Brody is devoted to protecting the heir to the Dragon Throne but when the child is taken by the Gallos he sets off with one mission..... get her back. Baldo Gallo will stop at nothing to get what he wants and that includes kidnap and murder, his home is in Haven Springs. Marissa is a human and a distant family member of the Gallo Clan and it turns out she is Brody's mate and his beast recognises her. Marissa’s cousin Laura has taken the child from the Hall and tries to take her to safety. This story will have you on the edge of your seat shouting at your kindle, I absolutely would recommend you read this series.

Giving up on finding a mate, Brody devotes himself to protecting the heir to the Dragon Throne. When the child is taken by the Gallos, the guilt Brody feels consumes him. Baldo Gallo believes his Clan is the rightful heir to the Dragon Throne and will stop at nothing to get what he wants; win or die. Brody is anxious to proceed with the rescue mission, so he can prove to himself he is worthy of the Dragonsworn position. Heading to Haven Springs, Brody meets Marissa, a human and a member of the Gallo Clan; he should keep her firmly at arm’s length, but how ironic it is that Brody’s failing has led him to his mate, the one his beast recognises. Even though Marissa is caught between two factions, she agrees to help Brody get into Gallo Hall, neither realising they have been lured into a trap. Marissa’s cousin, Laura, tries to whisk the child to safety, but her only reward is death, but not before she is able to hide the child. It has all been for nothing as far as Marissa is concerned; she has lost everything in the space of a day. At some point, Marissa’s longing for freedom and independence became a need to protect her cousin, but it is too late now. Brody will never abandon Marissa to her murderous family. They had nearly taken everything away from him; Marissa, the child, his position as Dragonsworn, but is Marissa able to accept the real Brody, the one he has worked hard to keep inside? This was a very engaging story and an enjoyable read; certainly a book I would have no hesitation in recommending.

Again Cecilia Lane has not disappointed, another fantastic read I couldn't put down. Keeping with the same emotional rollercoaster as the first book with Rafe and Lola, Brody's and Marissa's book was another book I couldn't put down until finished.
Another strong set of characters to hold a strong story with the dragonsworn, though this time slayers were not the problem but again family was. Can't wait to sink my teeth in to Levi's story and see if his book holds just as strong as I'm sure it will.
Again just want to thank Cecilia Lane for the amazing opportunity to read and review this book and series and look forward to reading many more and will recommend to anyone reading this to give it a go :) you will not be disappointed.

Each set of characters are going to keep you turning the pages to see what happens next,plenty of action packed into the storyline and combined with their passionate interactions will have you totally immersed in their struggles to get their HEA!! Great 2nd book in this series
Brody, a bad ass dragon and bad tempered bodyguard (per say). Guard to the Princess of the Dragons.
Marissa, baker and hu!man relative to the evil Dragons wanting to take over as rulers of the Dragons.
When the Princess is kidnapped by the evil dragon wanting to take the crown from her family, Brody has no other choice but to go after them.
What happens when your mate it from the other side of the tracks?
What happens when you are sworn to protect the princess at all cost, even when it's against your mates family?
Who wins? Who loses? Will you get your mate in the end?

“Singe” is the second book in the Dragonsworn Series and another five star read. I couldn't put the book down once I started. Brody is one of the Dragonsworn guards entrusted with the safety of Cassandra, heir to the throne. Cassandra is kidnapped during Brody's watch. Brody meets Marissa a human of the Gallo Family (the suspected kidnappers). Marissa who has always been treated badly by the Gallo family agrees to help Brody find Cassandra. Will they find Cassandra in time? This romantic, action packed story is certainly worth reading.

Another great series
You will want to get this series the heroes in this series are protective of those they sworn to do so and as they find their mates to surround them with love and protection get the entire series it is well worth the read

I voluntarily read this advanced readers copy of this story. I really enjoy this series. The story was well written and the author kept my attention from start to finish. I love the fact that character from another series make a foray into this story so we get a peek at what is happening in their lives. I wasn’t able to put the story down once I started it. I just hope there will be more stories in this series.

