New Moon by Lisa Kessler
Moon series #8. Paranormal shifter romance. Best read as part of the series in order. This book wraps up the series arc bringing it full circle back to an event from the first book.
Sebastian has been subtle in his decisions to help his father and the Nero organization or undermine. Now he’s found his mate and needs to make a commitment.

Action packed conclusion. One of the children twins plays a key roll which makes for anxiety. The wrap up brings back characters from the previous stories where Sebastian was more enemy and now he has to answer for those actions.

I don’t want to add spoilers so will only say the wrap-up satisfied the overall arc and I don’t have to worry about them now.

Spoiler-free series review!

Over the past couple of weeks Lisa Kessler’s Moon series has become my latest addiction, and with an ongoing storyline leading towards an explosive finale, it’s certainly a series you need to read in all its full 8 book glory.

description This is the survival of our family, our Pack.”

description

With each book, we’re brought a romance between a different couple and the love is pretty insta. And it works because when a wolf finds their mate, human or otherwise, they fall hard, fast and bring an urgency and intensity to the pages as they venture down the path of true love.

description I need you to know, you’re my light in all this darkness. I don’t want this to end.”

Every single character—good or bad, major or minor—brings value and plays their part in this series, and their introductions are done in such a way in that they remain memorable rather than leaving the reader drowning in a who’s who. The men are stubborn and just the right amount of alpha, the ladies are kick-arse forces to be reckoned and together they create plenty heat. Yet we often see their softer, more vulnerable sides and when paired with the unfolding fast-paced action-filled story arc, well there’s your answer on just why I became addicted.

description I’m glad we found each other.”

description

It’s always bittersweet closing the door on a series where you’ve fallen in love with the characters and felt every one of their losses and triumphs, but it was a hell of a ride and simply supports why Lisa Kessler has become one of my go-to authors when it comes to paranormal romance.

I'm pretty good at jumping into the middle of a series and for the most part, not get lost. I wasn't necessarily lost in this book, but because of who the main characters were and where the story left off, I highly recommend starting with book one.

The writing was very good. The plot was exciting and lots of good side characters. I liked that the H was an anti-hero. He has done bad things for his father who is not a nice guy. In this book you see Sebastian has some heart and while he can't erase his past, he is working towards keeping everyone safe.

I loved that Sebastian didn't just turn good all of a sudden. He struggled with doing the right thing and still be the person he was with his father. I know once I go back to read book one and work up to this one again, I'll get even more enjoyment out of the story.

Book Review For: New Moon by Lisa Kessler New Moon by Lisa Kessler My rating: 4 of 5 stars 'New Moon' by Lisa Kessler is book 8 in the "Moon" series. This is the story of Sebastian Severino and Isabelle Wood. I have read the last few books in this series but feel this can be a standalone book. Isabelle is looking for answers in the death of her father and she thinks Sebastian's father might be the one to have been involved. So she attempts to attack him to get those answers but her inter wolf won't let her. Isabelle's inter wolf recognizes him as her mate. Sebastian doesn't approve of his father and his actions, so he is always trying to be a step ahead of him. Isabelle's father was actually a mentor for Sebastian and he cared about him allot. Sebastian tries to stay alone and not connected to people because of the tragedies in his life with the lost of loved ones. But Isabelle is calling to all his protective needs and he is fighting his feelings for her. But these two can't fight their feelings for long!"My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."https://www.amazon.com/gp/profile/A2H...... https://www.facebook.com/RomanceBookR... http://booklikes.com/bloghttps://roma...... https://www.tumblr.com/blog/romancebo... I’ve been awaiting this novel with a mix of eager anticipation and dread as it is the concluding story in the Moon Series by Lisa Kessler and, whilst I wanted to know what happens, I also didn't want the series to actually end.

I’ve loved all the previous books and certainly also did this one, too, but that is also tinged with sadness as it feels like the end of an era and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed ‘catching up’ on the characters through this enthralling paranormal series and now there are unlikely to be any further updates! Having typed that, I have to say it was great to explore the whole saga through the eyes of jaguar shifter Sebastian Severino and so many puzzles were solved, especially regarding his relationship with his father and his role at Nero, as I read more of this novel. It is such a change to read the story from Sebastian’s point of view, especially as he now has the added dilemma of finding his mate to add to the components which make up his complicated life.

