from the Shattered Forum.
All writers must pay their dues, and Cullen has worked various odd jobs, including Alien Autopsy Specialist, Rodeo Clown, Professional Wrestler Manager, and Sasquatch Wrangler.
And, yes, he has fought for his life against mountain lions and he did perform on stage as the World's Youngest Hypnotist. Buy him a drink sometime, and he'll tell you all about it.
Trinity #7 is an interesting take on what would become DC's "anti-trinity". Ra's al Ghul, Lex Luthor and Circe: villains of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman respectively. Whereas the bond of our Trinity is based on friendship, family and ideals, this evil trinity's alliance in forged in ambition, pride and inevitability. Would this tentative title be permanent?
So, these three are mysteriously called to this Pandora Pits, which is an evil version of the Lazarus Pits. We still don't know what they do but the purple bubbly goo definitely tells that this pool is bad. Add the awkward evil-Super-Bat-Woman creature which showed up, I would definitely not mess with it.
This evil trinity's alliance in forged in ambition, pride and inevitability.
The seventh issue of Trinity takes the story into even a more mysterious direction. I doubt that this one is Watchmen-related, but who knows? I almost dropped this series in my haul list, but this definitely made me interested again.
What if? That is the question that comes to mind after reading this issue that shows the situation from the villainous perspective. It's all talk & no action!
Very different because it was more about the villain related to the three heroes than about the heroes them self. But still very good and I'm looking forward the next one!
I love Cullen Bunn, so I forgive this for being a little campy. He's always done big, mystical idea stuff, but it rarely disappoints. Not the most elegant beginni to an arc, but I'm very excited to where he takes this book—which has quickly become a favorite.
The formation of a possible "Anti-Trinity" with Lex , Ra's and Circe
Well to start off they reference Pandora... Please don't , Don't bring Pandora back . I mean the sins were one of the worst trio and their story line was just awful during the new 52 and honestly I can't take it again .
Meanwhile this was written by Sholly Fisch and yet the problem remains that for majority of the story the events are simply incomprehensible .
There was like 4 panels worth of action and that too was cluttered and made no sense . That said Art remains the saving grace.
There obviously is a lot of promise with such formation of anti-trinity but with next few issues focusing on events of Superman Reborn , I'm unsure of what the authors have in mind and hopefully the next arc manages to go that extra mile to become a fantastic story instead of just being another decent one
