This book was written to help students acquire skills in setting-up wood workshop, workshop organization, and requisite knowledge in basic woodwork practices. Furthermore, the book was prepared to meet the demands of decision making in wood selection, preparation, joinery and products finishing. The book also satisfy the requirements of wood manufacturing technologies and basic woodwork practice as taught in Nigeria monotechnics, polytechnics and Universities based on the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), and Nigeria Universities Commission (NUC) curricula.The book extensively explore the following three cardinal areas of woodwork technology Wood workshop set-out, tools and machinery description and utilization, as well Woodwork practices and skills. The author believe that this book will acquaint the users with relevant information guided by triangular principles of workshop layout that predisposes their decisions on setting up and running functional wood workshop. Also, in order to appreciate the fascinating world of wood and its amazing engineering properties, effective workshop management, proficient machinery use and effective tool handling ability in operation are required which are available in this book.
