As the daughter of the vice president of the United States, Josie Reynolds must adhere to certain rules; very little interaction with the outside world, and definitely no contact with the deadly Bracadytes that live beneath. Until a chance meeting in the halls of the White House brings her face to face with the giant alien known as Braum. He's gorgeous, mysterious and undeniably dangerous. But the forbidden had always been Josie's weakness...

Watching the beautiful Josie from a distance is no longer enough for Braum. Though his head demands he stay away, his heart refuses to listen. Braum's entire world is turned upside down when he leaves with the vice president's daughter, and returns to Aukrabah. Danger, jealousy and desire all war together to create an explosion of passion that threatens to burn them alive. If they survive...

Braum is book 7 in the Enigma series and unfortunately it was just an ok read for me. First I will say that I loved Braum. I actually love all the men in this series. Although their very alpha there is an innocence to them that I just love. As I have said in past reviews of this series the stories are short and they story arc continues in each book. So while I have been ok with everything happening really fast between the couples this time it just didn't work for me. I didn't feel any connection between Braum and Josie. They are hardly together before they were both having feelings of love. I didn't feel it at all. Also its a pet peeve but I get very annoyed when a grown woman like Josie who is 26 years old is controlled by her father and does everything he says. I also find it very annoying when she speaks to others about her father and refers to him as Daddy, hello are you 5. Overall I have been enjoying this series and I do look forward to more.

I have been waiting for this to come out in Audiobook for what seems like ages. I follow Ms. Ditter Kellen on Facebook and when she let us know that this was available I was just over the moon happy.

We met Braum a while ago. He is the only Bracadyte that chose to hang out with the Land walkers. He is trying to make sure that his people and the humans are not starting a war. Unfortunately for him he met Josie, the VP's daughter. He has seen her from afar and he knows there is something about her that he connects with. Josie's whole like has been follow what her father wants from her. As she gets over she starts to rebel. She wants to become a daughter and the only way she can see herself doing that is to go with Braum to Aukrabah.

Throughout this story there is a lot of drama. Not only with Braum and his people but with Josie and hers. Her not so boyfriend is nuts. He is doing things that 'normal' people would be in jail for. Not to mention there is a traitor amongst them.

I loved the narration to this story as well.

I am looking forward to learning more about Rykaur. Tattoos are my weakness and a Bracadyte that is tall, built, with piercing green eyes just screams AMAZING!!!!

Love this book crack series. This is Braum and Josie’s book. Braum is the big and loveable Bracadyte that is staying at the White House and Josie is his crush, the Vice Presidents daughter...que the oh shit music. He had developed a huge crush on Josie, but after he meets her that crush grows and she returns that crush. Since she is the Vice Presidents daughter, she is off limits. She’s a nurse, but her dad will not let her work while the virus is still not quite contained. She goes with Braum back to his home, where she is trying to convince them to let her stay and work with Abbie. She gets kidnapped, saved and goes back to Braum’s home. She is still trying to convince them to let her stay, but since she is who she is, they don’t want to start a war. Her dad comes to get her anyway...he’s a bit of an ass and expects her to marry a real piece of work. Long story short, Braum goes to get his girl and saves her from said “piece of work”...and ends up being a hero to the American public, since it was all caught on video, everyone saw the entire scene. These two are just so sweet together, I adored how they got along and interacted with each other. Very honest and I found it refreshing.

This was a safe read, neither were with others after they were together. No ow drama, om drama, because some people just can’t take no for an answer. Josie was a virgin. When her dad makes her leave, my heart broke for her and Braum, especially sweet Braum. I loved that he swooped in and saved her at a very critical time. When Braum saves her, that scene will have you saying...oh shit and being damn happy about it. Some may have triggers, the same pos guy attempts to rape her, luckily she is saved both times. Some baby batter, an epilogue and an hea.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinions .Braum is a really enjoyable read from start to finish .Braum is the liaise for the Bracadyte people and the humans and has been staying at the White House for awhile . He has seen Josie before though she didn't notice him and has viewed her on tv but they have never spoken. Josie is the vice presidents daughter and has training to be a doctor . There are sparks the moment these two meet and things get really steamy when Josie talks Braum into taking her back to his peoples home with him. A would be suiter who wont take no for an answer and a powerful father who only thinks of his career will cause Braum and Josie nothing but trouble. This was an excellent book to follow the previous stories in this series .I am excited to see what will happen in the next book. The writer has created a whole new paranormal species and trials and tribulations unlike any other paranormal book I have read before .Definitely recommend this series to others .

