By: Kimberly Rose Johnson
Designing Love is Book three in Sunriver Dreams series by Kimberly Rose Johnson. Designing Love is a wonderful addition to Sunriver Dream and I really enjoyed it. Designing Love is one of those book that when you get started you do not want to put it down, and you are trying to read faster to see what will happen next. Ms Johnson weaves a wonderful heartwarming , clean romance , with mystery that will keep you guessing till the end. Sierra is an interior design assistance and wants a job of her own. Her and her son, Trey, who is fifteen years old ,whom dad left them when he was only one moves to Sunriver, Oregon . She has two men who seem to like her, but she is off dating. There is mystery to be solved at Belafonte Designs in Sunriver, Oregon and things do not look good.

I’ve actually read this twice because I enjoyed it so much! The first time through I wasn’t prepared for the little twist at the end. After reading this, I quickly read the other 2 books in the series because I just had to learn more about these characters. Some of the themes of this book are false first impressions, forgiveness, & learning to trust. I’d loved that Spencer wouldn’t use his ignorance or newfound faith as a device to get Sierra to love him. Designing Love is a quick, enjoyable, & well written mystery with light suspense that was impossible to put down until I finished it. I beta read this and this is my own free. honest opinion of this book.

Designing Love #3 Sunriver Dreams series***** by Kimberly Rose Johnson

Interior design assistant Seirra Robbins and her 15 year-old son, Trey, move to Sunriver, Oregon for a golden opportunity—however, it may turn out to be anything but when a gun waving police officer shows up.

Police officer Spencer Preston has always lived for his job, but suddenly everything changes when he responds to a silent alarm at a residential home. Who are these strangers and why are they in this home?

I enjoyed the interactions/sparks between Seirra and Spencer. Trey is your typical teenager and his attitude reflects that at times. I like the relationship between Seirra and Trey—not always smooth but loving. I enjoy the quiet, friendly, close-knit community...well, usually it is until recently. Strange things are happening to orders and job sites. It seems it all started after Seirra started assisting at Belafonte Designs, is she responsible? If so, why? Or is she being set-up? But who would want to set her up and to what purpose?—I had an idea who really was behind it, then the clues pointed in another direction. This adds mystery, danger and twists the plot in surprising directions. Does Spencer believe she is guilty? Guilty or not, he must uphold the law. I appreciate the faith element woven within the storyline showing God's provision, hope and love in all parts of our lives. A heartwarming story.

~I received an ARC e-book copy from the author, (no monetary gain were exchanged), this is my honest review~

Sunriver appears to be a place where people really care and are willing to watch out for others. However, as Sierra soon learns, even that which seems almost ideal can often be the result of failing to look below the surface or to know all the facts. A closer look at the ideal house, job, living situation, or whatever it may be often discloses flaws. In Sierra’s case, one of her major concerns is to provide for her son Trey. After being abandoned by Trey’s father when Trey was only one year old, Sierra has some definite issues with men. Suddenly it seems there are two men showing interest in her. One of them made a very bad impression on Trey the first time they met so that could be a situation to avoid. She works as a designer for a family-owned company that designs and builds homes. Life starts to look rosier to her but then the roses start to wilt. Everything seems to be spinning out of control. Her Christian faith is sorely tested. Will it get her through all that she is facing? I enjoyed the way the author develops the characters and the role the son plays in the story. The story has a good amount of suspense and some romance. The growing faith of one of the lead characters was great to watch. I recommend the book. If you haven’t read the first two books in the series, you may want to read them first since some of the characters were introduced there. I enjoyed all three books in this series.

If you are looking for a great book or even more a great series, then the Sunriver Dreams series is the one for you. These books pull you in from page one and continue keeping you guessing. Designing Love is the third book in the Sunriver Dreams series. I love the setting of Sunriver, Oregon. It has a small town feel with all the amenities of a big town. The people appear to care and help one another even with the influx of tourists. It is the type of town that I would love to move and live.

This is the story of Sierra, her son Trey, and Spencer. The chemistry developed between these three characters is evident from the first page. I love how the author has these characters meet and interact throughout the novel. Will Trey ever forgive Spencer? Can Sierra learn to trust again? Who is responsible for all of the chaos? These are just a few of the many questions which will be answered as you sit and read. The teenage character of Trey will have most parents shaking their heads in agreement to how a typical teenager acts. So pull up a chair and enjoy.

I received a copy from the publisher. The review and my enjoyment were strictly my own.