This is a thrilling conclusion to an enthralling series and, whilst sad at it now being concluded, this was a fitting finale with the perfect mix of angst, turmoil and romance that is usually found in novels by this talented author. Talk about drama - right from the start this story is packed with it! I’ll certainly be rereading the whole series again in the not too distant future and have no hesitation in highly recommending this book and the whole series to anyone who enjoys their mystery/suspense/thriller with a healthy dose of paranormal romance!

I requested and was gifted a copy of this novel via NetGalley and chose to read and review it. This is my honest opinion after reading the book.

I was really hoping that Sebastian would get his own book since he's been in the last two books that I've read. He intrigued me because I wasn't entirely sure what side he was on and I don't think he really knew when it came down to it who's side he was on either. His father is the head of The Nero Organization who had kidnapped people and did experiments on them. Now his father wanted to kidnap some of the family he didn't know existed until recently *or a couple of books ago* and do more experiments on them. He's not a good guy and Sebastian is really only following orders so that his father doesn't give the order to have him killed or worst.

Isabelle is Raven's sister and they were both in the last book I read. Raven is now Luke's mate and lives in Reno with his pack. Isabelle was turned into a wolf shifter when Raven bit her when they were being held hostage by the crazy alpha of their pack. Isabelle was a bounty hunter before she got turned and she's still working as one now.

Their first meeting isn't without a little drama, I mean she did stab him but then she got him medical help so it kinda sorted itself out. Ha! As soon as Isabelle touched Sebastian she knew that he was her fated mate. Sebastian is a jaguar shifter so I'm guessing that's why he didn't feel the pull of the mate bond as soon as she did. It took a little time for him to fall for her but it was obvious that she started getting under his skin right away.

Isabelle wants information about her father and how he died since she found out that he worked for the Nero Organization. She thinks that because Sebastian's father is the head of the organization and he works for his father that he will have some info for her but she knows he's the enemy because working for those people is what got her father killed. But Sebastian might not be the enemy that she thinks he is and she can't kill him once she knows he's her mate.

While they are trying to get things sorted between them, he finds out that his niece has been kidnapped by his father and he knows that his father plans on doing experiments on her so when his sister and brother in law ask for his help, he knows that he's going to help even though they don't like or trust him.

Sebastian's sister is mated to the alpha of the Reno pack and even though the alpha and most of the pack don't trust Sebastion, he's there to help save his niece. The danger was high, the action was great and the romance was so good. I really enjoyed this book. I read that there is a spin off series about the Sedona pack and now I'll have to read that too.

I LOVE a good redemption story. Jaguar shifter Sebastian Severino has always been chaotic neutral. Doing what is best for him at the time and let the chips fall where they may. But for the last few books, since he discovered his half sister, he has become conflicted. New Moon may be the last book in this series (pout) but it is a whole new beginning for Sebastian and a large part of that has to do with wolf shifter Isabelle Wood. Secrets come out and justice is done. A really enjoyable read.

Going into a series on the last book isn't generally advised, but I managed to follow Sebastion and Isabelle's story well, if |I had read other books in the series I do believe I would have felt more of connection to the other characthers.

Sebastion is a shifter and is the son of the baddie of the series, Sebastion is not the baddie he appears, he attempts to curb his dad's badness where he can.

Isabelle is Wolf shifter, something she chose.

Isabelle gets a shock when she touches Sebastion - she planned to hurt him a lot, but her wolf wouldn't let her as the she-wolf recognized its mate!

This book is a mixture of romance and action and I imagine if you've read the other books, stories are being tied up.

I enjoyed this book but do wish I had read in order just to get that extra bit out of the story.

First off I want to thank the author for gifting me this ARC through the publisher. I am new to Shifter books but I enjoy the complete change of story. In shifter books Mates are very much a real and intense thing. I requested this book (initially not knowing it was book 8 in a series) so I could read it and then gush about it to my friend who is OBSESSED with shifter books. I read a few reviews which stated it could be read as a standalone.. and I felt the same way reading it. I couldn't get over the actual words and sentence structures. there wasn't a cohesive thing.

