For those of us who still appreciate a little rhyme in our poetry, 'Rhymings of a Disintegrating Mind' is an eclectic compilation of over 60 poems taken from the collections, 'The Rhyme Room', 'The Lost Property Window' and 'The Fallen' series of poetry and prose. It also includes poems from the Part-time Poets' other works of ficton and their web site. For simplicity, and hopefully for the convenience of the reader, the poems have been loosely categorised under the following headings: 'morbid thoughts', life's like that', 'smile, smile, smile...', 'love - lost and found', and 'real or surreal?' The Part-time poets are: Jonathan D. Lindley, the author of 'Haven', 'The Icing Man', 'Iy Correction' and 'Turpentine 6', and D. R. Summers, the author of 'Mirror Girl', 'A Christmas Cake in Spring' and 'Useless Augustus Good for Nothing'.
When is a bio not a bio? When it’s about Jonathan D. Lindley… Not much to divulge, therefore, about his whereabouts, his history or his appearance… We can, however, say this about his background: Like many a youngster, he played with his chemistry set in the garden shed. He built the occasional homemade rocket and set it off on the banks of the river Mersey. And, in terms of expected life span, he’s definitely more than half way through! Any more info and we could be giving the game away!
