Violet is now nearing the end of her harrowing journey, but she still has a lot to accomplish. She is in danger of turning to the dark side and needs to take drastic action to purge herself of the toxin. She will have to trust in Fate that her plan won't go horribly wrong. Leo is still being held captive by the angels. Violet needs to rescue him and to retrieve Nathan's grace as well. It will take skills that she doesn't yet possess to pull this off. Once more, she will need to suffer before she can gain the abilities that she will need. When it comes to her friends, she is willing to do whatever she has to in order to keep them safe. Violet still has one final fragment of the object of power to retrieve, which means she will need to return to hell again. The Demon Princes warned her that disaster would fall once she killed them all. She will finally learn what they meant, but by then it will be too late. It will take power that is currently out of her reach to stop the apocalypse from wiping out humanity.
I began reading horror and paranormal books when most girls my age were still reading fairy stories. I always dreamed that one day I would be able to write stories that readers could become lost in.
The Mortis, Shifter Squad, Hellscourge and Fate's Warriors series are connected, but can be read as stand alone series. The overarching theme about Fate's chosen champions will come to an end with my fifth series; Loki's Exile.
My sixth series, Hunter Elite, begins a new saga with the seventh series, Half Fae Hunter, as a spin off.
Send me an email at subscribe@jcdiem.com if you would like to receive updates about pre-orders and new releases.
Hmmm. I couldn’t get thru the Mortis series, but the Shifter Squad series is one of my favs. I’ve finally finished the Hellscourge series and I have to say, I don’t love it.
I found the first book ok. The next six of do were a real struggle, which I put down to the dynamics between the characters. Brie made me want to rip pages out, and I didn’t enjoy the love triangle a little bit. Then the relationship between Violet & Nathanel barely worked for me.
So, it’s better than Mortis, but well below SS. If I hadn’t found the rest of the series in the library, I probably never would have gone past book 1.
I know the next part of the book arc would bring the SS crew back in, and I really want to ‘see them’ again, but I’m not really interested in the other two groups.
I read one book after the other and I don’t have the words for how much I love the authors ability to draw you in to the story! I’ve read all three series and I’m getting ready to start on warriors of fate!
Noooooo! Its end. I'm sad to see it end but also glad that Violet has Nathna now. Sam is back! I knew god wasn't going to leave him. I have read two out of the three "Fated Warriors" series. The only one that i haven't read is Mortis Series and that is one of my to to lists to read. Natalie.... here i come to read yours story. I'm honestly addicted to J.C. Diem books now. These are most definitely the best books I've read in a long time! I'm really looking forward to Diem's new series for them!!!
God of Mischief...... i wondered who that is? This is getting good.
This was a great conclusion to the series. Violet and crew are a great team. I love these books and the evolution of the story. Can't wait until JC's next book!