Just when I think this series couldn't get any better, Ditter Kellen goes and proves me wrong on the best way! She shows me just how much deeper down she dig into her already impressive creativity and bring to life a maddeningly wonderful work if pure art. This story is just pure magic, and I simply loved the devastating incredible characters and the stunningly fascinating plot that kept me enthralled the while time. I was on the end of my seat, and I wanted to savor every second. I love her beautiful and compelling series filled to the brim with mind-blowing heros and heroines who never fail to claim my heart and soul. Now, I can't wait for the next masterpiece!!

B. C. Kinnison is phenomenal with his performance! He never fails to shine with his amazing talent. I could listen to his voice for days and always find some new aspect to his impeccable narration. Each inflection in his voice adds such stunning depth to these stories. What an auditory pleasure!

Braum has been staying at the White House for months now, learning the human ways and being the liaison between the two races. A fiery woman has also been under his scrutiny and before long Braum knows that she is his, the only question will be can both the races survive their love. Major deception and betrayal are witnessed in this story with repercussions for all around.
Josie has lived her whole life under the scrutiny of her father, always having to do the right thing because of the position her has in politics. Josie has had enough and when she is threatened with the real possibility of not being able to see what could become of her relationship with Braum her world explodes.

I have to hold my hands up and admit that I love B C Kinnison's voice. It's the first time I have heard his narration and he fits this story and these characters so very well. He really brought the whole book to life.

This is my first venture into this series and whilst I was aware that I was missing certain information that would have been given in earlier books it didn't ruin the story for me. I thoroughly enjoyed it and these characters and the world seems so very settled that it was quite comforting. I would happily listen to more from these characters and in fact I may have to go seek out the other books!

Braum: Science Fiction Romance (Enigma Series Book Seven) was another great read by Ditter Kellen. Josie is the daughter of the vice president of the United States/ She has many rules that she must follow, which includes little contact with the outside world. Especially with the deadly Bracadytes. She runs into a Bracadyte named Braum in the halls of the White House. She is attracted to him although he is forbidden. She asks for his help even though she knows that she shouldn't. I really enjoyed Josie and Braum's story and can't wait to read more in this series.

This books is a little softer than the others but no less intriguing. Danger still surrounds the Bracadytes and their friendly human counterparts.

The factions are getting desperate and a lot more dangerous while trying to gain control of any possible vaccines created to fight the virus

Secrets will be exposed and careers face potential ruin. Families will be at odds.

So not looking forward to the end of the collection as they have been such good reads.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request, and have voluntarily left this review. Life of the rich and protected isn't everything people thinks it is. Josie has also known this being the Vice President's daughter, never so much as when she meets Braum and travels to his world within the caves. The characters are interesting and well written. This action packed novel is at time intense and will keep you listening long after you should have turned it off.

I found Braum to be the sweetest of the Bracadytes however when he falls for Josie, daughter of the vice president, his sweetness is replaced with a dangerously protective side! Josie is a great character...I love her outgoing spunky side and her willingness to put herself in harms way to do what she feels she must to help save the humans...after all that is what she was trained to do!!

This book didn't catch me the way the others have. I still enjoyed it though. Braum's story felt kind of fluffy to me. It felt thrown together. The series as a whole is still good, the writing impeccable. I will still recommend this series for someone who needs a break from the regular tropes. Liked the story, but didn't LOVE this one.

Braum, Braum, Braum. (The ladies man), yet not a player :)

Braum has been visiting the Whitehouse to assist Abbie (Enigma Series Book 1) in finding the cure for the deadly virus and in maintaining good relations between the President and the Bracadytes. Josie is the Vice-President's Daughter. Totally off-limits to Braum but tell his heart that.

Josie went to school to be a Doctor, it's all she's ever wanted (until she sees Braum) but her father, fearful that she'll contract the Deadly Virus, has forbidden her to work and kept her on a tight leash at the Whitehouse. When Braum decided it is time for him to return to his People, in Aukrabah, Josie begs to go with him to escape her father's control and to help those sick from the Virus.