Designing Love by Kimberly Rose Johnson
Have you ever had things just the way you wanted and then for some reason they start to fall apart? That’s what happened to Sierra, but she had a couple of friends who helped her stay focused on God’s providing hand, even in the mists of big struggles.
Kimberly Rose Johnson writes a sweet story of provision, hope and love. This story ties into her other two book in a wonderful way. The characters all come together and help each other out. I truly enjoyed finding out what has happened to those characters because they’ve become like family and friends to me.
This book was a wonderful ending to the Sunriver Dreams series.
I highly recommend reading this book.

Designing Love

This is a 3rd in a series and would recommend the whole series. Sierra is assistant to Bailey that designs houses and remodels them. Sierra and her fifteen year old son rent a house but when they first arrive Preston who is a police officer thinks they are breaking in and has a interesting first meeting with her son Trey. Will he ever make it up to Trey. There is a lot more characters in the book and enjoyed them all and really related to them. There is a mystery in the book and I did not figure it out, kept me in suspense. I really enjoyed this book and it is one you could read over again and still enjoy the second time. Definitely recommend it. I was given an advanced copy of the book.

Sierra is trying to make the best decisions for herself and her son. But, will the decisions cause people in the town to not trust her? Spencer knows what he believes to be true about Sierra, but, he is a police officer and his duty is to uphold the law. Can this interior design assistant and her son find happiness in this town? Will a new relationship be formed between Sierra and Spencer? Read this sweet, heartwarming story and found out what happens. This story will touch your heart and make you cheer on the characters. I enjoyed Designing Love very much. I received a copy from the author and this is my honest, personal opinion.

OK, so I got hooked and read the third one in the Sun River series. Some of the same characters are involved, and the setting is the same. The mystery this time is about who might be sabotaging Belafonte Design and why. Another question is who will Sierra end up with, Spencer or John? Of course, in the end all things work out in a positive manner.

The opening scene is fairly dramatic when Spencer answers a silent alarm and has Trey, Sierra’s son, on the ground with a pistol pointed at him. That dust up creates some immediate complications which are not easily resolved. The story moves along relatively well with some humor, a dramatic fire scene, and a spot when police work creates a situation that makes for some tension. All in all, it was an easy and satisfactory read.

A short epilogue at the end brought all the couples from the three novels together a few years later; that was a nice touch to see how the various families had grown.

Renewed my faith for true love

I just finished this book after reading the first two in this series i like how the books come together after reading the first which i got in a 6 box set on kindle i had to purchase the other two to finish the story about the other couples and how everything turned out it renewed my faith in true love and that when you pray anf turn everything over to Christ you have a better outcome in life just like in these stories we all have a path and a purpose and with prayer it is easier to find and stay on the right path and to know no matter how alone we feel sometimes with prayer we know that we are never alone and will find our way even if sometimes it seems we take the long way to get there

Designing Love continues the Sunriver Dreams series with the story of interior designer, Sierra, and her 15 year old son. The story involves some suspense as job sites are vandalized. Quite a bit of the story is a repeat of earlier books in the series but this is Sierra’s story. If you enjoy a light romance with a bit of suspense, you will like this book. I received an advance e-book from the author. This is my honest opinion.

The concluding third novel of the Sunriver Dreams series is a sweet romance with a touch of mystery. The mystery is a bit contrived and not difficult to figure out, but the romantic storyline between Sierra and Spencer is enjoyable and makes the entire experience worthwhile. Visits from past characters in the series round out the tale and give it more depth. This is a pleasant novel sure to please those who delight in a good love story.
Sierra Robbins is a single mother of a teenage son, Trey. She's a trained interior designer who is working as an assistant and waiting for her big break into the design world. While moving into a house she will be housesitting, Sierra unintentionally sets off a silent alarm that calls police officer Spencer Preston to the scene. He sees Trey in the driveway and holds him at gunpoint until things are sorted out, which leaves Trey and Sierra a bit apprehensive. When some mysterious things begin to happen that point to Sierra's guilt, will they be able to sort out who is behind the deeds?

Kimberly Rose Johnson is an author you can trust for clean reading with a fun, light-hearted touch of romance. She writes biblical principles into her stories and encourages living your faith.
This book is listed as a contemporary romance, but I would consider it more of a romantic mystery. The mystery extends itself to both the characters and the story.
I really enjoyed the storyline even though mystery is not something I would normally choose. I felt the characters were well-developed with strong backstories which left you fully engaged with them and the story. I truly think this is one of this author’s best.

A complimentary copy of this book was provided to me by the author.