My wolf wanted him , shh I told my wolf
I want him dead, my wolf wants him
I could have killed him but my wolf thinks were mates
over and over again but her character is supposed to be this kickass wolf but internally shes a lost puppy. strong one minute and weak the next.

it didn't work for me.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I have bought my own copy of this book and already have the rest of the series!

The cover is good, but it would be better with his beast as well!

This is the 8th book in the series, but it is the first one I’m reading. I’m not sure what is wrong with me, but I haven’t read any of Lisa’s books before now. The sad part is I own this whole series. I do plan to fix this problem in the future. This is for adults only due to the violence and steamy content.

Isabelle is pretty amazing especially that she can see past another’s shady past and make her own decision on his current actions and trust him. Sebastian seems to have a very twisted past thanks to his daddy. I couldn’t put this book down. There is tons of action, back story, and a demented daddy. I loved all of the connections that this book brings to light.

I highly recommend to any shifter fan who loves a good complex storyline with plenty of action! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

This is the first in the series for me and I sorta wish I had read the first 7 to have a better understanding of what was going on.

Sebastian is Nero's best assassin. He does what he has to and no one knows the secrets he's keeping. He doesn't openly defy his father, but he does make it very difficult for him.

Isabelle is a PI and bounty hunter. She's used to going up against the bad guy and getting what she wants. However facing off with Nero to find out what happened to her father isn't going to be as easy as she thinks. When her wolf makes a decision that takes her choices from her....it's going to be a long ride for these two shifters.

Kidnappings, killings, plans for revenge, finding family, and so so so much more. It was quite a great book and I couldn't put it down.

Lisa Kessler is a new author to me, I thought I would try her book because it sounded good. I am so glad I did! This is a series book, which I didn't realize. I have since gone back and gotten those books because this book was so great! This one is about Sebastian and Isabelle. I loved them together from the very beginning! I was hooked from the very first paragraph. Sebastian is a jaguar shifter who is trying to keep people safe from his father's craziness. Isabelle is a wolf shifter who is trying to find out what happened to her father. She is a fierce woman who can see what is behind the walls of Sebastian. I highly recommend this series! There were twists and turns and I loved it all!

Jaguar shifter Sebastian Severino is an assassin for the Nero Organization owned by his father. He has, however over the years come to understand that what his father is doing is wrong. The only way he can see to put things right is by staying at the heart of it.
Wolf shifter Isabelle Wood is a P. I and a bounty hunter. Her target this time is more personal, it's the man who killed her father.
This is part of a series that should be read in order to understand fully what is happening and why.
Trust is the really big issue in this story. Our heroine finds out something she really didn't expect, and that throws everything she believes into a spin. Our hero knows he has done many evil things, but there is a line he will not cross.
A very exciting and action packed story that will have the pages flying past. I loved every page, a great way to round off the series.

Sebastian, a jaguar shifter, has a reputation. Some, okay, most, of it is earned, while the rest is simply because of who he is, as in part of the Nero Organization and son of the leader. He's done some bad things in his life and there are those that only see that part of him, not the good he's done. However, he's about to meet the one person that will truly see all that he hides from everyone else.

Isabelle, a turned wolf shifter, hasn't had an easy life since she and her sister, Raven, lost their parents. When Raven was bitten against her will, Isabelle didn't want her to be alone as had Raven turn her. Since then, they've overthrown the corrupt evil Alpha responsible for it, Raven is now happily mated, and Isabelle wants revenge on the man she believes killed their father. But she never expected who that same man would be to her, nor what that connection would entail.

As the dance, one wrought with danger and intense chemistry, between Sebastian and Isabelle begins, former enemies become allies and Sebastian must make a choice between all he's ever known and the woman meant to be his.

But what happens when it's discovered that Sebastian finally has a weakness and her name is Isabelle? Will Sebastian and the Reno Pack finally put everything behind them in order to take down their biggest threat? Can Sebastian and Isabelle overcome all obstacles to be together? Or will Sebastian make the ultimate sacrifice to save the woman he loves?

Oh my gosh! It's Sebastian, people. One-click, one-click now! If you've read the previous books in the series, and you should because they're fantastic, plus, you lose a lot of the story without having the whole background, then you know Sebastian and the part he's played in everything. He has enthralled me since first being introduced. It was such a joy to follow his journey toward a much deserved happiness as he meets Isabelle and forges a new path.

