The one girl in the world I could never get? Now she’s mine.
Sort of.
Sure, we live 2,746 miles apart and I see her once a month. She runs a company and I’m surrounded by guys whose idea of achievement is showing up sober for class. I have zero job prospects in New York, and she has no intention of coming back to California.
But when we’re together, none of that matters. I can make her laugh and smile and moan that breathy ‘OhmyGodDylan’ that’s a million times hotter when I'm touching her than it is over the phone.
Which is why I’m going to fix it. This time I’m making her mine for good. No excuses, no escapes, no take backs.
She should’ve been my first. I'm going to be her last.
Sealed is a 2 POV 25k novella and book 2.5 in the Travesty series. The reading order is Schooled, Stripped, Sealed, Styled!
Piper Lawson is a Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author of smart, steamy romance! She writes about women who follow their dreams (even the scary ones), best friends who know your dirty secrets (and love you anyway), and complex heroes you’ll fall hard for (especially after talking with them). Brains or brawn? She’ll never make you choose. Piper lives in Canada with her tall, dark and brilliant husband. She believes peanut butter is a protein, rose gold is a neutral, and love is ALWAYS the answer.

5 Love myself a nice/sexy guy stars
Okay, so, confession time: I haven't read the previous books (Shame on me!). Anyway, I didn't feel like I missed anything because from the very beginning we're explained what the characters' current situation is. Sure, knowing their back story would have been better maybe, but that's on me and on my huge TBR. What I'm saying is that this novella completely stands on its own, and that it made me want to read the first installments too, because now I really want to get to know Dylan and Lex better.
The plot and the characters were both incredibly done. One too many times I've come across novellas that, due to lack of page-space, either lacked heat, funny moments, or a real plot. Instead, Sealed checked all the boxes. The steamy scenes were perfectly encased in the narration, not just thrown there to add to the hotness level. I especially enjoyed a certain moment involving a very distracting Dylan while Lex is on the phone...
I guess the character that surprised me most was Dylan. I mean, he's younger than Lex (not in a creepy or weird way, but that few years that make it possible for him to be still in college while she's opened a business), and yet he's so mature and caring. Seeing him so determined to make Lex his once and for all was endearing and utterly funny, because let's just say that things didn't go smoothly. Still, Dylan kept putting his relationship with Lex before anything else.
It. Melted. Me. I was a puddle of gooey feelings on the floor.
I’m a sucker for nice guys that would do just about anything for the girl they love. And Dylan did exactly that.
A character that had me rolling with laughter instead was Nate, both because of his cat (you'll understand), and for his salesman abilities. And now I want to read his story, too!
I would totally recommend Sealed because it has everything you might want in a novella. Fun, sweet moments, a swoony hero and a plot that isn't simply made of juxtaposed moments. It read like a miniature book, and that's what I'm looking for when I read a novella.

It’s now the fourth book I’ve read by Piper Lawson and the third of her Travesty series. For fans of the series Sealed is about Dylan and Lex trying to make their long distance relationship work. He is studying in California and she’s working her butt of in New York growing their fashion business with Ava and Jordan.
Well let me tell you being miles apart s@cks. They’re trying to follow a schedule to see each other once a month but it’s still frustrating! Dylan is still madly in love with Lex and he wants to build his future with her. You’ll even get a very cute moment when he’ll recall what he felt for her when he was a kid. Now he’s in New York for some days to chase future employers and he’s some great plans he wants to follow in this short span of days. Only… all will conspire against Dylan and his day will completely unravel. I read this and thought about some movie where the hero has a big plan just to see everything go to Hell as problems are piling up (think about Very Bad Trip if you want).
What worked really well for me: the humor and banter. That humor is Piper’s trademark and it gives something fresh, light and funny. Just to give you some idea: Dylan has just arrived surprising Lex and they’re kissing passionately in Ava and Jordan’s presence “Jordan rose from the couch, brushing herself off and crossing to the door. “Where are you going?” Lex asked. “To buy a pregnancy test. Watching that might’ve made me conceive.” I liked reading about their “After” and how Travesty was growing thanks to that wonderful girls team. Nate will also sweat some in this story as he did some blunders and he’ll have to grovel (some) to be forgiven.
If I was laughing and smiling thanks to Piper’s quick-wit I would have loved to feel overcome by emotions at some key moments in the story. Feelings were certainly presents but there just was this little thing missing to amp up the emotions and make me give it 5 stars.
Would I recommend this book? That’s a resounding yes if you like light and fresh stories without too much angst about young adults trying to make everything work!

