I received this book willingly from the author.
We have Payton, heir to the Bears franchise and she's grown up in the stadium around the players.
Then we have Dax, the newest NFL franchise team owner. But really Dax only created the team and went as far as he did on a bet with his best friend Finn.
Dax and Finn are in a local dive bar one night after the ceremony introducing the new team when in walks Payton. Dax looks up and sees her sitting at the bar talking to the bartender and is smitten. Finn comes up with yet another bet for him and bets Dax that he can't convince Payton to fall for him. Dax is not one to turn down a bet at all so he goes for it.
Payton lives and breathes football and she's shocked when she receives the archaic ultimatum from her mother. But she's determined to make it on her own so she comes up with a plan. She will present Dax with a contract of her own to get what she wants and also get back at her mother.
Great book with a great HEA. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

Very Disappointing
I am a fan of Claire Adams and have read many of her books but this one totally misses the mark. The characters are not well developed. I had a hard time caring about either of them. The end was abrupt and l was left confused and wondering how we had gotten there. As for the football part of the story. I am a huge football fan and a Chicago Bears fan so this was part of what prompted me to want to read this book. Imagine my disappointment when I realized that the author either doesn't watch football or didn't care to make sure what was written was accurate. Last but not least was the awful editing of this book. Timelines were bad, typos galore and again game descriptions were poorly written. Overall a very sad effort by Claire Adams. If I could give it zero stars I would. Save your money and time.

Payton loves football and is the heir to the Bears Franchise but her mother will not allow her to become the GM. Dax Connor is the new owner of the Chicago Storm. Dax is always looking for a challenge and when his best friend tells him that he should try to get a relationship going with Payton he accepts. Payton knows what's going on and decide to make a deal they both like, but spending time together their feelings grew. I really enjoyed Dax & Payton and their banter back & forth. Great story with great characters accept maybe Payton's mom but it was a good story

Payton's family owns the Chicago Bears. So when her mother won't let her work as the GM for the bears, and gives her an ultimatum. What's a girl to do. So when she drunkenly runs into Dax the New owner of the Chicago storms she wants him.Dax wants Payton for the publicity, Payton wants GM. What will they do great read. This book includes four extra books. First extra book is called Billionaire on fire. Second extra book is called billionaire in Hiding. Third extra book is called power the boxed set. Fourth extra book is called billionaires passion. Great book must read.

Payton is a rich girl that loves her family business. But is very unhappy with the ultimatum her mom gives her about finding a husband & settling down or following her dream. With that she meets Dax who is the rich,handsome owner of a football team. She proposes a contract that will benefit them both. You have to read the rest to see how the story ends...