Wow!! I have loved the other Moon Series books that I have read, but Lisa Kessler truly saved the best for last, in my humble opinion! This book is sensuous, sinister, scintillating, and suspenseful all rolled into one.
Sebastian has appeared as the heartless assassin in some of the other books in the series, and he has always acted as a puppet for his nefarious father. In this book, I actually got to see the many layers that make up the real Sebastian.
Isabelle hates Sebastian and everything he stands for, and she is tasked with assassinating him. When the time comes, she is not sure she can kill him.
This story pulled me in from the beginning and kept me there through the end. There are twists and turns that I absolutely did not see coming! I highly recommend this book and the Moon Series.

New Moon is as exciting and intensely gripping as the first book was in this series.

“The wolf demands her mate. But the woman loathes the man.”

New Moon by Lisa Kessler is the stunning conclusion of her fantastic Moon paranormal urban fantasy series. This is jaguar shifter Sebastian Severino’s and werewolf Isabelle Wood’s story. The story is told in the alternating points of view of the hero and heroine allowing the reader to be aware of the thought processes of each. Sebastian has been a villain throughout this series and his redemption will not be easy.

The Moon series takes place in and around Reno, Nevada, home to a werewolf pack whose future has been on a collision course with the Nero Organization. Each installment in the Moon series has been fast paced and action packed. New Moon is the eighth and final book in this series. While all the other books have worked very well as standalones, I would be hesitant to recommend jumping into the series with New Moon as Sebastian’s story has been building since the first book. Lisa does seamlessly integrate historical information necessary to newbies so they are never lost, but, honestly, if you can, start with the first book and read the series in order. It’s an awesome adventure and you won’t be sorry.

Sebastian is the heir apparent to the infamous Nero Organization, a nefarious covert quasi-military corporation, which supplies assassins for hire. The Nero Organization’s focus has been on creating the perfect shape-shifting slaughtering machine because killing is their business.

As this story opens, Sebastian has been tasked by Antonio, his father and the mastermind behind Nero, to gather forces to attack and take down the Reno pack. Antonio wants revenge for Damian’s, his other son’s, demise at the hands of the Reno pack – a death that the Reno pack was forced to execute in self-defense. Sebastian is having second thoughts about this mission as his father has demanded that he also kill Adam, Lana’s mate, and Lana’s son AND deliver his sister and her daughter, Sebastian’s sister and niece, back to his father and Nero.

Lisa has done a great job ingraining a dislike of Sebastian from book one. That said, since Sebastian found his sister mated to Adam, the Reno’s pack’s alpha, with two shifter children, Sebastian hasn’t been as hard-core evil as he was in the first few books. One obstacle to Sebastian’s redemption is Sebastian himself as he has to be convinced that redemption is a path open to him and that he is worthy of being redeemed. Sebastian grew on me as this story progressed. I still wouldn’t call him a series favorite, but, I will agree that he has suffered enough for his misdeeds.

Isabelle’s life hasn’t been easy either. She is a bitten werewolf and works as a bounty hunter. Sebastian is her latest target. She shoots him, but then her wolf won’t allow her to kill him. I was captivated by her internal fight with her wolf. Her human side has a strong dislike of Sebastian; Her wolf wants him with every fiber of her being.

Will the couple’s love and chemistry be enough to overcome Sebastian’s past and to thwart Sebastian’s father’s plans?

Following please find a few of my favorite quotes from New Moon:

“Making me fall in love with you and then dying would be a dick move.”
---
“I could shoot you in the foot."
"Please do. At least then I wouldn't have to endure this sock humiliation any longer.”
---
“He brought up both hands to hold my face. "I would die for you, Isabelle."
"No." I shook my head. "Live for me.”
---
“I never dreamed redemption would be this good.”

I’ve been of huge fan of Lisa’s for like forever. I've read everything Lisa has ever published and I love, love, love her books. She is a storyteller extraordinaire. The entire Moon series has been a wild thrill ride to read. New Moon is as exciting and intensely gripping as the first book was in this series. If you are a fan of paranormal urban fantasies and howling hot shifter romances, I would highly encourage you to check out the Moon series today!

