It's all fun and games until egos get hurt.

After a year of a seemingly happily-ever-after, Troy Babilonia throws a curve ball that smacks Larson Blackburn right in the head. When Troy's debut novel, "Bridge to Lonely," threatens to overshadow Larson's own success, inviting a past shadow into the light of their present, the two alphas must learn to adjust.

"Bridge to Lonely" has garnered an unexpected success both in the literary world and in the film industry, forcing Larson to accept that he is not the only successful author in the building. But as Troy's old flame decides to make an appearance, the two alphas are forced to test the strength of their love. Let the battle of the egos recommence; where sarcasm is the preferred weapon, and the testosterone levels go beyond the boiling point.

Because Black Balled just wasn't enough...Smith & LeNoir bring you Hard Edit.

5 He is mine. And I am his. Stars

What a fun, fabulous conclusion to one of my all time favorite M/M Couples! I took a chance a while back on a "taboo" book called, Black Balled. I bought it solely on the fact that I was really intrigued by the story and I was so pleased to have been blown away by it. The love story of Troy Babilonia and Larson Blackburn was so out of the box fun and the writing was done so well with two authors. Who would have thought that the blogging world's bad boy and the hot new indie author could find forever with one another?

At no time was Troy and Larson's taboo romance easy. Whether it was accepting one another professionally by agreeing to disagree or truly coming to terms with their new and oh so delish romance, their journey was tense! Add in those strong male characteristics with double the alpha behavior and WOW, they are quite a pair. I am so happy too that neither Troy or Larson have lost their sassy and sexy sense of selves now that they have "fallen."

"With all our bickering, and ego battles, there is one thing we are always good at, no matter the circumstances, and that's loving each other. We may not be conventional in the way we show it but we feel it with every fiber of our being."

Welcome to Hard Edit While this read has its own crazy fun story with plot twists and bumps along the road, for me it really was a fun and steamy epilogue of sorts as the couple needed to "figure life out," together. Troy and Larson are facing professional changes, the appearance of past lovers, and new intensifying emotional connections. I admit, though, I was not worried at all! There is no other couple that could screw up so royally and then end up screwing together so well to fix their mistakes. This is a couple that is truly perfectly imperfect and they are fabulous. Having the ability to read their fumbles and flirty follies is pure entertainment. Troy is still a witty, possessive smart-ass and Larson is just as conceited and arrogant as ever. Together they are the perfect compliment and there connection is so palpable that the words they speak are sizzling.

"This is us. Our mere closeness a game of foreplay."

What a great fun read with two men who are both so endearing and so sexy. The intimacy is tenfold and better than ever as they battle to the final seconds of claiming one another. Along with that intimacy is the strong support they now provide with words of encouragement and soft open arms that provide comfort as well. Growing professionally together and apart, Troy and Larson have an amazing future ahead of them.

"...We could exist without the other, but I've come to the realization that we wouldn't be living."

I applaud both authors for giving closure to a few of those lingering issues from the past, for continuing to strengthen the bond between both men and showing it with dual POV, and for amplifying the intimacy with both raw male appeal and deep emotional connection. If you are a fan of the M/M genre then this read will satisfy on so many levels by bringing a smile to the face and simultaneously making a cold drink a necessity.

Larson and Troy may have overcome quite a bit early in their relationship, but they weren’t ready for the HEA just yet. Larson, far more comfortable in his skin has had a long while to come to terms with who he is, unlike Troy who recently admitted to himself who he really was. But both men still struggle to communicate, trust and ultimately feel secure in the gift they have found in one another.

With Troy taking the leap from reviewer to writer – he’s putting it all out there. A story that although cloaked in fiction, is about to force all his fears from the closet and into the open. But it isn’t just his fears that return. Both Larson and Troy have to fight to overcome the insecurity two very alpha men feel when it comes to the men that came before them.

Hard Edit is the sequel to Black Balled, where we really got to first know these two characters. If you’re expecting just a fun and sexy romp-fest you better buckle up and be ready for one helluva emotional (and hot as fuck) ride!

I never really thought Black Balled was left as a HFN, but it sure as hell felt like it once I got knee (or knuckle ;) deep into Hard Edit. Both Andrea and Eva gave me so much more than I even knew I wanted – but this was a stunning conclusion to their love story. Laced with a bit of humor (thanks to Larson’s smart mouth), pumped full of testosterone fueled fucking and brimming with emotions. This story brought these characters full circle and really gave them an ending that was so deserved.

I am torn on the rating, because this fell just shy of a five star – really, really close. There was this strong emotional theme that I was drawn to and then the heat was off the charts. I think for me this was an instance of me wanting one more than the other (which one, who knows – both were done so well). Overall though, a very solid read and one I enjoyed from start to finish. Two alpha’s going at it – well that’s just what wet dreams are made of.