Braum fights his feelings for Josie, knowing that his affection will only bring her danger and a life with them together isn't possible. Josie is kidnapped from Aukrabah by the son of a political ally of Josie's father who is determined to make her his wife by any means necessary. Even Force.

Will Braum and Josie get their happily ever after? I've fallen in love with every single one of these Bracadytes. You will to. I'm waiting on pins and needles for book 8.

OH HOLY HELL! How? Seriously, how does she do it? I am just absolutely floored that each book in this series is exponentially better than the last one! I have been a die hard fan of The Enigma series since day one and I can say without a doubt that Braum has blown the others out of the water! And that is saying a lot because I have adored every single book so far. Even though this may be book seven, the series shows no signs of slowing down. The Incola virus has mutated, people are dying by the minute and the evil ex-president is still on the loose. This book is a little different than the others in that there is not a lot of bang, boom explosion action in the first half but it more than makes up for it in the angst and feels department. The build up to the second half is what makes the action when it does come, and man does it come, ten times more intense because you are so invested in what happens between Braum and Josie. I basically spent the second half of the book gasping out loud one minute and then teary-eyed the next while yelling out things like "WHOA" "WOW" "HOLY CRAP" "NO WAY" and "OH MY GOD".

I really need the whole world to read this series so that everyone can fall in love with it as much as I have. I also need this series to be made into many, MANY movies. Not a TV series, but movies because I need the full 2 plus hours per book devoted to all the smexy action that Ditter has brought to life in this amazing series of hers. So scifi lovers, pnr lovers, action lovers, angst lovers and uber hot hero lovers unite and do yourself a favor by diving into The Enigma series.

Tall , dark n deadly .. A romance that will leave you starry eyed.

Braum was another great instalment from Ditter. She delivers her men hard, tall, dark n deadly but with that inner softness that sends us girls warm and fuzzy .

She delivers the women with grunt , sass and strength this I enjoy in her reads, they aren't some whiny , whingey , sulking brats. But woman with character, substance and depth. The men who possess them with equal qualities - as in strong characters.

But like a tim ram hard on the outside gooey inside lol

With a solid plot and well delivered characters , Ditter pens a story of romance, suspense, and on the edge of your seat moments and even some lovin among the pages ."" Sexy "" enough to keep your loins tingling and eyes racing across the pages :)

I read this book in one sitting. Once I started I was glued right till the very end .

Ditter writes fluent strong storylines, with crisp details , giving the reader vivid imagery along the way .

Both physical and mentally she gets inside the characters minds and gives us depth n definition into her characters .. this as u reader I find amazing !!

Loved Braum , look forward to more stories in this series .

I received this free from the author and voluntarily offer this review. This was my introduction to this series. Apparently there is an "alien" race, the Bracadytes, that lives beneath the Earth's surface and a mining company penetrated the boundary between us and them. In so doing, a contagion has been released that is killing the humans.
There exists animosity against the Bracadytes for lives lost, but, some humans, among them a doctor, have gone to Aukrabah, the Bracadytes' home, to help find a cure. As such, some humans have found love amongst the Bracadytes and have married and stayed with them.
Braum, has been staying at the Whitehouse as an ambassador and has seen the Vice President's daughter Josie Reynolds on television, it finds her very attractive. Upon meeting her in person, his attraction increases. Josie, a medical student, has been forbidden by her father from practicing her nursing profession or continuing her studies to become a doctor, due to the contagion. Braum feeling guilty for his life of leisure at the at the Whitehouse has decided to return home, Josie upon hearing this, asks to join him in the hope that the human doctor in Aukrabah can inoculate her so that she may once again practice medicine and help find the cure.
This is Braum's and Josie's story and whether they can succeed against the odds.

There are alot of ups and downs in this book, it deals with domestic abuse, attempted rape, and parental mental abuse, its not all bad though, believe me, this one is the best of the lot, Braun totally does it for me, he knows what he wants and he goes out and gets it, my kind of man, these books just keep going from strength to strength, The Enigma series could in theory go on for a long time, at least I hope so,

Another great book.

Loved the twists and turns, loved that the humans are despicable while the simpler Bracadytes uphold much better values.
Love this series.
