A mediocre introduction to yoga as physical exercise to men who feel embarrassed to try it. Or maybe I thought it was lackluster because I’m not the target audience.
I found this so interesting and useful that I read it all in a single day. As someone that’s new to yoga, and intimidated by the idea of going to classes full of people (mostly women) far better than I - I found this to be a really good introduction, explaining all the whats, whys, hows, and whens in plain English.
A few of the other books I’ve read on the subject jump right into routines, whereas what I wanted was something which explained why I’d do particular routines, and how to get the most out of them, and on that front, this book delivered.