Well. Crap. Now I’m going to have to find an extra short book so this one doesn’t appear as a big picture on my end of the year book review that Goodreads does in the, “shortest book,” section. I don’t hide that I sometimes read these but I also don’t need it all in bold. 😂😂😂
I loved Dylan and Lex's story! I'm so glad to have been invited to their love story and what a story it was! Filled with the most romantic, heartfelt love I've ever known. Characters that jump into real life with you.
I recommend this series to anyone that loves a good romance, cause you will definitely find it here!
Full disclosure: I am not often a fan of novellas. I find them sort of cloying most of the time. Like, you have this book with characters you love and that the author spent all this time developing and presumably everything gets tied up at the end of the book or at least the end of the series, right? So, why do you need to go back and give them a Christmas special? So that you can revisit their happily-ever-after with some lukewarm sex and fabricated angst? No thanks.
Well, Piper Lawson might have just changed my mind because I LOVED "Sealed". I really enjoyed Dylan and Lex's story in "Schooled" and it definitely felt "complete" but the author left the future open ended enough for them that I didn't mind a revisit. Not at all. Especially when she managed to balance it all so effectively. The characters have definitely evolved, but they still feel authentic and true to the original. Also, the story feels fresh. It's not more of the same issues from the original. The angst isn't fabricated- the issues they experience are real and valid and not easily solved. But, "Sealed" also doesn't undo the happy ending established in "Schooled", which I appreciated.
Another thing I appreciated: Dylan is somehow even hotter. Don't get me wrong, I love a bad boy, but gosh it's nice to have the main male character be an actual grown up. Not a controlling alpha male or someone that's only nice to the heroine, but a responsible, respectful, worthy guy who knows what he wants and is also maybe a dirty talker in bed? Or the kitchen? THANK YOU.
I don't want to spoil this for anyone, so I'm going to leave it at that. But, this was a quick, fun read that also didn't feel like a waste of fluff. Not easily accomplished. My only real complaint? I want more. Now.

Lex & Dylan are one of my favourite couples of all time, I love them so so much! This novella was such an amazing ending for them & I’m so happy. There was small, unique plots that just made up the entire story & I’m obsessed. Thank you Piper for making me fall in love with them all over again!

Eek! Piper has decided to give us another up close and personal glimpse into Dylan and Alexis' world. This was the first couple that Piper had her readers tumbling head over heels for in the Travesty series. Dylan and Lex are my absolute favorite couple that Piper Lawson has created and I was ecstatic to walk in their shoes once again. Piper brings us to New York along with Dylan to visit Alexis for some fashion, fun, and oh so hot times. If you haven't met Dylan and Alexis yet, now is your chance to jump in to their world and get down and dirty with this couple who may be separated by miles but not by heart.
Dylan Cameron may have started out as just the little brother to Alexis' best friend Ava, but now it has been two years and Alexis couldn't imagine her life without him. If only the distance didn't separate them with him still in college and her in New York working in fashion. Can monthly visits really be enough? I adore this practical heroine who can't help but succumb to Dylan's charms each and every time. What can I say, she is a smart girl after my own heart.
Dylan sees his future after college living with Alexis Caine, but when her future is working behind the runway in New York and he is offered a job back home in California a choice must be made. Dylan is over the top scrumptious and intense! He is all smoldering gazes, gorgeous rugby honed body, and a complete one woman man...what could be hotter than that?
Piper Lawson delivers another book in the Travesty series that has our temperatures spiking and our hearts cheering for Dylan and Alexis. I highly recommend Sealed, along with Schooled of course for a couple that ratchets up the desire and keeps it red hot until the very end. Piper paints a colorful picture of budding desires, pent up emotions, and young love. I am already anxiously awaiting the next book in this series and seeing another Cameron take the plunge into love and scorching hot passion.
Sealed Travisty book 2.5 Piper Lawson 4 I WANT MORE stars

