PRIMAL #9

PRIMAL Deception

Rate this book
Lying low to avoid the scrutiny of the CIA, the covert vigilantes of PRIMAL are steering clear of trouble. Lead operative, Aden Bishop, has taken a job flying aid into war-torn Syria. But, when he stumbles upon cutting-edge weaponry hidden in a load of medical supplies all hell breaks loose. The action straddles the Middle East, Europe and Asia as the team face off against adversaries hell bent on profit, influence and power. Between Islamic State warlords and arms traffickers, Mossad assassination teams, a British hate preacher inciting jihad, and a sinister financial backer with friends in high places, PRIMAL will find themselves manipulated, out-gunned and ultimately deceived. When the dust settles, will PRIMAL be left standing or will it succumb to the forces arrayed against it?

I won’t lie, I’m just like every other guy on the planet. I love action movies, first person shooters, fast cars, technology, guns, cool kit and of course beautiful women. I grew up with Dirk Pitt, Jack Ryan, Jason Bourne, Doom, Wolfenstein, Commando Comics, James Bond, Rambo, The Predator and more. As a young man I have embraced Counter Strike, Half-life, The Bourne Series, Top Gear, Call of Duty the list goes on and on. Coupled with my military experience this seething mass of adrenalin-fueled testosterone has evolved into PRIMAL.

Another page-turner from Jack Silkstone!

The author brings back many of the same characters and adds some new ones. There is plenty of action to keep the reader fully engrossed and guessing! I look forward to the next in the series!

Another Great PRIMAL read!

Please quit reading reviews and click on the BUY IT NOW button. You will not be disappointed. This, in my opinion, was one of the top two books in the PRIMAL series. But in all honesty, I've read them all and so will you if you go back and purchase the first book in the series. I promise that within a few weeks you will be caught up with the rest of us (waiting on the next installment of PRIMAL!). FYI - I'm a fan of Clancy, Thor, Flynn and PRIMAL series ranks right up there with the best military thrillers out there. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a great ride, hours of entertainment and buy the first book. For all you veterans of the PRIMAL series I'm not sure why you are reading this and not already head first in the book but if you are reading this, the layoff and wait was well well worth it!! This is one of the absolute best in the PRIMAL series. Buy it, read it and you will agree with me that this book will remind you why we all became fans of Bishop in the first place! Well done Mr. Jack, well done!! Please keep the series alive, please! There are many out there that want the boys at PRIMAL to always come back for more! Thanks for great hours of entertainment.

A definite must read book and series

With intense, extremely complex, and intriguing stories, this is a definite must read series for those who love thrillers! It has awesome characters, hilarious banter, crazy antics (mostly caused by Bishop!! Lol!), mystery, suspense, action, as well as secrets, lies, betrayals, and so much more.
I really wish that I'd seen this series when it was initially released! A good trade off is that now I can read all of the stories together, which I love that. The only issues that I've had with this series is that it hurt my heart when the team suffered losses and tragedies, and I really would've loved if the series had a lot more books! It's a fantastic thriller series!
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

Like all of the PRIMAL series of books this one keeps you turning pages (figuratively, of course) until way past when you were planning to go to bed. It is complicated and keeps you thinking. There are always tense moments when it appears everything is going wrong but, somehow, and believably, the guys (and girl) find a way through. Excitement, action, humor, it's all there, until the closing page. Well worth the time to read it.

I need to give it a rest, these Silkstone stories are all the same in that they find the same kind of troubles all over the world. Then the story is how they get through it. That action Silkstone does well but, I am looking for something new and innovative, he doesn’t bring it. It was a decent read , just not as exciting as it used to be. 4.5

One of the best installments in a high quality indie series. This time the air freight company that serves as PRIMAL's front is delivering humanitarian aid to Syria when the team seeks to take down an arms dealer supplying ISIS and become embroiled in a Mossad plot. Excellent reading here for fans of realistic action thrillers with international settings and original characters.

Keep them coming

Another great story. Intelligent special ops. Too many books anymore like to screw up good planning but this series seems to keep the needle moving forward without huge setbacks that can be frustrating to a reader

Good title

This was such a good book I could not put it down. It was all shoot 'em up and bang-bang. Every single page had action going on, and on and on. The author did a wonderful job with this book.

Packed with action

The writer as always crafts an action packed book with the ninth book in the series. Primal is supposed to be standing down but as usual things change quickly and different assets are out on different missions but they are actually all linked together.

Great series

I’ve read all the Primal books. All are excellent. Right up there with all the Vince Flynn, Mitch Rapp books.

PRIMAL continues the fight

As author Jack Silkstone freely admits it has been a long time since the last PRIMAL story. Too long for this reader. In any case, the 9th edition does not disappoint. For any of you who missed it a new Silkstone novel was released in the interim, Seal of Approval was an excellent example of the many talents the author possesses, including a fun, lighter side, without giving up action. In truth, it was a better read than the latest PRIMAL project. 4 stars tho because the story was rooted in reality and bristled with loads of action-adventure. Silkstone and PRIMAL devotees may notice the book is a bit plodding in spots but, all in all, a good read. In some way this author always leaves me wanting one more chapter, and that's why I continue to recommend him.

"Fast Moving Thriller"

This novel is another action-packed novel about the PRIMAL covert action group which tries to avoid CIA detection. Lead operative, Aden Bishop is flying aid supplies to worn-torn Syria. But there is something hidden among the medical supplies. The action in this outstanding novel takes in the Middle East, Europe, and Asia as the team faces adversaries seeking profit, influence, and power. Deception is uncovered. Awesome author Jack Silkstone writes realistic high-action novels. Get comfy and enjoy the action. Highly recommend.

Great book! The Primal series by Jack Silkstone is fast moving, action packed and written by a "been there, done that" military special ops guy. This book is in my opinion, his best yet. It features an elite unit of hard core operators throwing down on some serious bad guys. Well done and well researched. If you haven't yet, you need to try the Primal series!

Great read. Enjoyed this book with some great twists and turns. Hope the next Primal continues with these story lines and adds in the Africa line.
