Jesus never said "Seek first" about any pursuit or purpose except the kingdom of God.But the church has essentially abandoned this central message, so that kingdom realities have become lost to us. Our neglect has been costly, because God's kingdom on earth—His cosmic initiative—has the authority and power to revolutionize our culture. This transformation occurs first within us and then around us, igniting the world with forgiveness, healings, miracles, righteousness, and peace.
The reason most people today do not seek the kingdom is that they have not seen it. Once they truly see it, they seek and follow the remarkable vision they have glimpsed. This is because discovering the kingdom is not just information but an adventure in revelation and transformation.
Well-known speaker and kingdom-seeker Jack Taylor invites us to be reintroduced to the kingdom of God and to experience the recovery of the kingdom gospel—leading to kingdom power, kingdom love, and the greatest kingdom harvest the world has ever seen.
Taylor begins with the all encompassing truth: the reality and centrality of God's Kingdom. “When we develop a kingdom mind-set, we comprehend God's ultimate purpose for humanity.” (28) He explores what the Kingdom is. “The Kingdom of God is the eternal rule of God over everything and everybody, everywhere, for all time and eternity.” (34) He calls God's purpose and plans for the Kingdom on earth God's cosmic initiative.
I appreciate that Taylor shares his own experiences, eighty plus years. He has a realistic understanding of the Kingdom, that it includes weakness and suffering, for example.
I like that he reminds us the Kingdom is a mystery, spiritual, eternal, and invisible. We must stop trying to figure it all out – stop trying to understand it all. We need to receive the Kingdom as an act of faith. He helps us understand how to align our lives to the Kingdom and how to prepare for the coming awakening.
I appreciate Taylor's teaching on the end times. He is beyond trying to figure out eschatology. He wants us to be busy advancing the Kingdom, not trying to discover the details and times of future events.
I recommend this book to those who want to align their lives to God's purpose, to the Kingdom. You will learn about the dynamics of the Kingdom and how to have a Kingdom mind-set.
Food for thought: “It is time for us to commit the remainder of our lives to the priority of earnestly seeking and finding God's Kingdom and His righteousness.” (163)

This is certainly a very thought provoking book which I enjoyed studying. I wasn't quite sure what the book was about but as I delved in I found myself bring quite intrigued by the author. It is so true when he said we can be a Christian for a long time "but miss the true center of one's faith." I remember very clearly always hearing the scripture,"Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness , and all these things will be provided for you. " ( Matthew 6:33) I always wondered what things were to be provided to us? But I don't think I remember that scripture really being explained to me. The author lays it out in easy to understand terminology by saying, "The Kingdom of God is not only at the center of reality; it is the center of reality." So if it is the center of everything it only makes sense for us to " make the Kingdom of God the center of our lives and faith."
I really love the depth the author goes into to explain the Kingdom and how important it is for us to understand the keys to the Kingdom which represents power. We have been granted those keys when we gave ourselves to Him. Now we can use those keys to release power into our situations. One of the things I loved that the author spoke about was the key of confidence. No matter what our situation may be, we have been given the key of confidence to get through it. He explains many of the different keys of the Kingdom that encouraged me and gave me a sense of strength. The book is really an eye opener for me and I enjoyed reading the book. It is one I will go back and reread over and over again. Thank you for a book that goes deeper into the word and helps readers understand the Kingdom of God and how important it is to each of us.

I completely agree with everything in this book. It has a great Kingdom message, one we really need to be aware of. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in now, what is in your face and forget that there is so much more going on around us. Jack outlines everything very well, starting from the beginning and what God’s plan was and how it got all messed up. I know I often forget about forget about the bigger picture and there are so many more things at play then what my eye can see. With all of the being said, I had a lot of trouble staying focused as I read, it just didn’t pull me in and keep me there. Even though it is a great message, for me the delivery didn’t hold my attention like I wanted (or needed) it to. Of course, that could just be me and someone else will totally get pulled in.

Cosmic Initiative is the culmination of a lifetime of Kingdom revelation, application, and communication from Jack R. Taylor. This is a highly accessible, practical and powerful guide to welcoming the reality of the present Kingdom of God into life. You do not need to be a theologian to discover riches from this book . It will produce a hunger for "much more" from God.
A well rounded very readable volume on the Kingdom of God by a man who has been obviously been seeking it his entire life. Exactly what one would expect from an insightful clear minded author with over 80 years of experience in life and over 60 years of study on the subject—a rich and deep well.
