Football jock bullies do not care until you threaten their play.
Nerds and geeks cans be creative in their revenge. They have nothing to loose. Drugs can end players careers, but almost all do steroids. Playing ball with students can end coaches and teachers careers. But the bullied boy can take control of all with fear and threats of revenge. How much will the team give of themselves to protect each other? Kevin has better evidence than anyone else.

Kevin vuelve a tomar protagonismo y esta vez podemos adentrarnos más en sus pensamientos. Los celos lo consumen, al igual que las dudas sobre lo que su madre podría pensar de él y de su sexualidad. También se nos ofrece una mirada —aunque superficial— al pasado de Kevin y Wade, lo cual aporta contexto y profundidad a sus dinámicas. Esa parte me gustó especialmente.
El acoso escolar se intensifica y adquiere un tono cada vez más estremecedor, en paralelo con la relación cada vez más cruel y manipuladora entre el entrenador y Wade. Mientras Kevin enfrenta el acoso físico y directo de los matones, Wade sufre un tipo de violencia más íntima y psicológica, siendo lentamente manipulado, usado y quebrado desde dentro. Ambos chicos están heridos, pero de formas distintas.

Each book’s draws you further into this crazy story
This book is a whirlwind. You’ve got the jocks bullying the nerds and then the whole crazy aspect of TX football. I actually read all the books in one day over two nights cuz I couldn’t wait to read the crazy that would happen next. Definitely feeling sorry for poor Wade. Was rooting for him to find a way out from under the coach’s thumb. If it’s not a genre you’ve enjoyed before than it’s probably not for you, but if it is, you won’t be able to put it down until the end!!
