I loved this series. It had my emotions all over the place. The love and sorrow he went through and watching others find their soul mates out me through the wringer. I had no clue what would happen from book to book much less how it would end. I had to read them all. One right after the other in one day. I couldn't wait to find out.
I won a KINDLE copy for all the books in this series from the author through The Romance Reviews 6th Anniversary Celebration, and the following is my honest opinion.
Once Isabel had laid her eyes on Sebastian, she knew he had to be hers for now and forever more, for decades and centuries to come. You see Isabel had been a vampire and nothing would stop her from making her determination come true. Once bitten by Isabel, a bite which wound up turning Sebastian into a vampire has well, his desire to be my her side became unstoppable, the mere smell of her presence drove Sebastian wild. Not only that; his already sexual prowess got heighten even more. No longer did he have to woo his desired victims to have sex with him, they’d now seem to want to do it willing and allow him to have his way with them. Little did these individuals realize it had been Sebastian’s mind-controlling thoughts that were forcing them to lose their virginity so willingly. The visual descriptions written by Ms. Travis of their erotic activities are quite vivid, vivid enough that some reader could find up wetting their own panties merely fantasizing they’re in Isabel’s shoes.
Isabel made had sure he would be taken care of should she ever fallen victim to the wrath of the local town people who were always eager to drive a wooden stake through the heart of any individual they believed had been a vampire, which had become her fate at the end of Book One.
Sebastian, as he moved through the centuries which passed around him alone, felt he’d more and more that he’ll never fall in love again [which reminded me a little of Dionne Warwick’s song “I’ll Never Fall in Love Again”.] Nor did he believe that he’ll ever find someone like Isabel again, someone whose mere presence would drive him so wild that nothing would stop him from making her his and his alone. And as we follow Sebastian through the next three books, something kept on coming up which prevented him from fulfilling his quest. Here, once again, Ms. Travis’s writing should fulfill a reader’s erotic desires when it comes to the erotic activities between Sebastian and the woman he’s with.
Book Five brings us and Sebastian to the present day and to Seattle, Washington, a place whose gloomy weather made him feel like he’s finally home. It is here that he encounters Bree, and the instant he sees her, his senses go haywire, and he feels that she’s the one he’s been searching for all these years. She has her own set of rules regarding the opposite sex, as does Sebastian. Yet both of their rules go out of the window when they’ll in each other’s presence. Sebastian vampire abilities of reading other people’s minds drives Bree crazy, since she can’t figure out how he knows all the things he does about her, and she can’t understand how he’s about to more around so quickly; one moment he’s in front of her and the next he’s behind her. Eventually Bree becomes a victim to his charms and desires to have him as her own as does Sebastian does regarding her.
As I read this final book of the Sebastian Chronicles, and realizing he’s found his soul mate for eternity, I couldn’t help but hear Etta James’s classic song “At Last” playing in my mind. And if you read the lyrics to this song, you might feel that it could actually belong to Sebastian, the way I do.
AT LAST My love has come along My lonely days are over And life is like a song
Oh yeah yeah At last
The skies above are blue My heart was wrapped up in clover The night I looked at you
I found a dream, that I could speak to A dream that I can call my own I found a thrill to press my cheek to A thrill that I have never known
Oh yeah yeah You smiled, you smiled Oh and then the spell was cast And here we are in heaven for you are mine...
At Last
For having her reader’s possibly reaching a climax of their own as they read these five stories, I can’t help but give Ms. Travis 5 STARS for her erotic endeavor here.
I was sucked in before the first chapter was finished, this was an amazing short read, that has left me wondering what could possibly happen in the next instalment of the Sebastian chronicles. T.L. Travis characters are superbly written, Isabel is a force to be reckoned with, Sebastian was fantastic, described as a finely chiseled Norse god. But does Isabel really love Sebastian? Is love really the right word, I need more of Sebastian.
My Servant, my lover -Book 2 in the Sebastian Chronicles My Servant, My Lover is the second instalment of the Sebastian Chronicles, another erotic short read, which is just as good as the first. I still find myself sucked in to Sebastian's story. I am saddened to know that his great love Isabel is gone, but excited to see where his undead life will lead him.
Wealthy Ménage -Book 3 in the Sebastian Chronicles Wealthy Ménage is the third instalment of the Sebastian Chronicles, and it is another fantastic erotic short read. We find Sebastian in the beautiful New Orleans, where he takes another lover Charlotte. Lorenzo has popped back up and is staying at Sebastian's plantation manor. I still find myself sucked in to Sebastian's story, yet I find myself wondering about where his life will take him, will he find another he loved as much as Isabel? I want more, but excited to see where his undead life will lead him next.