Truly amazing... That’s my 1st thought. This book is a follow on from book 1 in the Travesty series, but prequel to book 3, due out soon. Lex was taken by her best friend’s brother Dylan, but him being younger than her and Ava’s brother made him off limits. But feelings whether they liked it or not wanted them to be together, and now in Sealed they get it, but like everything in real life it’s never going to be easy.
Now as Travesty is taking off and Ava, Jordan and Lex are busier than ever, Dylan showing up out of the blue, is a dream come true... but as business booms and opportunities arise, life for these two lovebirds is about to come crashing down. On a search for a job close to his woman Dylan, has everything planned. He is going to marry Lex, the girl whom stole his heart as a 9yr old, and again 2yrs earlier at her birthday party. But a run of bad luck for him and great luck for Lex, has them being pulled apart again. The brutal separation for years and monthly visits have been hard enough, now with more distance between them, big decisions must be made. Ones that may make or break this sweet couple.
Being a quick read, I couldn’t put it down so finished it within a couple of hours. The beginning was great, the middle had me hooked, and the ending – perfect. I have loved the stories of Ava, Lex, Nate and Dylan. No surprises, I’ll be hanging for the newest story in this series.
*I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinion stated are solely my own and no one else's*
I love Piper's books and this one was no exception.
I adored Dylan; he's mature, down to earth and not to mention yummy. Lex took his breath away and with one kiss so he's never letting go.
Lex was a little difficult to read because she was quite reserved. Dylan was very expressive of his feelings towards Lex: emotionally and physically. In my opinion, Lex held back too much, to the point, I actually started thinking whether she did want to be with him. She definitely got her act together in the end because her feelings finally reached the surface.
I couldn't stop laughing when Nate lost the ring and they thought the cat ingested it lol. Im surprised the poor cat survived Dylan's killer glares lol. Nate made me laugh; he hides in his office from his assistant because,
"I think she counts my balls through multiple pants every morning" lol Poor Nate!
Sealed was funny, entertaining, sexy yet steamy hot and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This didn't really work for me. I hadn't read any of the preceding books and I felt thrown into a world and a situation where I wasn't invested in the characters. Despite other people's comments otherwise, I think this is really only for those that know the characters and their back history.
Lex and Dylan are trying to make a long distance relationship work and Dylan wants to make a bigger commitment, but events conspire against him.