Do you remember that book that had everyone on a uproar? Well Andrea Smith and Eva LeNoir are back and this time there is no black balling them as they wrote a one-two punch knockout with Hard Edit.

photo f2691cdc2cb665cc3042555d49f1d1_zpsqwizjqxm.gif “Up until recently, I couldn’t finish the book because it had no ending. Until now. And it’s only because of Larson that I was able to finish the story and give it the HEA it deserved.”

Hard Edit follows up on our beloved couple Troy and Larson. Who thought these two will be riding off to the sunset and living their happily ever after? Well I hope they did but let’s face it, every relationship has it’s ups and downs. And for Troy and Larson, it looks like they need to edit and correct the hurdles that stand in their way. What makes this follow-up book stand out is that while Smith & LeNoir incorporated their signature mark of witty banter and sexy steamy scenes, this story carried more of an emotional undertone. Readers got to see the real Troy and Larson. Naked. Vulnerable. Unedited.

#HardEdit

Smith & LeNoir did an amazing job juxtaposing and weaving two strong male characters while still highlighting their individuality. Each character brought something to the story line as readers were able to see and feel the character growth of both Troy and Larson. Yes, they will still fight and argue but it’s normal. They are two perfectly imperfect couple who fits together.

photo f2691cdc2cb665cc3042555d49f1d1_zpsqwizjqxm.gif “I love your cock, the way it fits inside me,” I respond, breathless, before attacking his parted lips and sinking my teeth into his bottom lip. “I love your ass. The way it clenches around my dick every time I slide deep inside you.”

Overall, I really enjoyed reading Hard Edit and could not put this book down. It was sexy, funny, playful and yet packed that raw emotional punch. Smith & LeNoir beautifully brought forth a story that was realistic, raw, vibrant, and charismatic. Together they tastefully blended a clean and flawlessly well-done smart modern romance.

My Thoughts - Story
Again, I am pulled into the story of Troy and Larson...

After the last fiasco of this story and all the hub-bub that it caused on social media, I was so freaking excited when Andrea asked me to host the tour of Hard Edit!

I couldn't wait to get a copy of this story and read more of my two favorite characters. Now, if you look at my "Read" shelf, you will see that there aren't many M/M books because normally I do not enjoy this genre very much (no, don't beat me over the head). But there is something about the way Andrea and Eva write this particular genre, that completely sucks me in.

I absolutely loved the troubles these two had to face, along with their funny banter and don't even get me started on the sex scenes....WHEW...how do I wish I was sandwiched between these two!

Re-Cap
After reading Black Balled, I thought Troy and Larson would have a follow up that incorporates their "happily ever after" but...ummm....no, Andrea and Eva give these two more obstacles to overcome and adds in some very emotional conundrums.

If you are looking for a book that includes laughs, sighs, steamy sex and a few bouts of breath holding...(even if you normally don't read M/M) this is definitely the book for you!!

Title: Hard edit: Sequel to "Black Balled"
Genre: Gay Romance
Author: Andrea Smith & Eva LeNior
Jo's Grade: 5 Stars

The Gospel According to Jo:

If you haven't read Black Balled yet, I encourage you to take the journey. This next instalment and apparently the last, BOO!! Is even better, even hotter, even funnier, even quirkier. Oh! I am a huge fan of Troy and Larson, not in the stalker sense because we all know how Troy feels about that. What? You don't know what I'm talking about. Hmmm, only one thing for it, no I am not taking trip down memory lane and going over what happen in book one, you need to read. hehe!! I know you hate me, well that's okay because Larson hated Troy and look where that got them, in lust, in love, in it forever.
I have seriously laughed my head off while reading this story. Not just laughed out loud, I'm talking giggling my head off till I had tears rolling down my face. Not only am I totally on Troy and Larson's wave length, and completely get their sense of humour, I understand the relationship they have fits them. It's weirdly lovable to read. I just couldn't help but understand the dynamics of their relationship. Obviously the credit for that can only go to the writers, these ladies should definitely write more M/M together. Hint Hint!!

The elderly neighbour, Ida is hilarious, there was a scene where she was having a heart to heart with Troy and to say he was uncomfortable with the way the conversation was going was an understatement. She certainly has a way with words that's for sure. Troy on the other hand is tongue tied, haha!!

I am actually laughing while writing this review as another scene pops into my head. I swear I wish I could share with you all, but the profanities are not something I can repeat, well not in a review. I'm no prude you know. HA! Of course you know, I've just read Hard Edit and want more. Greedy much?

You know how they say opposites attract? After reading this book, I would have to agree. They also say, you get like the ones you live with. Let's hope Troy learns to use a coaster at all times since "he's sleeping with the Coaster King of Manhattan", Quoting Troy. HAHA!!

Larson and Troy go to a book signing. Sound familiar? The lead up to the signing was another reason, I couldn't stop laughing. Larson organising his swag. OMG!! If you are an Author, you know all about ordering your swag with your own brand on. And for you readers who love the swag, shame we can't get Larson's. I'd love a coaster. HAHAHA!!