Wow! If you are looking for a story that is different from the rest, packed full of suspense and action, with a romance to beat all others, then look no further. This one fits the bill. Brody is a Dragonsworn, one of three sworn to protect not only the king and consort, but the young heiress especially. When she is kidnapped during his watch, he feels the need to prove not only himself, but take any type of punishment doled out to him, no matter what. When he's sent to return the child, the first place he stops brings him an unexpected surprise. Only one problem...fate's timing is terrible...or is it? Marissa, orphaned at a young age and adopted by the Gallo dragon clan, has been abused her entire life with "the family". As soon as she was able, she left the mansion and has tried desperately to forge her own way, quietly. But when the door at the front of her bakery opens one late afternoon, the last thing she expected was to have Fate calling. Will these two make it out alive? And will they manage to save the heiress? Or will Fate let them down and bring them to their doom?
A wonderfully written tale that will have you on the edge of your seat from page one to the end. Definitely worth the read!

Another brilliantly written story by Cecelia. This series is fantastic. You can't put it down. I can't wait for Levi's story. You could read this standalone, but I do recommend that you read 'Smoulder' first to help unseat stand some of the references in this story.

The Dragonsworn are all the best of the best, picked to protect the Heir to the Dragon Throne who is Cassandra. Just a wee toddler at this point.
Brody is one such Dragonsworn on duty the night the child gets kidnapped. The alarms aren’t working and it’s 6 against one but he still blames himself that he wasn’t good enough. Brody is determined to get Cassandra back.
Along the way, Brody meets Marissa Gallo, a human born from the dragon line of the Gallo’s who is thought to be the clan responsible for kidnapping the child. But Brody’s dragon insists that Marissa is his mate. But he doesn’t know if she friend or foe.
This is a well written self-contained story that’s also part of a series. Enjoyable and entertaining to read.

I know some like it hot but this went straight to scorching. It also proved that blood is not thicker than water when it came to the family Marissa was born into. Just because she was born human shouldn't have made her a second class citizen. Brody showed her he didn't care what her family name was, and she showed him that she didn't either. The prime objective was to save the royal child, and what they got was way more with a HEA for themselves as well. Very well developed characters and story. I love how this series is playing out and look forward to the next book in store for us.

This book was fabulous. Brody is on duty when Cassandra is taken and vows to get her back. The Gallos have down this and they must pay. He travels to their land and meets Marissa at her bakery. Together they come up with a plan to get into Gallo Hall but when they get there, their plan is ruined and Brody is captured. Mar must rescue him and get the child back to safety. They fight together to ensure that the child is return and somewhere along the lines, they fall in love. Beautiful read with a great storyline.

Delightful adventure with dragon shifter suspense. The Dragon King's heir is kidnapped by a dragon family turned traitor. Brody is the guardian of the young princess and searches for her safe return. In the process, he comes across a human, Marissa, who turns out to be his fated mate. Excellent writing paints a vivid picture of the fight and rescue of the little girl. The romance between Marissa and the guardian is pretty hot too. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Five stars.

Book 2 of the Dragonsworn series is excellent !! It's Brody and Marissa's story of how they meet, save the Dragon Princess and overcome the Tomeo and Juliet type of family matters that face them . Lots of action, sexual heat, great story telling and I can't wait to read book 3 due out in March 2017 !! 4⭐'s and a great paranormal romance !! I received a gifted copy of the book and am voluntarily choosing to leave an honest and unbiased review.

The story contains some good battles of dragon against dragon, love and betrayal and some slightly steamy scenes. A great paranormal dragon romance.

Marissa Gallo is a human child of the Dragon clans and she does not like the politics of the group so she stays in her Bakery and bakes and loves it but then the Dragon guard comes to the bakery and wants her to help him find the child of whom he guards and they have sparks galore such a awesome good hot book the second book and it is just as good as the first loved it such spicy in it and hot and sexy read too. I loved this story. Marissa has to decide if the she should trust the dragonsworn Brody and get involved in dragon politics when all she wants to do is live her own life. Brody needs to decide if he can trust Marissa, a human of the dragon Gallo family, and if he can trust his dragon when it says that she is their mate. This story has intrigue, adventure and romance. It is wonderful fun and I can't wait to read more of this series.

An exciting, fast paced Dragon Shifter read. Brody is one of the Dragonsworn protectors of the King's daughter. After she is kidnapped on his watch, he will risk life and limb to bring her home. Along the way he meets his mate (Marissa.) Together with fight and determination.......they will prevail!

Another Dragonsworn book and just as good!! All I can think of is: "And another one bites the dust! ". The abduction of the de la rege child, Cassandra, is a race along breathe holding story full of unexpected romance and adventure. A must read!!