Even though one of the main characters gets off to a rough start, Kimberly Rose Johnson quickly endears Spencer to readers by showing his good qualities. The writing flows smoothly and this was an enjoyable book to read. There are plenty of plot twists, turns, and surprises to hold readers’ interest. The relationships between characters are developed realistically and Trey, the heroine’s son, plays an integral role in the story. An epilogue wraps up loose ends for readers, which seems a little anticlimactic after the action-packed beginning. The strengths of character and plot development make this story well worth readers’ time.

I was given this book by the publisher as an advance copy, with no expectation of a review, positive or otherwise.

Welcome back to Sunriver, the quaint tourist town in Oregon where life is not always slow and peaceful. In Designing Love, the third book of Sunriver Dreams by Kimberly Rose Johnson, life starts out well for single mom Sierra. It quickly escalates as problems arise near the Belafonte design company's projects. All signs point to Sierra sabotaging her own boss's company.

I really enjoyed this mystery. Filled with faith, intrigue, doubt, and romance, the novel is a sweet, exciting interlude of a read, set in a beautifully detailed vacation location.

Who is framing Sierra? Can Spencer find out and protect her and her son? Quite an usual first meeting between the three of them. Loved seeing the characters from books 1 & 2. This is a sweet, clean romance with a mystery to solve. Loved the epilogue but hope there is a book 4.

Designing Love is a wholesome, heartwarming read! Although it is the third book in the Sunriver Dreams series, this story can be read independently of its predecessors. The community of Sunriver is full of charm, providing a picturesque backdrop for drama that unfolds. I enjoyed the mystery and romance of Sierra and Spencer’s story and look forward to reading more from Kimberley Johnson.

This was a really fun book to read! I kept wondering what was going to happen next and didn't want to put it down. Of course, trying to figure out who was framing her and would her son ever get over the bad incident kept me reading, also. I like the high quality of the book, too. Sometimes when I read a book the typos and grammar makes me crazy...but not Kimberly Rose Johnson's writings.... she does a great job. Can't think of anyone who wouldn't enjoy this book.....all of her books!

I thought this was a sweet story overall, with a suspenseful twist. I liked reading about Sierra and Spencer. I thought the character interaction was natural and delightful. I was a little out off by John however, and his ability to almost bounce from Sierra to possibly someone else. It seemed a little odd, as well as Sierra's reaction to him when I thought she was interested in Spencer. I think the storyline would have progressed better if the John/Sierra element was removed, and they were just focused on professional things.

I did enjoy the plot twist at the end...the one who was behind all the stuff happening was not quite who I thought it was going to be. I like a nice surprise like that, and I thought Sierra was just as surprised. I also appreciated the epilogue, as it showed the characters down the road which is something I wish more authors would do.

Although this is part of a series, I do feel it could be read as a stand alone. I had not read the previous installments and did not feel as if I was missing anything. I received a complimentary copy of this book. I was not required to write a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

In this book someone is continuing vandalizing Belafonte Designs and this time it's getting deadly. When Sierra gets hired as Bailey's assistance whoever is doing the vandalism uses that to their advantage to frame Sierra.

Also there is a "love triangle" between Sierra, Spencer and John. Who will Sierra choose - Spencer, the cop who held her son at gunpoint or John, who her son immediately likes?

This is the third book in this book in the Survivor Dreams series, but it can be read as a standalone. It is a wonderful combination of romance, suspense and faith that pulled me in from the first pages and kept me reading to see what was going to happen next. I thoroughly enjoyed following the relationship develop between Sierra, a single mom with things from her past that put her and her son in danger, and Spencer, the police officer that becomes her protector. I was given a copy of this book, but a favorable review was not required. The opinions expressed are my own, and this is definitely another good one from this author that I definitely recommend.

This was such a good ending to the Sunriver Dreams series. Spencer has been in the books since the beginning and I was glad to see him get his own story. There was a lot of mystery and wondering what was going to happen next, which I liked. I liked Sierra’s strength, and Trey was a teenager through and through. This was a great book and great series. I would recommend it.

This is a great contemporary romance with a mystery thrown in!

This is a stand-alone story. A number of the secondary characters were also in the previous books in the series.

I love the main characters in this book. Sierra, her son, Trey, and Spencer are easy to understand and relate to. Sierra has a lot of emotional baggage that she needs to work through that really affects her interaction with people now. She is really trying to work on it with God’s help.

The mystery is mild but woven throughout the story. I really like the fact that it isn’t the whole focus, but it also isn’t pushed aside and ignored.

I received a free eBook copy of this novel from the author. I have chosen to write this review to express my personal opinion.