Remember, Lloyd? He's got his own story to share in Guns Blazing which is available to download, but we get a little glimpse of Lloyd on his knees, well at least Larson does. Awkward!!!
This book is just jammed pack with fun, laughter, lust, love. It's an exciting read and I would definitely recommend to all lovers of Gay Romance.

Andrea Smith & Eva LeNoir, YOU NAILED IT!! I didn't think it could top Black Balled, but was I wrong. If Gay Romance readers don't love this book, I will suck my...... And that is my cue to leave this review.

I've been reading Black Balled and Hard Edit back to back and I've gotta admit I can't get enough of these two seriously flawed men. Reading about their shenanigans and craziness are damn entertaining. Is like watching some B grade movie whereby you knew the ridiculousness is face palm worthy but you still want to continue no matter what.

Black Balled ended in a satisfying HEA, and with Hard Edit the authors throw in a few more bumps along the road before their ultimate HEA, not that I'm complaining.

Larson is still full of his usual snarky self, so anal, pun intended and possess an ego the size of a planet. Hyperbole? Might be Larson rubbing off on me.

Troy seems a bit more mellow compare to when I first met him. The domestic life with Larson must be good for his soul. However, with these two you knew their life won't be mundane and peaceful. They often fight about the most inconsequential things and Larson competitive nature is driving Troy crazy.

I love the part whereby they are both attending the book signing at Atlanta and about their swag order. As I reside in Asia, I don't have the opportunity to attend such event, so is fun to actually read about it.

But the most important part of this sequel is the appearance of a certain someone from their past that might just rock their love boat. Who is that person? Is a surprise that you need to read for yourself. The emergence of the threat seems to throw Larson and Troy into a frustrating drama that cause by miscommunication and misunderstanding. Sounds awful? I know. Usually I'm ready to chuck the kindle whenever I read about this kind of plot. But with Larson and Troy, I can just laugh it off and actually find it entertaining to see them acting like idiots.

Anyway, no matter how bad is it, they usually can't keep away from each other for too long. I'm not worried in the least. The last quarter of the book filled with a good dose of lovefest and a little bit of debauchery. I'm glad to see more inclusion of Larson's mom and Troy's elderly neighbor, Ida. They bring forth such warmth to the story.

When the author write at the end that this is really the end of the journey, I'm sad. I'm still in denial, wishing that there will be more to come for Larson and Troy, the unconventional couple that I grow to love.

Laugh out loud at the overflowing satirical prose will most definitely be the cause for embarrassment if you’re reading Hard Edit in public. Therefore, I wouldn’t recommend doing this as you could be on the receiving end of dirty looks. Yeah, I am speaking from experience, so don’t say you haven’t been warned! Never expecting a follow-up, I can’t begin to thank the authors enough for taking the bull by the horns without any consternation. If you like this kind of genre, my advice to you is to read Black Balled first as it gets you into the swing of Larson and Troy’s escapades. Or maybe I should say sexapades because hotness in parenthesis is guaranteed. Have an open-mind, jump into it without prejudice and I can honestly say you won’t be disappointed. Why do I mention this, then?

Black Balled was considered a somewhat controversial read and caused undue criticism on a certain reviewing site. This actually shocked me seeing that authors have every right to express themselves through their writings; fortunately, the book was praised by many and quite rightly so, too. Taking the Indie publishing world by storm, it also happened to be the first book I’d read by these co-authors. And just WOW! I loved it. The proverbial cherry on the top was the publication of the Audible version narrated by Noel Leslie who couldn’t have done a better job. How he made the books’ characters come even more alive than they were with all his speech nuances was nothing less than incredible.

“Oh, don’t give me your black onyx stare Helveccia, I’m immune to it, remember?”

Hard Edit rounded up few unanswered questions I had concerning a complex relationship between two horrendously drop-dead gorgeous alpha males. And to be totally honest, I hadn’t had enough of them, either. I needed more of these guys who'd got under my skin and wiggled their way into my life. To say they complement each other so damn well would be putting it lightly, and regardless of their personal setbacks, I couldn’t help but love them to bits. Hmm… at times they frustrated the pants of me with their infantile bickering; however, my way of thinking was swayed by the Yin and Yang theory. One simply doesn’t function without the other. Lord above, talk about grinning from ear to ear isn’t in it. Their peculiarities provoked a strong urge to give them a good spanking! Wishful thinking on my part of course, and one of Larson’s traits even encouraged me to tidy the place up!

Lungful in. The world will not implode if you don’t clean up.
Exhale out. Work is more important than cleaning.
Lungful in… Oh, who the fuck am I kidding?

