The Fall of Western Man

Rate this book
Western man is a shadow of his former his mind enslaved, his body weakened, his spirit corrupted and the courage and bravery he once possessed radically diminished. Western civilisation and all the achievements it encompasses once held the world in awe, yet despite this, the West is in the midst of a moral and social decline. The Fall of Western Man explains the working of the mind and how once the mind is reduced in its capacity to reason and the hardened mental fortitude of a people is broken, those people can be convinced of anything. The enemies of the West have used this knowledge to play a devious and divisive game that has undermined the common values and homogeneity found within Western society. The Fall of Western Man details how the social structures that have shaped generation after generation of Western man have been weakened and removed in order to prevent Western society from holding on to its culture and traditions. This has destroyed strong and cohesive Western communities and reduced them to disparate groups of individuals who are only concerned with hedonism and selfish pursuits. But it is still not too late for redemption. Discover how Western man can fight back against these attacks and go on to rediscover his roots and reclaim his birthright.

Fantastic book for an eye opening view on the western world. Politics and civil unrest is at the forefront of today's issues. Mark Collett (regardless of your opinion on him, we are reviewing his work/book)is obviously an intelligent man who backs up his work with facts, facts that you cannot ignore whilst shining a light on said issues. Very interesting book. If you found this book enlightening as I did, or enjoy well written prose that will not only challenge your way of thinking but have an impact on your thoughts long after reading; i would suggest you visit patrioticalternative.org.uk as I did. It features many articles on a vast array of different subjects by many fantastic and talented writers similar to this particular author .Subjects range from factual news and educational to opinion pieces such as movie reviews and all manner of subjects in between. Packed full of well written and thought provoking reading just like this book.

Great book, the author uses Pathos, Logos, and Ethos to convey highly controversial topics. Though you may, and most likely won't agree with him on all of the topics covered in this book, Collett does a great job, possibly the best job I have ever seen, at providing facts along with his opinions, propositions, and ideals. Collett also utilizes psychology: the Id, Ego, and Superego, along with complementary components, such as Ideal Self and Consciousness, in an attempt to show why we act how we do, and why we should act as humans for the greater good of our community, and in turn, our self. Overall, 5/5 stars.

Oh dear.

I find the Far Right fascinating. (Something about the right-wing fringe excites my liberal soul.) Mark Collett was a leader in the BNP and has formed a fascist group, Patriotic Alternative. His views haven't changed much, and he wrote this book to explain the 'decline of the West'. Alas, it's riddled with errors.

He made the strange choice of using Freud as a framing device. Collett says our minds have three parts - Id, Ego, and Superego - and these must be marshalled. There's just one problem with this breakdown: it's total bollocks. Psychoanalysis is a dead religion, but Mr. Collett doesn't know.

Freud is rarely cited. His results were largely embellished. Because they can't be falsified, they're useless to research. Regardless, Mr. Collett uses him to describe a model society: a hierarchy of citizens, governed by a social conscience, moving towards a common goal. So far, so flimsy.

Human beings, he asserts, should base their society on a beehive. One truth scuppers this idea: apes are not insects. Members of a hive look, think, and act the same, but we are never so uniform. Furthermore, no-one says queens and drones are seeking a 'common goal'. The analogy falls flat.

Despite this, Mr. Collett calls for uniformity. He argues multiculturalism pitches tribes against each other. Where? Society has a common code which (ideally) applies to all. Most coexist happily. Each day of peace is a day of victory - but Mr. Collett claims it's much worse than it is.

Soon, he moves onto feminism. He says it pours scorn on the Family and traditional masculinity. He's right - but doesn't explain why. Defining 'patriarchy' and 'rape culture', he betrays poor scholarship. (One suspects he spends more time on the Web than in a library.)

Eventually, he reveals himself. Having stated the problems, he posits a solution: National Socialism. This compels us to translate what came before. When he says 'Western', he means 'white' - when he says 'enemies', he means 'Jews'. Despite his confession, there's a question of motive.