New Moon
By: Lisa Kessler

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Review by Kristie K

Lisa Kessler brings an epic conclusion to the Moon Series with New Moon, where the dividing lines are blurred, and love breaks all boundaries…

In the eighth and final installment of the Moon Series, Ms. Kessler takes us on a journey through the tenuous and unlikely partnership between jaguar shifter, top Nero assassin, and right hand man, Sebastian Severino and werewolf, PI/bounty hunter, and total badass, Isabelle Wood. Bitter enemies, Sebastian and Isabelle are thrown together in an unexpected twist of fate, where tables are turned and loyalties are questioned in order to save the one thing that trumps all…family.

From front to back, top to bottom, New Moon was the whole package. With an eye-catching cover (yum…), and a blurb to hook even a picky paranormal reader, New Moon has what it takes to reel you in. Once you open up the cover? Well, the characters are engaging, resourceful, intelligent, thoughtful, and genuine. Sebastian is a beautiful soul, with a big heart…that has been forced to choose the lesser of evils most of his existence, and to maneuver and manipulate people and situations to protect the innocent. All without anyone knowing that his intentions were good…deep within the heart of this deadly assassin, beats the heart of a hero…just one that is unsung. Isabelle has always fought for the weak, protected those that can’t protect themselves, and removed the threat that no one can see. As a private investigator and bounty hunter, Isabelle goes after the bad guys and takes great pride in her ability to do her job well. When she is faced with the man that helped take so much from her and those she loves, her first instinct is to kill him. But her wolf has other ideas. One of the things I loved most about these characters was the fact that they were faced with insurmountable odds…so many challenges and impossible tasks, but they never wavered from doing what was right. I loved these two, and could have continued to follow them for a few more chapters. The plot and storyline were in depth, well thought out, and incredibly developed. With so many other characters and interwoven storylines coming before New Moon, Ms. Kessler did an amazing job of bringing them all together. Since this was the first of the series that I have read, I will definitely be going back and revisiting the other installments that I have missed. My only question now remains…what will Ms. Kessler have in store for us next?

Isabelle Wood is determined to get answers about what happened to her father, even if she has to hurt Sebastian Severino to get what she wants. Except when she discovers that Sebastian is her mate, she can't believe fate could be so cruel. However, when she discovers there's more to him than what she knows, she'll do whatever it takes to help him reunite his niece with his sister when she's kidnapped. Will they succeed in their mission, or will fate be even more cruel in denying them their shot at happy ever after?

What an amazing introduction I received to Ms. Kessler's sensational writing style after reading this book where I was engrossed right from the beginning to the very end. Seriously, I could not put this book down for even a second. The way this story started introduced me brilliantly to the hero, how powerful he is in the shifter community and how feared he is by other shifters. However, it was from the moment where the hero and heroine came face-to-face for the first time in this story where things really became intriguing, as the heroine isn't afraid to confront Sebastian and do whatever it takes to make him give her the answers she wants. What happens after she discovers the truth of how important they are to each other? Will Isabelle give Sebastian a chance?

The dialogue was compelling, well-written and intense due to this being an enemy to lovers trope encompassing story and the difficult challenges they face on their journey to happy ever after. Will the hero and heroine ever be able to fully put their trust in each other? How far is Sebastian's dad willing to go to make certain that the hero doesn't achieve his goal of rescuing someone important to him? Moreover, the hero charmed me from start to finish. He's a total loner and it's hard for him to trust anyone when what he does makes it hard to get close with a woman, especially when his father could use his affection for a woman to his advantage if he ever needed something over Sebastian in order to keep him in line. Yet, I liked how Isabelle continued to prove she could protect herself and could be an asset to whatever plans he had.

While the heroine, she really impressed me with her feistiness; her strength and bravery; and the way she challenges the hero, especially when he just expects her to fall in line with his demands. It's hard for Isabelle to accept that Sebastian is her mate, but there's no denying their bond. Can she prove to him that he can trust her? Yet, what I liked most about the heroine is that she didn't give up on Sebastian, even when things she learns about her parents deaths are hard to accept.

Overall, Ms. Kessler has penned a fantastic paranormal romance in this book where the chemistry and romance between the main characters was explosive; and which is a story that ended this series exceptionally well, most especially due to the way this story ended that illustrates how acceptance is important and how redemption is possible with a good mate at one's side willing to face whatever is thrown at them. However, what I liked most about the ending was the surprise Isabelle had for Sebastian and then the surprise he had for her. I would recommend New Moon by Lisa Kessler, if you enjoy paranormal romance, the enemy to lovers trope or books by authors Keri Arthur, McKenzie Hunter, Patricia Briggs or Rachel Vincent.

