Invincible #18 – Perfect Strangers
A new character — Angstrom Levy — is introduced. He’s an intelligent villain obsessed with accessing alternate realities. This issue is the start of one of the series’ best subplots. Levy seems harmless, even noble at first. But we know better. Meanwhile, Mark’s life grows increasingly crowded and complicated.

“Issue #18” starts with William, Eve and Amber talking at a fast food restaurant. Amber is convinced that Mark’s odd behavior lately means he’s dealing drugs. Mark shows up for a second, but his pager goes off and he leaves again.

Cecil sends him on a two-week mission to Mars with the astronauts, but to lay low so the astronauts don’t know he’s there unless there’s an emergency.

Meanwhile Angstrom Levy explains that he has been gathering other versions of himself from other dimensions. None of them can cross dimensions like he can, but he can’t cross accurately without their knowledge of other dimensions. So he needs the Maulers help in siphoning their brains. Like you do.

Titan reports to Machine Head and Isotope. They noticed him working with Invincible during the alien invasion and aren’t happy about it.

On Mars, the astronauts are greeted by a martian riding a… riding beast. He trances them all and leads them underground. Invincible investigates and is soon also captured.

The King of the martians tells Invincible that the astronauts are to be executed.

That was really good. And it looks like we might be getting some Starro action….

This was another storyline that was adapted for Prime Video. So Mark gets to follow a group of astronauts to Mars and of course, things go horribly wrong and things are getting interesting.

I have always loved comics, and I hope that I will always love them. Even though I grew up reading local Indian comics like Raj Comics or Diamond Comics or even Manoj Comics, now's the time to catch up on the international and classic comics and Graphic novels. I am on my quest to read as many comics as I can. I Love comics to the bits, may the comics never leave my side. I loved reading this and love reading more, you should also read what you love and then just Keep on Reading.

This is the issue has the story from season 1 of the show where Mark goes to mars! Nicely done. I like how they point out that aliens speak english.

Amber thinking Mark is a drug dealer kinda foolish, but you can see why. He's using a beeper. Who uses beepers? Drug dealers.

The professor storyline seems to be progressing nicely. We finally get to see what he is trying to do. He is unique in being the only version of him with the ability to dimension hop and wants the knowledge inside the minds of other hims.

The crime boss storyline is weaved into this issue too. That story seems like it could turn into something good.

3.5/5 stars I liked it.

4 estrellas.