Mr. Collett never explains why (((enemies of the West))) want it to suffer. (If they live here, they stand to suffer as well.) He complains about immigrants from non-white countries, but many are antisemites. This is how conspiracies crumble: they raise more questions than they answer.

Exposed, Mr. Collett cites a character called 'the Hollywood Nazi' - an archetypal skinhead created by (((enemies))) to make Nazis less appealing. I would argue economic errors, pseudo-science, and death camps did the work, but Mr. Collett wants to give fascism a polish. And fails.

This tract is insubstantial, ill-conceived, and paranoid, posing 'answers' to inflated social issues. G. K. Chesterton wrote that good books tell the truth about their characters, bad books about their authors. Being bad, 'The Fall of Western Man' tells us Mr. Collett needs to read books full-stop.

While I agree that the culture needs rituals and emergence under common goals.. the author takes things little bit to the extreme.. the greatness of the western man was something very debatable.. the redemption is to allow people of the world to live their lives freely without interventions in dictatorship alliance with the west ..

The enemies of the west are not the immigrants .. but rather the skewed system of no belief

I found this book really interesting Mark Collett describes how the "frog has been boiled" over the course of many years and the reasons that western civilization is in the state it's in today.
He talks about the id the ego and the superego and how their breakdown has been detrimental to society.
The book is extremely well written and I found it a lot easier to read and understand than I was expecting for this kind of topic. He clearly and concisely makes his arguments and they are pretty convincing.
The book is a bit of a black pill but it's made me reassess how I'll be living my life a little bit.

This book was eye opening for me and inspired me to be a better version of myself and ignited a stronger sense of pride in my heritage and culture. That is frowned upon for those of European heritage in particular nowadays. I agree with his narrative and how he explains clearly how the western mans body, mind and spirit is and has been under vicious attack in many ways. I also agree that people of European heritage in the west truly face a very dire situation. I enjoyed his analogy of the bees to western civilisation.

Despite what many who are riddled with white guilt will try and convince you, being a nationalist is not about hate but about love - love for one’s country, culture, and people. I have no hate within me toward any group of people. One can be a nationalist which is to love and want to protect their people while also respecting the diversity that makes the world rich and complex.

A very interesting book. Nowhere in the book does he mention who the actual enemy is, but rather what are the tools of the enemy. He emphasises loving your family, friends, community, tradition and nation as something that is very important. Highly recommend the book and to those that think it racist, sexist or anything else mid way should strive to reach the end. Stopping mid way will just prove his point, which is actually funny.

This book is a great source of inspiration for Westernkind and White Wellbeing practitioners. It can be said that there are indeed Black pills within the writings but such is life. There are realistic ideas for us in moving forward with our own kind. I very much appreciate the kind donation given by Mark, I downloaded and read the free copy from his website. . . . Thank you!

Remarkably easy to read. Each chapter is concise and to-the-point without overstaying its welcome.

Essentially, the thesis behind the book is that it views society using the Freudian concept of the three aspects of the psyche; id, ego and super-ego. Western man's id is out of control and the super-ego has been weakened generation-by-generation.

The one thing which sticks with me is the author's consistent use of the allegory of the perfect society resembling a beehive, which maybe a poor choice given how beehives consist of a queen that uses pheromones to effectively mind-control their sterile drones and worker bees, who have no real will or super-ego of their own beyond being an extension of the queen bee's own.

This book is a very good overview, it has a lot of value. The ending is very strong too. The pacing and prose is not great, and repetition makes reading some parts hard to do. He also uses a couple of pseudo-science ideas to defend his points, which ironically makes them weaker than using a standard of absolute morality tied to faith. This aside, there is enough value in it that I would recommend it to most people who are casually ignorant of politics and sociology; but I would hesitate to recommend it to people who are more avid in these subjects.

Nothing more than racist, sexist, and plain sensationalist garbage. The modern era is a period of great things, wonder, and is far better than what racist jerks like Mark Collett think!
Also, he’s never listened to this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pWKU6DR...
PS I dare you Neo-Nazis to come after me! Or are you too cowardly to stand up for your precious snot head Collett?