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre:  Romance, sci-fi and fantasy

We've reaches the end and I'm always feeling conflicted when that happens. In part because I love a good series and its hard to say goodbye, but set against that is the feeling of satisfaction when the little clues throughout the series are finally wrapped up, when we know who was behind things and why, how it all worked out.
With a good series we're left feeling hope for the future, that these people we've got to know so well are facing a time when they can finally relax, live a normal life, enjoy their friends and family. Still, I love rereading series so from me its not really Goodbye but See you later ;-)

The back to back reads through a whole series work best for me too, when each book is still fresh in my mind, so its easier to follow the story, recall which character fits in where. Sometimes after months and lots of other reads its hard to recall exactly who belongs with whom, and how they fit in the overall story.

I remember Sebastian from the first book, and he's changed. Or has he? Maybe its just my perception of him, as looking back the seeds of his discontent were clear even back then, but i just didn't see it.
Its a great author who can turn around a character so the callous, murdering, immoral man we met becomes someone we love, who we want to have that HEA...but Lisa does it for Sebastian.
I found he was a terrific man, that he had been trying to put things right as much as he could for a long time, and with a father like his no wonder he grew up to be the man he was. Thank god for his mother's influence, its whats kept that core of humanity in him.
Sebastian and Isabelle don't have the best start, with her trying to kill him....well, until her wolf tells her she Just Can't Kill Him! That's a bit of an eye opener and changes everything. Isabelle is shocked.

Its another fabulous adventure, when plans get made, and changed and remade all the time. Nero has really hit bottom in its actions here, kidnapping a child for Antonio Severino's cruel crusade, but it proves the catalyst for some unheard of co-operation.
Things quickly change in the story as the plots unfold, and this final book brings in many of the characters we've met in the preceding books. It opens up the Packs even more than they have been. It was a struggle getting Lana accepted into the pack, as she was a jaguar shifter back in the early books but since then they've become more accepting, less Wolf only insular and that's given them an edge they needed for this final battle.
They're not just a wolf pack now but have Jaguars, Psychics and humans among them and that's given them strength, and maybe what Fate intended, that supernaturals work together, find power in collectivety.

I've enjoyed the series as a whole, and love this last book. Looking back to some of the books that weren't quite top whack I can see the gaps that bothered me back then filled in now and I understand why things played out certain ways.
Despite not all the books being five star reads for me, the series as a whole deserves a solid five stars, it all adds up now.

Stars: five,a great read to finish a fantastic series

Wow! What an awesome ending to this series! This book has everything I have come to expect from a Lisa Kessler story – heart, heat, and humor with some suspense and mystery – and not only wraps up the Moon series nicely, but also leaves room for a spin-off.

Throughout this series it’s been hard to decide how I felt about Sebastian. He’s not a nice man, or should I say Jaguar shifter, but knowing he’s the product of his father’s manipulations has always made me think twice before just wishing Adam would take him out. He’s helped the pack but he’s also hurt them. And I loved how the author has given Sebastian a shot at redemption.

Isabelle was the perfect match for Sebastian. She’s fierce and determined and not about to let Sebastian dictate the terms of their relationship – either professional or personal. She has to come to terms with the fact that he is her mate, which has posed all sorts of problems for Isabelle since she blames him for her father’s death and knows the evil that he is associated with.

With things coming to a head these two really didn’t have time for a proper romance. Sebastian is right in the middle of everything going down, so their relationship is formed in the trust that they need to have in each other for the upcoming battle – trust that is hard to give to someone who you have always seen as the enemy. So those moments when Isabelle and Sebastian connect are even more meaningful. Isabelle sees beyond the mask that Sebastian wears which makes him want more. Their romance was raw and rough, but also very intense since there’s a good chance that one or both of them might not come out of things alive.

I loved that previous characters were brought in and loved everything about Adam’s role in this book. He’s always been such an awesome alpha to the Reno pack and it was great to see him take charge and make decisions which seemed questionable but truly had the strength and security of the pack in mind. It was great seeing the Reno and Sedona packs come together and finally taking a stand against Nero.