This book was equally as fun as the first two books in this series but it felt definitely a more mature one. You can read my review of book 1- Schooled, here and book 2- Stripped, here.
Sealed continues with the journey of Lex and Dylan after Schooled though we did get a glimpse of them in Stripped. Lex and Dylan fell head over heels in love with each other but they had been continuing their long distance relationship for two years now. Both have a different plan for their future, can their relationship survive the ultimate challenge or will it die out before any of them realize?
I loved this book so much! It made me remember how much I loved Lex and Dylan! Schooled has been one of the books which introduced me to NA and I have never looked back! And getting back to those characters were amazing. In Schooled, Dylan and Lex finally confessed their feelings for one another but this book showed the challenges, ups, and downs which every relationship has to go through which was really a refreshing change and I loved it.
I adored Dylan soo much! This guy is literally so swoon-worthy and amazing and gorgeous... you get it! I loved their relationship their chemistry was sizzling as ever. Both of the characters have matured and I enjoyed how everything panned out in this book. Ava and Jordan were fun to read about as well.
Overall, Sealed was an amazing read! I enjoyed the plot and the characters were amazing. I loved the romance between Dylan and Lex. The writing was beautiful and easy to read and the pace was even throughout the book. I sooo can't wait for the next book in this series!
I want an invite to the wedding! I have no idea what comes next in the series beyond Jordan's story however, that's what I'm wishing for next. Piper sent me a link for these stories and I'm so glad she did (thank you Piper!). She delivers a short, yet, sweet and humerus short story based on Dylan and Lex. There relationship is going as best it can for two people who live on opposite sides of the United States. Dylan is almost out of school and looking for work in New York. Lex is trying to get an internship so she can help Travesty go global. The ups, downs, and turnarounds of long distance relationship are explored. Being in a long distance relationship the last year and half, I can tell you every single thing these two went through is the real deal. I almost think I loved 2.5 better than 1. However, if nothing else, it most certainly complimented it well. I loved having all the characters from 1 and 2 in the story. I can't wait to see what happens next!
This is a perfect little story in between the series. It's cute and I like the fact we also get the point of view of Dylan.
I need to confess, after reading the second book in the Travesty series, Dylan isn't as hot anymore. I mean, Nate has set the bar so very high. Sorry Dylan!
My favorite part in the book includes the cat named Suit. If you want to know why I highly recommend to start reading this series because the more you read about these people, the more you begin to love them.
I don’t know what to say except I love this story, I love Dylan and Lex, and how they preserve through it all. I wish there was more about them. My husband is younger than me and we went through a lot to be together too. The book just struck home with me, as did Schooled. Thank you Piper for bringing their world to us.
Sealed is book 2.5 in The Travesty Series by Piper Lawson. This is Dylan and Alexis story, trying to make their long distance relationship work. I recommend this book, loved the characters, the humor, the banter between the Ava, Lex and Jordan plus all the fashion and romance. I truly recommend this series to anyone that loves a good romance, cause you will laugh, cry and get angry, but the end is AWESOME!!!!
This book didn’t wow me quite like the other 2-books in the Travesty storyline. However, I loved how it proved a follow-up or a continued direction for Dylan and Lex’s storyline.
I love that Piper Lawson gave us a little more Dylan and Lex in this novella. Two of my favorite parts though were Nate freaking out when trying to help Dylan and Nate trying to help sell things at Travesty!
Although this book is shorter it is definitely what you need to catch up with Dylan and Lex ! I can't wait to start the next book and read more about these fabulous characters ! <3
Sigh! More time with Dylan and Lex. It was fabulous when these two finally realized they loved each other. Now, as Travesty’s business grows and Dylan is almost done with college, will this couple weather the challenges that life throws them. I’ve loved this cast of characters from the first page in Schooled. Loved getting to continue their journey.
This novella is the continuing story about Lex and Dylan (whose story we read in ‘Schooled’, book one of this series). If there was one thing that I missed in ‘Schooled’ it was an epilogue. Some stories really need an epilogue and ‘Schooled’ was one of them. So you can image my surprise and excitement when I read that Piper Lawson would give us a novella with the continuing story of Lex and Dylan. This is so much better than an epilogue.
Lex and Dylan fell in love when they were both attending college in San Diego but Dylan is two years younger than Lex so that means that Dylan still has to attend college when Lex is free to follow her dreams to build a fashion label in New York. They decided to have a long distance relationship and planned to meet each other once a month. Their love is strong but having a long distance relationship is very hard and you miss the little things by living so far away from each other. (Little things like waking up next to each other and coming home to each other.) And the fact that they both are very busy with their work and studies make things extra hard on their relationship.
But now Dylan is in New York and he has a plan, but unknown to him Lex has a plan too but a very different kind of plan, a plan that could be the end of their relationship. At the end of Dylan’s stay in New York they will have to answer the question, is their love really worth all the sacrifices they are doing for each other.
Let me start by saying that this story was more than I expected! I thought that I would get to read a nice and fun story of Lex and Dylan and I was totally right about the fun part but I didn’t know about the emotional part. The part where I thought ‘Please, no! Don’t let them break up with each other’. This novella was everything and more that I could ask for. It may be a novella but for me it really felt like that we got a whole story. Unlike the first book, this story is told from both POV’s what I really enjoyed. There were some scenes that make me laugh out loud and there were also a few surprises in there.
I’m very happy that Piper Lawson gave us this story about Lex and Dylan. It was just what this wonderful couple needed (or maybe what I needed ;o) ).
