This is not a full length novel: 6k word count. This is a bonus scene from Blaire Dark Romance part 1 in Charlie’s point of View. To truly enjoy this bonus scene, I recommend you read Blaire part 1 first.
Excerpt from the bonus scene--
"She’s as ominous as hell. I can feel how much blood she’s got on her hands. Why haven’t I shot her already?"
Anita Gray, an English born and bred lady? who loves coffee and bottled beer (not at the same time, obviously) is an International Top 20 Amazon Best Selling Author, Audible Listener Favourite, and TaleFlick Discovery Nominee. Her titles are available as audiobooks and are currently being translated in numerous languages.
After finishing 'Blaire', I was left wanting. Blaire and Charlie had fought so hard to get to where they were, but I felt like I didn't get enough of their HEA to feel content. Although I'll still have to wait a while for the sequel to be released, I did stumble across 'There's Something About Blaire', which proved to be a tasty little "extra".
'There's Something About Blaire' is a retelling of the first chapter of 'Blaire', from Charlie's POV. This super-short "extra" provides insight into Charlie's thoughts and feelings as he plots his revenge against Maksim. It was kind of surprising to be in his head as he was first introduced to Blaire, honestly.
Although this was an incredibly quick read, it did shine a great deal of light on Charlie's motivations. Even knowing what his original intentions were, having completed 'Blaire', I was a little taken aback by how cold and calculating Charlie came across. After all, he portrayed the polar opposite of that man in 'Blaire'.
If you've read 'Blaire' and are dying for a little bit more to hold you over until the sequel is released, then 'There's Something About Blaire' is a nice "extra". Don't expect a full story or book though, this is just a retelling of a single chapter. It is great bonus material, but not a story in and of itself.
I did not give this a star rating because in my opinion it is not actually a, "book". THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT BLAIRE is actually just an early scene from the first book told from a different character's perspective (told from Charlie's point of view). While this scene was entertaining, the scene is extremely brief and I did not obtain the answers to questions I had hoped to find here. For me, this bonus scene was enjoyable yet simultaneously a tease; now that I've read some of Charlie's perspective, I want more!
Charlie's bonus scene by Anita Gray. Five magnificent stars. Anita Gray leaves you wanting more of Charlie. This is Charlie's POV on meeting Blaire for the first time. At first you feel Blaire has to watch her back with Charlie as he his out for vengeance. He was double crossed by Maskim Blaire's boss. He's looking for blood and the only way is to kill Blaire. But boy doors he get a shock when he firsts meets her. Young beautiful and fancies her like hell. Charlie has decided he will not spill her blood but will have to get closer to Blaire. Getting into Charlie's head was an insight to how he feels about Maskim and Blaire. How anyone can rate this two stars is beyoind me without reading it first.
What was Charlie thinking when he first meets Blaire? What makes him go after her? This amazing little bonus scene shifts his character from the shadows to full on pitch black. If you liked Blaire, this is a must read.
Anita Gray has given us a little wee bit of a bonus while we're waiting (VERY impatiently, I must say!) for Blaire Part 2 and OhEmGee, I want more...a LOT more of Charlie's POV!!
You MUST read Blaire Part 1 in order to get what's going on in this scene...and you MUST read Blaire Part 1, period!
I fell in love with Charlie while reading Blaire and I fell MORE in love with him reading this bonus! All I can say is... #CharlieIsMINE!!!
Anita, you need to hurry up and get the second part done, ASAP!
Oh, Charlie! If you read Blaire Dark Romance, this is a tasty little must read. I know I for sure wanted to know what was going through Charlie's mind when he first met Blaire. Actually, I want to know EVERYTHING about Charlie. This extra scene is an awesome little insight into Charlie's thoughts.
"Her deep blue eyes dazzle in something hypnotic, though her softened expression does nothing for her intensity. One single look and this girl could tear out someone’s soul."
Is this what draws Charlie to her? Pushes him away? You will have to read (in this order) Blaire Dark Romance and There's Something About Blaire to find out.
Thank you, Anita Gray, for Charlie. I can't wait for more.