The authors have definitely hit it on the nail describing Troy and Larson’s push-pull, give and take amorous affair and professional competitiveness. What I absolutely adored was that whatever goings on cropped up, one of them seemed to be one step in front of the other. Lol, most of the time! Blunders are solved the only way they know how which I have no wish to tell you about since that would spoil it for you. Nevertheless, Troy’s handling of his new writing venture was nothing less than hilarious and for reasons to be revealed, you’ll understand why he not only had his tail between his legs, but also felt flabbergasted and frustrated! Actually, I thought he coped admirably considering it was his first time in a lioness’ den. Then Ethan steps into the scenario and goes with the flow—literally. One scene of many had my imagination running riot and grabbing for a fan. Believe me, there is never a dull moment with these two, and what Troy has up his sleeve is so him! Blowing kisses to my man. You Troy, are a true romantic at heart. Oops, sorry ladies, first dibs and all that! Ooh my, although I had a strong suspicion something big was on the horizon for them, the ending is their new beginning. Guys, it's everything you deserve and I have no doubt you’ll both do your very best and more besides. Acceptance, tolerance, the joining of two beautiful souls is exactly how I would sum up their story.

“So what? You stalked his ass?”
“Just a little,” “Not my proudest moment, I assure you.”

Now then, I have to mention the book’s structural writing. Firstly, my KFF sista-in arms—Rachel and myself have a fave narrative feature. Present tense and told from alternative points of view. Bingo! The authors haven’t changed their style from one book to another. The banter is much like listening to a real conversation, the sarcasm reminds one of the very best dry humorous comedies construed with an apt seriousness. Secondly and foremost, Andrea and Eva are a mean writing machine together and to be reckoned with. They’ve combined their storytelling skills with no holds barred, developed two contrary characters’ personae to perfection, and nudge nudge, wink wink ladies, I’m hoping you both might even consider writing Ethan’s story. He certainly merits being heard! I had absolutely no gripes with the editing… no pun intended, the plot is extremely well constructed and the pace just to my liking kept me enthralled throughout. So what else can I say except BRAVO gals!

A couple of my fave quotes:

“For fuck's sake,” “You never, ever treat a blogger like that! What the hell were you thinking?”

“Troy. You can't be serious. You cannot give away key chains at an official signing with your private parts exposed like Janet Jackson's left tit at the Super Bowl. It's tacky and, honestly, doesn't do your size justice.”

“You're filling that void with a transgender poodle?”

“I'm afraid with all the festivities, I've got a headache that's killing me. Can I take a rain-check?”

Note: If you haven't read Black Balled then I would recommend that you don't read my review.

I am generally not a fan of sequels. Whether it be books or movies, it's been my experience that 95% of those "seconds" are good or just okay (a watered down version of what you LOVED in the first).

I was cautiously optimistic that this second book would fall into the 5% category. I was not disappointed.

In the first book, Black Balled (which I listened to via audible), we are introduced to two well-written characters - Troy (a book critic) and Larson (an author). They were both snarky, way too smart, and totally alpha.

In the second book, not much has changed in regards to Troy and Larson's personalities. The big difference is that their relationship together has a lot of challenges. These two sizzling hot alphas can't seem to let go of their own individual control-freakiness ways and that's the main challenge that gets in the way of their relationship moving from that honeymoon period to something that is a long term keeper.

I will tell you that when I listen to an audible version of a series and then switch to the book version for the next in series, I sometimes struggle with feeling comfortable in the alternate medium.

Not a problem here. As I was reading about the adventures of Larson and Troy, the narrator from book #1 was the voices in my head. I laughed a lot as I was reading. I smiled at their individual antics. I was all warm and fuzzy when they allowed themselves to let each other in. I was squirming and panting during all of the hotter than hot sexual encounters. Yes, they were scorching hot but the sexual bits and bobs weren't there for sensationalism. Every single scene played into a bigger, more intimate look into the maturing of their relationship. And to that point let me tell you, I loved that the authors didn't lather-rinse-repeat on these scenes.

The secondary characters did not disappoint. Lloyd is still my favorite submissive lawyer (there's a book on his story too).

I believe that this is the end of Troy and Larson's story and while I will definitely miss them, I appreciate that the authors have left this reader with a smile on my face.

Please note that I was given an Advanced Review Copy (ARC) of this book. I was not asked to write a review but I chose to do so. My opinions are my own and I will forever love Larson and Troy.

When I had the privilege to read and reviewed Black Balled I was sadden to finish the book and saying goodbye to these amazing characters.
Black Balled was something very special and if I was to describe it in one word what comes to mind will be: MAGNIFICENT.
If you still haven’t read it PLEASE do so now, as Hard Edit will be twice as enjoyable.
As soon as I heard that the dynamic duo of Andrea Smith and Eva LeNoir were reunited and writing "Hard Edit" a spinoff of BB, I was ecstatic, excited and been counting the days to read this baby.
Perhaps you have heard that sequels aren’t good, that sometimes is hard to come back as strong or stronger with a clever plot and deliver a great book.

Cambridge online English Dictionary defines “page-turner” as;
a book that is so exciting that you want to read it quickly.

Oxford online English Dictionary simply defines it as “an exciting book".

Merriam-Webster online Dictionary defines it as;

a book, story, etc., that is difficult to stop reading because it is so interesting.

Non of those descriptions come even close to put into words how extraordinary this book was. I seriously didn’t want to finish reading. I was torn with wanting to get the conclusion and still having something epic to read the next day LOL.