Although this is the last book in the series, it can be read as a stand-alone since the author does a good job filling in any necessary gaps. Of course for the best effect I would recommend starting at the beginning and getting to meet all the pack.

Well done, Lisa Kessler – and thank you for sharing your world with us. This has been one of my favorite series that I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves wolves and shifters.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book I received from NetGalley.

Loved this one! Love this series!! Sebastian is sort of an anti-hero, which I totally love, and I really enjoyed watching him find love. Isabelle is a total kick butt female, which is another thing I totally love, and I enjoy reading about a romance that the characters try to deny, but they can't resist the pull towards each other. Along with the sweet, deep romance, there's lots of great action scenes, and I loved seeing characters from the past books; it's great to see the different groups come together! Sebastian is a Jaguar shifter, whose father is evil, and Sebastian has been his right hand man for awhile, so Sebastian has compiled quite the list of enemies, but he's beginning to see that his father's actions aren't working towards a favorable outcome. Isabelle is a werewolf shifter, who father disappeared when she was younger, she found out the Sebastian and his father may have had a hand in her father's disappearance, so she has plans to take Sebastian down, but when her wolf won't let her, she doesn't know what to think. I enjoyed reading about the differences between jaguar shifters and wolf shifters, and there's an element of suspense throughout the book that kept my interest. The romance is wonderful, they have some hot moments, and they are really cute with each other; I had several awww moments! Love them as a couple! When I pick up a Lisa Kessler book, I know I'm in for some wonderful characters, exciting storylines, and passionate, heartfelt romance! I'll definitely be reading more by Kessler!

Each now again you get that one run that one book, that you prefer not to state farewell to those dearest characters, to the experience. For me, New Moon was that book.
New Moon is the eighth and last story in the Moon Series, it can be perused as an independent. In any case, to get the full entertainment and due to the plot, I would encourage to begin the Moon Series from the earliest starting point.
You heard the idiom the wrongdoings of the father. Well in Sebastian case that platitude couldn't be more genuine; however, with one telephone call from his sister. His niece that he never met was taken and held prisoner by his dad. It was dependent upon Sebastian to save her and put a conclusion to his dad's rule of dread.
Lisa Kessler made a brilliant showing with regards to the closure of this series. It had various curve and turns, and poor Sebastian was so missed comprehended by such a variety of individuals.
My most loved piece of New Moon was not the collaboration between the two primary characters but rather when Sebastian was to at last meet his niece. That scene between them was touching to the point that I needed to put the book down to dry a few tears.
New Moon was fantastic perused through and through. Brimming with activity, sentiment and a few alpha men to kick the bucket for.
New Moon is surely one book that I can see myself rereading several more time during the summer.

This is the first book in this this series.that I've read. Now I'm upset because I have to read the rest of them lol. I really liked this book and am interested in learning about the other folks in this story. I also had no issues reading this book before reading any of the others. It was very well done so that this story stood on its on. I was happy about that.

Not sure what Sebastian had done in prior books since I've not read them so I wasn't predisposed to dislike him. He seemed somewhat conflicted but in the end he not only chose sides he chose the right one. Any side that harms women and children is the wrong one in my opinion. My only regret was that he had to kill his father. Not that I regret he was killed because that man needed killing. I just regret that Sebastian had to be the one who did it

Isabelle was my type of heroine honest, strong, brave, and as my granny would say spunky. I believe this is the first time I've read a shifter book where a shifter found their mate by trying to kill them. I liked that she didn't let him leave her out even though he tried his level best to protect her She wasn't having it.

I give this book 4 stars and was given this book by via Netgalley in exchange for a fair and honest review and this is no way influenced my opinion.