The long awaited bonus scene of dark romance “Blaire” is definitely was worth to wait. Charlie’s POV is priceless. The part of the story that Anita Gray kept in the dark in the first book is slowly reveals in front of our eyes, putting missing details one by one in the puzzle. I loved the twist and how different point of view can turn the story around dramatically. Anita, we need MORE!
I received an ARC of this, I loved this bonus scene. What a lovely twist on Charlie's character and his initial plot. I thoroughly enjoyed reading his side of things and would 100% recommend reading this if you have read Blaire Part 1!
Sooo this book was so good and I hope Anita gray can be bribed to do a full length Charlie pov because I needed more. I loved him in Blaire and even more so in this book. Please please please give us more.
This is a short bonus scene from Charlie’s POV and just like Blaire (Part 1), I absolutely LOVED it. The book is very short and I flew right through it but I do like how we learn something new that we didn’t learn in the first book. Charlie’s initial plan was not to “borrow” her from Maksim but something far more sinister. Thankfully after meeting Blaire, he decides to drop that plan because he is curious and amused by not only Blaire’s looks but her behavior as well. The book ends right before Blaire gives him a ride and in Blaire (Part 1) we get her side as to what happens in the car ride.
I cannot wait for Blai2e (Part 2) because Anita Gray is new favorite author of mine and her work is just brilliant! If you haven’t read Blaire (Part 1) I suggest doing so. And if you’re worried about having to wait for the second book, don’t. Blai2e (Part 2) comes out at the end of September!!!!
I received a copy of this ARC voluntarily for a honest review. Charlie, Charlie, Charlie. The fictional love of my life. I'm not even joking ladies he is mine. This novella was amazing, and leaves me wanting more. I want more from Charlie's point of view and I want more Blaire. I don't even know what else to say other than if you haven't read Blaire and then snatched this one up too, you need to immediately. And I need more Charlie in my life. How about a whole book from his point of view Anita? I know I'm needy but you will be too when you finally meet Blaire and Charlie.
I can't believe Ms Gray was able to capture Charlie's motives so well in one chapter. He of course had a well developed personality in Blair. I love how he went from wanting to kill her to being intrigued to the point of obsession in 26 pages. It's pretty much how I came to love Blair just on a much smaller scale. Come on, Anita. Bring on book two!!
I, not sure what I expect do but it wasn’t this. The fastest read I’ve ever had for starters, though I did enjoy the Charlie POV to some extent. I think I would have liked it better if it was different scene or maybe a little something extra. I Loved the first book but this novella just didn’t do the book justice
I like this companion piece since I get to see Charlie's POV in all this...so it is so true that Charlie wanted to destroy Maksim at the end of the book...he did end up getting what he wanted - to have Blaire choose between him and Maksim. It's great since it totally changed on how he first wanted to execute his plan of revenge.
Oh my! After reading Blaire Part 1, this book gave me an amazing insight into Charlie's motives. It was not enough though! I need the whole book Anita! I would love to have the whole story from Charlie's POV - how lovely it would be to see him fall in love with her intimately.
I still refuse to accept that his name is Charlie. The hot version in my head is toooooo smokin for “Charlie” BUT the writer sucked me in with her words. God I just keep needing more... it’s like a drug.
This is short & sweet from Charlie’s POV. It really adds to the story, but you must read the first book before you read this. Get ready to hang on because this series throws you for loop after loop!
I bought this and quickly read it after all it’s one chapter , it’s Charlie’s initial thoughts on meeting Blaire’s and his original intentions to use her as revenge towards Maksim. Was it worth it to read , it does add another layer to the story so I would say yes .
This series is probably one of the best series I've read in a while. It is a captivating book series. I don't give much away, but rately give reviews unless I love it. Recommend series, not for the weak minded.
Jednak trudno to nazwać książką.
Oh Anita, you always leave me wanting more! Great little read to better understand Charlie and his initial thoughts on Blaire. Would love to read more from Charlie's side of the story :)
Super short book written from the hero’s POV. It only shows their first meeting scene and nothing else. Purchased on Amazon for $2 and I thought it was a waste of money (rip off), you won’t miss anything if you skip this.
So very, very short considering I had robots for it and the other Blaire books were free with my kindle unlimited. Would of been good to have a bit more of Charlie's POV on a few more chapters.