Larson and Troy or “Troyson" as I call them, are back and in this instalment we see their unlikely relationship blossoming through the pages plus all the hurdles and mishaps they must endure in order to get their HEA.
Misunderstandings, miscommunications and mistrust bring complications to their perfectly constructed life, plus Troy has a surprise in store for Larson (insert evil laughter here).
Our Authors went seriously to town with this one and had me laughing out loud, gasping for air, sighing and running for the tissues, it just had everything I want to see in a book and all the elements that make it a great read.

Creative dialogue= Check

Easy flow of the story= Check

Original Plot= Check

Not One but Two sexy characters= Check

A plethora of funny, sexy & hot situations=Check and Check and triple checked.

Unexpected Twists=Check

The list is simply endless!.

Andrea and Eva were born to write, each are so talented and have produced fabulous books on their own. But put them together and what you get is PERFECTION.

Hard Edit is a phenomenal book, one that will be HARD to match and Impossible to forget.

This ARC was given to me for an honest review.

I still don't get involved in the bad shit surrounding Goodreads. I read this book because I honestly liked the first one and I had hoped to read more about Troy and Larson. And I wasn't disappointed. Again I have been pulled in a story that kept me captivated from the first page to the last. A few mistakes I found (mainly missing words - but nothing that I find in other books as well). It did not take away from a well paced story about the blogger and the writer. Both are in a firm relationship and enjoy sharing their lives and bodies. But then the past catches up with them in form of Ethan. It turns out that even the most wordy people struggle to communicate when it comes to important stuff in life. Lucky they are surrounded by family and friends who love and care. Not everything is fluffy clouds in paradise though and they have to deal with it, if they want to get their HEA.
The writing was fluid and funny, I laughed out loud a few times. Their banter is hilarious and the supportive characters are well developed. Most fun I had with the animals involved (I actually read passages to hubby). The sex was hot and plenty. Seems I missed a book in between, so I will go and chase it down for hopefully another great read.

Title: Hard Edit (Black Balled #2)
Genre: MM Romance/Romantic Comedy
Author/s: Andrea Smith & Eva LeNoir
Donna’s Grade: 4.5 stars

The Gospel According to Donna:

“You’re the main plot of my life story.”
“You’re the beginning and the end of mine.”

I am by no means a Babu but I couldn’t help but write this review in his style, minus the bluntness and rudeness of course, because that is just not me. But Babu’s reviews have been an integral part of this series and is just one part that has had me cracking up and in some respects wishing I had the balls to do it myself sometimes. But I have always been taught if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all, one rule that Babu definitely doesn’t fly by and Babu is back to his best in Hard Edit. Hard Edit is the sequel to Black Balled and as Troy and Larson’s story continues you need to have read Black Balled first.

“I want to be so far inside you that I’ll feel like a phantom limb once I’m gone.”

Andrea Smith and Eva LeNoir keep up the comedic genius in this book as Larson and Troy, the most unlikeliest of couples at first glance, prove that sometimes first impressions lie. These two are head over heels for one and other and their chemistry is palpable throughout. As always with these two authors the heat factor is cranked up to combustible level and will have your pulse racing a mile a minute as these two men give us a voyeuristic look at one hell of a healthy sex life. Sex between these two has always been hot and for a while I did think it was the crux of their relationship. However, in Hard Edit, these two grow as a couple, coming to terms with their insecurities, jealousy and trust issues. This was quite the fall for the both of them, but now they blossom and together they can conquer anything.

“Troy and I make the perfect right angle. Two perpendicular lines fatefully meeting to create a ninety degree angle. It’s beautiful, it’s mathematically exquisite. Then, out of the blue, comes that fucking hypotenuse wanting to play with the cool kids.”

Troy’s career is taking off on another tangent, he is dipping his toes into self-publishing, under a pen name so he can keep his literary and reviewing lives apart. Bridge to Lonely is Troy’s real life story cloaked in a veil of fiction. Names have been changed to protect the innocent, or not so innocent as the case may be. This is a huge step for Troy, this is a book he has been toying with for years, writing a little here and there, but his new found relationship has given him the motivation to finally complete it. It is born from blood, sweat and tears but Troy feels a huge sense of achievement and in a sense it was cathartic, his emotions, thoughts and feelings were finally purged onto paper and he finally felt a weight lifted.

“Jesus H. Christ,” I say, “Let’s just drop it, shall we? It’s obvious that we both had some oral fixations going on even back then what with the pacifiers we’re packing.”

In essence though, this was the icing on the proverbial cake for us Black balled fans. Troy and Larson were a couple that I immediately fell in love with in Black Balled. That intense love/hate relationship that they first had, had me totally engaged and captivated by their smart mouths and less than stellar actions. But as these two grow and we learn more about them, their characters really rise to the surface and make them that more understandable and certainly more loveable. For all their charm, wit and smart mouths, these two both had a heart of gold and seeing them grow from strength to strength had me smiling from ear to ear. Their road is far from smooth, they still have a lot to learn, but these two were soul mates, the yin to the yang, the peanut butter to the jelly, they just went together and apart they were…blinkin useless!

