Imposing no belief system or dogma, the teachings of Why Walk When You Can Fly? are practical and easy to incorporate into daily life, yet they produce a profound inner transformation. At the core are four “facets” — simple, powerful statements of profound truths. As you use the facets, an abiding sense of well-being and present-moment awareness will permeate your life.
Through parables, moving testimonials, and humor, Isha imparts the essential truths that we have nothing to fear and we are all one. This inviting, accessible book will help you live a life of unconditional love, happiness, fulfillment, and peace.
Great, great book. I usually get turned off when a book talks about "systems", "programs" - but this is a really simple way to keep yourself in your heart and out of your head. In my mediation practice, I still sometimes struggle with all my thoughts - this has helped me let go and live in the moment.
One of her mantra's or "facets" as she calls them is:
A lot of the book was hard to read. Very cliché and wordy. The facets themselves make sense, but the explanations sound like spiritual mumjo-jumbo are off-putting. I like the practice she’s putting forth, but the book was tacky.
Excellent. I have meditated for years and have experienced ashram life in India but the Isha Method is Truth in is perfection. It is for us ALL not just for monks or disciples of Enlightenment. THIS will create New Earth in its reality.
Isha has created what she calls the Isha System. This wonderful system includes a Diamond portal with four facets. Each facet includes an important lesson (embracing the present moment, accepting without judgment, loving oneself, and being one with the universe) as well as an accompanying meditation series and mantra.
The purpose of this program is to open oneself to unconditional love. Using the facets, opening the portal, and practicing other healthy behaviours such as feeling our emotions, speaking our truth, exercising, and drinking plenty of water we open ourselves to a whole new way of thinking. We let go of the worries and what ifs. We stop looking to tomorrow to fulfil all our hopes and dreams. We live each moment of each day with passion and full of love and joy.
Judd has a unique approach to enlightenment. She cuts out the religious aspect and really focuses on love consciousness. It is amazing to think her facets could work, but I'm not above giving it a go. I believe the power lies within the construction of the "facets" to root out emotional layers normally quelled within so many religious endeavors. Instead of detaching from and observing, she allows the humanity of emotions to flow through us. This could be revolutionary. The hour of unifying suggested could be the downfall for Americans- we really love our entertainment time (aka tv).

I've read this book a few times. I always come back to it when I'm undergoing alot of stress or feel like I'm not on my true path. I tell friends about this book all the time. It is so hard for us to accept the perfection of every instant of our lives without always looking for the next best thing. This book brings me comfort and calm.
