Life in space can be tough - and when you’re balancing a hydro-herb habit, mysterious intruders and an impending reunion, things get even tougher.
Luckily, Space Commander Greasy is not alone, and with the help of her best robot pal, Cybernetic Unit Normally for Troubleshooting, she (and her ship) might just get through the next 24 hours in one piece!
Edited by Hannah K. Chapman, and with contributions from Katriona Chapman, Lucy Haslam, Lize Meddings, Honey Parast, Becca Tobin, Alice Urbino, Beth Wood and Jenn Woodall, CBSP: Deep Space Canine explores strange new worlds, discovers wild new civilisations, and solves the age old problem – what to do when you’ve lost your best pair of knickers.
I really really love the previous two CBSP offerings for their acerbic, shotgun-blast, punk, feminist qualities but, other than the excellent title and a decent showcase for a handful of diverse art styles, the flimsy, floaty, stoner in space vibe of this collection really didn't do much for me sadly. If you can track down Greasy's Guide to Nookie or Fairytales for Bad Bitches though, they are definitely worth a read!
Bought this for the title alone (DS9 is my alltime favourite tv series) but didn't realize it was a stoner comic. 2.5 for the story but I am upvoting it because I really liked the artwork, apart from the somewhat weak story (and again, not into the whole stoner thing but that was my bad).
Absolutely loved all the different art styles in this one, and the storytelling was more cohesive than in Bitch Mountain, which I also enjoyed aesthetically!