“He’s my soul mate. Not because he sucks dick like a fucking pro, but because he looks straight into my eyes as he does it. No secrets, no judgment, no doubts.”

Andrea Smith and Eva LeNoir really delivered with Hard Edit. This was a great ending for this couple, a fantastic journey and one that they took with their eyes wide open. Two rutting alphas as always gave for some intense scenes but as these two progressed the authors gave us their emotional sides too. We get those thoughts and feelings, everything about them was tangible. I felt it, I lived and breathed it, and for me that was the only part lacking in Black Balled. Totally loved it.

“I’m like a Porsche 911. I go from clothed to naked in two point eight seconds.”

I thought Black Balled couldn't get any better, but I was sorely mistaken when I read Hard Edits! These two very strong Alpha Males made me laugh, cry, scream, and want to rip my hair out all within a couple of chapters. If you haven't picked up this series yet, you definitely need to get right on that!!!

I received a physical ARC of this book at an author event recently in exchange for an honest review.

Too many Stars but 5 on here.

I was given this book for my honest review.

This is the 2nd book and final book of this epic story. Black Balled must be read first to understand this epic story.

When one thinks of these two hot males it’s like a soufflé coming together never forgetting the key ingredients egg yolks and egg whites that are beaten to perfection, adding our favorite finely chopped chocolate, unsalted butter, vanilla, sugar a bit of lemon juice, then beating it softly to perfection again, adding it to our oven for a delectable treat but hence we not forget after coming out of such oven a sprinkle of confectionery sugar brings this rising treat to new heights. Larson and Troy come together for one final epic book conclusion that will have you swooning, crying and laughing in all the right places.

These two authors come together to bring us an epic HEA or do they? Obstacles arise within the book that these two authors bring to perfection. Bringing Larson and Troy together is not only legendary but also gives hope to many that think hard is just that in reality though it is the hardest of one that brings a couple together. Opposites attract they say but hardness of opposites is the best attraction there is especially for this epic duo. Major Kudos to these two authors.

Happy Reading

It's not always rainbows and butterflies, it's compromise that moves us along. Troy and Larson need to learn that message in Hard Edit.

For me, this book was an unexpected gift. I never expected another Larson/Troy book but I loved my 2 alpha boys so much I was delighted for more. I live on raw emotion.

I was thinking of doing this review entirely made up of Maroon 5 lyrics but nothing last forever babe, it hurts but it may be the only way.

Ok I'm done.

I snorted I laughed so hard. Larson and his OCD. Troy's hilarious book reviews - the dingleberry dilemma. The whole thing about book signings and author swag. Minette the cross dressing poodle. Ethan the ex and the ex (watch out for a sexy hot scene involving 3 - sort of).

I swear this book has it all. Naughty boys going at it. Tender moments. Karen the busty receptionist - hi, Adam is mine!

I just love the warm happy feeling that the writing of these two ladies gives me. It feels like a private joke they want to share with the reader. I feel they genuinely love Troy and Larson, they want to challenge their relationship, push their buttons, make them stronger.

Take a chance, I know you won't regret it.

Ok...these two are my new book boyfriends. Love the sexy alphas, humorous sparring and competitive boys with a passion. Their roller coaster relationship was a great ride and I would absolutely worship you if I could have a story about Ethan. Full review coming on The Smut-Brarians.

When Hard Edit was offered to me to read and review, I finally had the chance to read book 1, Black Balled. It had been on my tbr list for some time and now I was moving it up to the top. I knew that there was a lot of controversy surround book 1, so I jumped right in. Hard Edit is the follow up/continuation to Troy Babilonia and Larson Blackburn's story.

Troy and Larson have now been together a year. The have their ups and downs like just about any couple out there. They have managed to maintain their independence as much as possible. They still have their own apartments, thus giving them the needed space that they require from time to time. Their relationship is just as explosive now as it was before. They tend to communicate their feelings for one another with plenty of sexy, skin-to-skin contact. These scenes were off the charts hot!!!! I seriously fell in love with these two swoon worthy, alpha men! They both want to be in control and have to learn to find a happy medium. When Troy decides to try his hand at writing , he surprises Larson, but in more ways than one. His book is a success and worthy of a movie. The banter and comedic talents of these two characters leaves you gasping for air at times. Larson decides that he will be the one to teach Troy all about the book signing world...lol

I love that this book and Black Balled are set in the indie author, blogger world. It allows the reader to relate to the subject matter more so than in other stories, at least for me that was the case. I really enjoyed the writing style of Smith and LeNoir. You could not tell where one writer had ended and the other began. The story flowed seamlessly. I for one was rooting for Troy and Larson to find a way to make their relationship work once a man from Troy's past shows up. Would they be strong enough to handle the stresses caused by Troy's success and the fact that an ex was back in the picture or will these two controlling, sexy, alpha men be each others undoing?