The truth is somewhere in-between
The Nero Organization was created to make super soldiers. Creating Jaguars shifters and a few others. But the CEO, Antonio Severino and father to Sebastian, has made it into something else. Using the organization to further his own goals and agenda.
Sebastian is his father’s right-hand man. Sebastian tells himself it’s to keep his father from doing much worse things. But his agenda is much different from his fathers and yet most don’t know this. All believing Sebastian is his father’s hammer and that he loves doing it. No one truly knowing which side of the chess board Sebastian is playing on, not even himself some days.
Isabelle Wood, daughter of a once high-ranking member of the Nero Org. and mentor to Sebastian, is looking for answers. Trying to find out what happened to her father all the while believing the worse of Sebastian. But when she gets the chance to kill Sebastian, her wolf won’t let her finish the job. Instead of needing to protect what belongs to her wolf.
This is a story of lies, deceit, betrayals and never knowing for sure who the good guy and who the bad guy really is.
Extremely well written and highly entertaining self-contained story to read. You don’t want to miss out on this action packed and very enthralling story.

Omg,, this was great..Didn't want to get to the end and finish it...
Sebastian is the son of Nero's founder Antonio Severino ..
As an assassin and enforcer for Nero he is a hated man by all the Wolf packs..But what they don't all know is he doesn't always see eye to eye on what his father requires of him.
Isabelle is searching for her father..When she finds Sebastian and attempts to get answers, and tries to kill him, her inner Wolf won't let her...
Has she found her true mate? Can Sebastian stop his fathers plans to make the Jaguar shifters into a super race of soldiers?
Great read. Am sad to see this series come to an end...Maybe we will get lucky and get one more. Maybe get a Christmas reunion? Just to see what has happened to them all? Am crossing my fingers

The Nero Organization is back, and Antonio Severino wants his prize. Sending his son Sebastian to Reno is the only way to ensure that he will have Lana and her daughter, Sebastian’s half-sister and niece. Of course, her mate and son are not needed as they are nothing but wolves. He wants the Reno pack whipped, revenge for his other son’s demise. It doesn’t matter that Damien was killed by the Reno pack in self-defense, they need to pay for what they have done. And he wants the key to the future of the Nero Organization, the only female’s that were born shifters, not bitten. With them, he can breed a whole new breed of shifters, and finally fulfill his goal of domination.

Sebastian is the greatest assassin that the Nero Organization has produced. Loyal and obedient, he is the epitome of what Antonio wants to breed. But Antonio has forgotten one thing, Sebastian believes in family, and Antonio has already started severing the ties that bound him to his son. Sending him to kidnap his sister and her daughter without telling him who they were was only one of the many straws that have broken between them. Yet now the circumstances are higher, and the battle will be even more vicious. Not only does Sebastian want to save his sister and her family, but he has finally found his mate and she is right in the middle of the danger. Sebastian will have to use every skill that he has, because if he doesn’t defeat his father, not only will he loose the newest members of his family, but his mate as well.

NEW MOON is the 8th and final story in Lisa Kessler’s Moon series, and it ends with a bang! Sebastian has been the devil incarnate through this whole series, but there is always more to characters than anyone truly sees, and Sebastian is a lie, coated in mystery, and dusted in danger. He has so many different layers, and readers will finally be able to unravel them all to see what is finally underneath. A character of strength and a willingness to fight for what is right, even if he must do wrong things. And Isabelle is just the right type of character to stay by his side, dangerous and strong in her own right. This is a story of redemption and forgiveness and one that I will be going back to re-read numerous times.

New Moon is the 8th and last book of the Moon Series books by Lisa Kessler. Let me tell you… this book has everything! Action, adventure and of course some steamy romance. I did struggle at the beginning of the book to follow the story line. It seems to pick up where the other books left off. It can be read as a standalone, but I would suggest reading the other books as well. As a final novel to a series, Ms. Kessler did an outstanding job tying up the overall plot of the series. In fact, I was so drawn into the conflict, I almost wanted to start at the beginning of the series before I finished this one!

4.5 stars

This book is excellently written and the characters were well developed. The plot was fantastic with twists and turns along the way. Starting the series on book 8 was in no way detrimental to reading, but to get the full picture I would recommend reading from book one. This book centers around Sebastian and Isabelle. Probably if I read the series from the beginning I would understand how everyone thinks Sebastian is such a bad guy, but I personally think he is just misunderstood. He tries to thwart his father at every turn, but he struggles between right and wrong throughout the book. Isabelle is a bitten werewolf/bounty hunter/PI. She has it in for Sebastian because of her father's disappearance. What she isn't expecting was for her wolf to declare Sebastian its mate. Isabelle is torn between seeking revenge for her father and protecting Sebastian at all costs. Will the mate pull be enough for them to stay together?
