PURE is now available in this elegant gift-sized 5" x 6". Four years in the making, Anne Geddes' PURE, with eyes tightly shut, in wrinkly new skin, and unaffected by the world around them, newborns are captured in their purest form as Geddes explains, "to emphasize the fact that they are vulnerable, fragile, and very precious human beings." "Real women in the full bloom of pregnancy radiate serenity and promise. Mothers enfold babies in their arms - highlighting the beautiful bond between them and revealing our shared humanity."
Anne Geddes, MNZM, is an Australian-born photographer, currently living and working in New York. She is best known for her baby photographies and photographies on motherhood.
This one isn't like the other books I've seen by Anne Geddes. And I've gotta say it's my favorite. There's a whole different feel to this one and I love it! Beautifully done!
Not so much a "reading" book as a photography book. Normally I wouldnt have bought an Anne Geddes, but this one seemed so different than her others. Its more organic and natural, showing the bonds between mother and child.
Such an exquisite book filled with images that bring so much tenderness to my heart. Anne did a beautiful job on portraying motherhood through the vulnerability of babies.