If you are sucker for a good M/M like I am, go and grab your copies of these two books and jump on the awesome roller coaster ride that is Troy and Larson's story. You will not be disappointed!

The Boys Are Back!! in this 5 star He's Mine and I'm His read. Hard Edit is the book that follows on from Black Balled because lets face it we needed more of Larson and Troy and if you haven't read Black Balled you need to get on it, these two books are fantastic reads.
After i finished Black Balled we really got the sense that they had their HEA coming together in a spectacular way. Like most people though and with most reads we always want that extra more of what happens now and with Hard Edit we most definitely get that within this read.

"You're the main plot of my life story."
"You're the beginning and the end of mine."

There is more of an emotional side throughout this book and we get to see the insecurities of both men and how they over come them sometimes in funny and neurotic ways but that gives you the feeling of this being real because love makes you neurotic, irrational and emotional.
Smith and Lenoir writing is brilliant, witty hot as hell giving us two strong male characters, who we can see butting heads throughout life but in the words of Ida...

"Make-up sex is pretty darn good"

I can't wait to read more from each of these two Authors having never read anything from them before Black Balled i have to say you've gained another fan.
You may read this review and think well that doesn't tell me much about the story my answer to that is i could have gone on and on about both of these books giving you the in's and outs, but some books you just need to read, breath in, live through and get so lost into you crave more and Black Balled and Hard Edit are just that. So sit back relax and delve into the lives of Troy and Larson i can promise you, you won't be disappointed.

So... what can I say for this one?

This is the first book ever in which I highlighted so many excerpts..I liked-no, loved-the whole book, it was so good...so funny, full of love and lust! :)

It's very different from Black Balled because we see a completely different side of Troy and Larson. Yes, they are...kind of difficult characters but they are so good, so perfect for each other. AND SO FUNNY!!!!!! I couldn't stop laughing while reading it!

I'll let some excerpts to "speak" for me...

"This is everything...we are everything to each other. Troy is the full moon to my nights, I'm the sun to his days. He is the wine to my evenings, I'm the coffee to his mornings. We could exist without the other but I've come to realization that we couldn't be living"

"He's mine. I'm his. Together, we're flawed and impossible yet perfect for each other"

"Every single one of your obstacles has led you to me. Every path, every disappoitment and every one of your choices has brought you one step closer to me. Me, Troy. I will right her wrongs by loving you more, better and without fault"

Forget everything about Black Balled and the bullshits they told you about it. They are two seriously good books, give them a chance.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Hard Edit is the follow up to Black Balled. If you have not read Black Balled yet my suggestion is to read it right away. I absolutely loved it and fell in love with Larson and Troy there. You do not want to miss how they met and ultimately fell for each other. These are m/m romances but two of the best books I've read.

Troy Babilonia and Larson Blackburn have been happily living their lives for a year. Troy however has a surprise for Larson. He's completed the novel he'd shown Larson that he'd never finished and is self publishing it as "Bridge To Lonely". Wi the immediate success of Troy's book Larson is forced to realize he's not the only author in this relationship. When a filmmaker, who is a person from Troy's past, shows up wanting to turn his book into a movie the strength of their relationship is tested. Two alpha males, sarcasm, and a battle of egos, could lead to some huge explosions.

I fell hard for both Larson and Troy in Black Balled. An indie author and a mean as all get out blogger made for one amazing story. Fast forward a year and they both seem to have found their bliss. With the release of Troy's book his old friend and the reason behind his book being written shows up in town. Ethan Miller and Troy have a past that was never really concluded and was the cause of a lot of harmful things for Troy. Along with Ethan came insecurities for both Troy and Lawson. Toss in Lloyd and things get really crazy. I was beyond thrilled too to see Ida and Muffy who by way I just absolutely adore. We Also meet her friend and Larson neighbor Thelma and her dog Minette. I loved this book so much. Two hot alphas fighting for control and both with vey sarcastic mouths leads to some pretty hilarious moments. Along with the funny though comes the serious and my heart was fully invested so it was experiencing lots of feels. Add in the heat between Troy and Larson and you've got book perfection. Hard Edit was so much more than what I expected it to be. Trust me when I say after Black Balled I expected a lot.

Andrea Smith and Eva LeNoir make such perfect writing partners. You'd never know Hard Edit was written by two authors. It's flow is flawless. The story though has got to be one of the best ever in the m/m genre that I have read. Together Andrea Smith and Eva LeNoir have written a love story that you are so much better for experiencing. A love story that will stick with you forever.

Troy and Larson have been together about a year and happily together, co-existing while maintaining separate apartments for when they need a little “space” from each other’s alpha tendencies. Quietly on the side, Troy has been working on his own writing project as a surprise to Larson. When Troy ends up having some success with his debut and a man from his past pops up, there is a bit of trouble that pops up in paradise. Will these two be able to share their true feelings and get past these bumps or is getting naked the only way these two are able to communicate?

“Still, I can’t help but get my point across to Larson that maybe he’s sacrificing his book’s message by pandering to the secondary subplots, i.e., erotic scenes versus the real plot of his book. Yes, sex sells, but is that truly the path he wants to take?

