Introduction - Life is a beautiful rose - lovely to behold and rich with a heady fragrance that delights and intoxicates. But all roses have thorns that can scratch us and cut us and make us bleed. Thorns are part of the rose, just as difficulties are part of life. We cry, we mourn, we suffer the unavoidable hardships that inevitably befall us. As a woman of God, when you are stuck by the thorns of life, you should turn to our Lord. He will walk with you through troubles and tragedies, hassles, and hardships. He will be there through the tears and the challenges, holding your hand and holding you up. He is constant and enduring in His love. He will help you in your time of need. Perhaps you are thinking that you are underserving of God's merciful kindness. Maybe you have sinned and feel ashamed and unworthy. My sisters, now more than ever I urge you to look to the Lord. You are His treasure, more precious than diamonds or emeralds, more valuable than all the riches in the world. And no matter how far you have fallen, He will pick you up and resotre you to purity. He knows the pain and guilt youa re feeling. He knows the sins that sully your heart..... This book is dedicated to all the women who have seen God's hand through prayer. Bishop Jake would like to dedicate this book to all the relentless women who have prayed up strength, prayed into blessings and prayed out of trouble. A must r

His Lady is a very inspirational book. The book entails how women should let their lives be guided by God.The author reveals in the book entitled “The lady that every woman has three primary relationships: the one with herself, the one with her husband, and the one with her Lord. Before she can reach a state of balance in life, she must have each of these relationships firmly grounded and running smoothly. A woman cannot establish a relationship with her husband until she has a good relationship with herself. She must feel like a lady in order to project those positive traits that will attract goodness into her life. This manual teaches a woman how to achieve a tranquil inner balance and project positive qualities. It teaches a woman how to create a balance between her three relationships. For women from all walks of life this book is inspiring. The book is a powerfully written self-help book that was passed down from my mother. The analogies are so vivid they will remain in the readers mind long after they finish reading the book. For example, the following statement is from early in the first chapter: "Sadly, sometimes we place ourselves so far on the back burner that the dreams boil out and leave only a parched pot where once we had personal expectation. When dreams boil out, a scorching heat of stress and anxiety causes the kettle to give a shrill sound before the burning begins. That shrill sound can be heard in our excesses and overindulgences..." I found that the writers tone was so heavy, powerful, moving and uplifting. The author captures the writer’s attention effectively. This book is by far my favorite book that I will recommend to all readers looking for a strong voice as well as self help. I have no suggestions for the writer, the writer is phenomenal in voice and all aspects of the literature. If I used this book to teach a lesson I would challenge students what they feel strongly about in their world. The author felt strongly about his views and I would challenge students to write strongly about their opinions and views. I would implement this writers style of passion in my writing craft.
Great devotional book written with women in mind. Issues of concern to women (such as pride, resentment, hopelessness) are arranged in alphabetical order with appropriate scripture & short inspirational messages by Bishop T. D. Jakes. I love this man of God! And I enjoyed seeing him pictured on the back cover -- with hair! Definitely a book to have on your nighttable or give as a gift.
A great little handbook or bible reference book for scriptures specific to the issues women face. Reading it through helped to fill my mind and heart with God's promises for me.
