A magic/fantasy series is only as good as the characters are and the rules the govern the magic are. Thankfully we got plenty of both in this book. Lots of action too. It was a fun read.

If you want to learn about the efficacy of competing magic spells, this manga is for you. I found it to be rather boring. I never did see the word Akashic anywhere but in the title.

I really like Glenn. He cracks me up with his switch between fool and serious MC! Plus, his constant bickering with Sistine is adorable!