I think not.”

So many funny lines in this series. If you haven’t read Black Balled, you really need to. I fell in love with Troy and Larson and their humorous sparring and competitiveness. This book was just so much fun to read and I loved that it was set in the book world with bloggers and signings. Larson was hilarious trying to “school” Troy on his first signing and seeing it from Troy’s point of view…just so on the mark. I mean we all want the hunky guy pics, right? They are sexy, badass and quite nerdy all at the same time. While they were definitely in a relationship, they hadn’t quite figured out how to get to their happily ever after. They knew they wanted to be “together” but sometimes had a hard time getting there. When one of their careers takes off, egos get bruised and it’s time to figure out how to make it all work out.

I admit I love a good alpha M/M book. This has to be one of my favorites. I’ve been recommending it to everyone I know that likes M/M. This is a MUST READ.

(I hope my English is not too far from flawless, enjoy my honest review)

I loved Black Balled and I was so happy that the authors wrote a sequel. I was sure to love it and I wasn't wrong : it was awesome, brilliant and a perfection.

First, the main characters were just as we love them : authentic, fun and moving. Well, of course they were super hot, playful and so much in tune (or not). The reader becomes quickly obsessed with Troy and Larson's relationship. I, for instance, was fascinated by their nakedness, their strong love for each other or just the way they stay themselves though it can be difficult. When life punches you in the face (or at least, that's what you think), sometimes you need life to punch someone you love too. That's when everything becomes clearer and that's what happened to our heroes.

While reading, I was also falling in love (as usual when I read Eva Le Noir and Andrea Smith) with the writing. Here, it has the power of making you laugh, cry and reflect. It was beautifully written, also bold, spicy and passionate. I felt so much and I shouldn't say but if I had to pick a best friend, it would be Troy. And if I had to pick a boyfriend, Larson would be mine. Hard edit, made that clear for me. Trust me, you need to know why I am so sure!

Hard edit deals with Troy's demons and how it affects his love life and his work. And Larson, well maybe he is more than the Alpha we know he is.

This sequel is an amazing conclusion and you obviously need to read it! This story, just like Black Balled, was mind blowing. You know, there are so many reasons for you to buy and read Hard Edit, but the first reasons are : love, love and love.

Happy reading!

WOW !
I absolutely fell in love with Larson and Babu/Troy in Black Balled and am so glad that they got another book.
I did wonder whether the comedy would be as prominent in this as well as Babu's acid tongued reviews, and i'm glad to say, they were.
Yet again this had me laughing out loud so many times at the things which happen to them as well as what they go through, but as with Black Balled, things don't run smoothly for either of them.
Andrea and Eva have definitely hit the jackpot with this book and have kept the same levels of comedy, seriousness and sexiness as before.
It was great to see Ida back too, being her usual self, looking after "her boys", bringing out her trusted weapons when needed too.
I'd love to see how Babu wrote a review for this book !!
Absolutely FANTASTIC !!!

I thought Larson and Troy couldn't get any better than they were in Black Balled and Guns Blazing and then Andrea and Eva sent me Hard Edit! Wow, this book was amazing. A true happy ending for a pair who didn't necessarily start out on the steadiest of ground. I loved every piece of this book and the emotions that it ripped from me. I laughed at the amazing banter between these two (and the inner dialogue that made this story even better) and cried as they attempted to figure out how to achieve true happiness with each other. What I got in the end was perfection.

Andrea Smith and Eva LeNoir are an amazing writing duo. I am excited to see what they bring us next! More Lloyd perhaps?!? hint hint ;)

I'm sitting here speechless. I first got introduced to the world of m/m fiction with the brilliant book, Black Balled, these two authors wrote. I eagerly waited for the sequel when I heard that there would be one. I received the ARC several weeks ago, but there it sat on my kindle waiting for a day when I had a block of time. You see, I knew when I opened it, I wouldn't close it until I'd finished it. That's how wicked good these authors are. And hard edit, well, I started it this morning and haven't done a thing since. Here's what I love about a book by these two: Their characters are so vivid and alive and on the page, they pull you into the story from word one, and I never know what direction they are going to take me, but I always know the writing will be amazing, rich with humor and wit, and the sex scenes beyond steamy--really where these two go with the spicy bits needs a new term because steamy doesn't do it.

Here's what makes them an extraordinary writing duo. The story line is your standard story--people in love going through that messiness of getting to that spot of forever, misunderstandings and conflicting personalities, reaching that point where they lower their walls and give themselves over to the hope of forever(A favorite theme of mine) AND YET, what they deliver(And every time I might add) is anything but the standard story line. They deliver the magic of exquisite characterizations, lively dialogue, and sheer brilliance...simply they create magic and in they pull you into the world of Troy and Larson and they keep you there until they say "The End".

There are really very few authors who can do that. This duo, together and separately, are on that list for me. An exceptional read and I cannot recommend it highly enough. A must read for 2016.
