"Wow! A truly dark and gripping read." "Mesmerising and captivating." –5* Amazon reviews. "This is definitely not your typical romantic love story. It's dark and will leave you desperate for more!" –5* Goodreads review. She was 19 years old and a street girl. Streetwise, or so she thought…until she was taken and now she knows what true pain is. What she doesn’t know is why she craves it and, in the end, if it will destroy her. Each chosen one was selected for a purpose and taken to his compound where he may use them at his will but the most precious jewel of all is Betty who Thane shall call Freya. This one is special. This one he must try not to crush. Janey Rosen, author of the No.1 bestselling Sebastian Trilogy, brings fans of dark erotica a suspenseful and twisted tale which packs a powerful punch. Boundaries have been pushed, socially accepted lines have been crossed. This book is intended strictly for readers over the age of 18 due to adult content and challenging themes. (Based on the original Musekeeper Series by Janey Rosen. Contains triggers and sensitive material. 18+ readership only)

I started reading this after attending the signing event in Newcastle and chatting with Janey. This story is very dark and touches on some serious issues. Not for the faint hearted. I felt the last 25% of the story could have possibly been developed further. However as is ALWAYS the case how does an author decide where the story needs to end. A good read with a touch of the mythical, maniacal and the erotic.

I bought this book after going to a book signing in Newcastle and speaking the Janey. I really enjoyed this book. This book is very dark which does have triggers so just be warned. Man or beast?? or could he be both?? A gripping tale that will draw you in to a dark world, a man who needs to save the people who have lost their way and a young woman who is very sassy.

Welcome to the dark side

A dark tale of twisted main character Thane and his Freya. Thane will make you either hate him or feel sorry for him. Might not be to everyone's taste but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Contains triggers so be careful. Janey is one of my favourite authors and she writes dark very well.

DNF: I can see where this would be a story i loved, but there was sharing of the love interest, and i would have never bought the book if I would have known.