Prohibition Inhabitations -Book 4 in the Sebastian Chronicles Prohibition Inhabitations is the fourth instalment of the Sebastian Chronicles, and it is just as fantastic and erotic as the first three. We find Sebastian in Chicago in the 1920s some 200 plus years after his maker Isabel chose him for his exquisite skill set.
Lorenzo has popped back up and has brought Nadia to play with the clientele of his Lair. But like so many times before we see Sebastian tire of his life in Chicago only to move on to San Francisco and start up another club of of the wharf in a certain clientele in mind, but just as before Sebastian feels the need to move on, he is a self described loner. Will he ever find someone to love him the way Isabel did? Will he be able to love someone that way again? What will Seattle have that so many other places have not had... find out int the next instalment of The Sebastian Chronicles.
The Tryst- Book 5 in the Sebastian Chronicles The Tryst is the fifth and final instalment of the Sebastian Chronicles, it takes place in the present day and it is just as great as the stories that come before it. Has Sebastian found his one true immortal love in Bree? Only time will tell. I'm sad to see the end of Sebastian. No, no he doesn't die, just we leave him and it is a little sad, really who wants to leave a hunky vamp with sapphire eyes and the body of a Norse god!
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
Not for me. I listened to the audio version. The narrator was a first listen for me and was great with the different vocals of the many characters. Just too much sex for me.
Love vampire's. Love how they live for ever? Love how they take you for a ride? Love the love stories they share? Then you'll love this book. How he is turned, and all that happens to him threw the centuries will leave you wanting to keep reading till the end. Make no mistake this is a must read for all the vampire lover's.
I finished THE COMPLETE SEBASTIAN CHRONICLES with mixed feelings. I found Sebastian likable and his life as he travels through the centuries was interesting. He is a sexy as sin vampire with an insatiable sexual appetite, and the only thing he wants is that one person to give meaning to his existence. Take all of that and combine it with his manner and kindness toward those close to him, and it's impossible not to like Sebastian.
My mixed feelings come in with the other characters that Sebastian encounters throughout the centuries. Where we get plenty of information about our main character and what he thinks and feels about others, the rest of the characters are a bit one-dimensional. Granted, the stories aren't long enough for in-depth development, but that lack of dimension makes it hard to find a connection to the character or what is happening in the story, especially the relationships.
The book is erotic and covers everything from vanilla male/female encounters to male/male, BDSM, and menage, but that lack of connection branches over into these parts as well. The various scenes felt almost perfunctory and at times became repetitive. All the elements are there, but it felt as if the characters are going through the motions without really feeling anything, and a few of the scenes were almost interchangeable with others in the story.
In the end, my interest in Sebastian along with a steady pace to the story did keep me reading, but with a somewhat abrupt conclusion to the fifth book and a less than desirable emotional connection, I was left with a middle of the road feeling about the book as a whole.
Travis pens great stories in The Sebastian Chronicles, as they are a series of novelettes. I always enjoy a story by this author, and I do think (at least right now) that this is my favorite. I find Sebastian interesting and very intriguing. Travis always tells a good story, and this is definitely a remarkable conception of inception. The story brings in the believable, even if almost impossible. Sebastian's memories are filled with ups and downs, heart breaks, aches and fulfillment. It is always a joy to read this author's stories. This author is not just a writer but a great storyteller. I am a fan of Travis's work, as the plot that contains eroticism, is written well, and not every author can pull that off. This is a mix of vampiric paranormal and erotic, and grand story telling. Fate can be an interesting anomaly. I look forward to reading more by this author. This book is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews.
Sebastian has a bad reputation around town. He sleeps with women whose husbands cannot satisfy them. After he is caught fulfilling one of his regular clients, her husband chases him from their home, vowing to kill him. Before the enraged cuckold has the chance, however, an alluring female named Isabel beats him to the punch. At first, Sebastian is angry when he finds out that Isabel is more than an ordinary woman. But, he quickly adapts to his new life as a vampire and has trysts with many men and women who are close to him. Sebastian goes on a sexual odyssey through the centuries, which leaves the reader hot and bothered. The narrative reminds me of classic, epic poetry. Those looking to quench their insatiable thirst need to read The Sebastian Chronicles.
I ended up listening to this series and I am so happy I did. The book is broken down into different parts and shows Sebastian from the time that he was turned to the present. We are introduced to several characters over the years like Lorenzo. The pair manage to find each other several times over the years. But they are not fated for each other. I found that I was drawn to all the characters as Sebastian moved throughout the world. But never finding his place until the last book. I wasn’t wrong when I said that TL Travis can write anything, and this book just shows that. We need a little more from Sebastian.
This is the journey of Sebastian. He was turned in 1692, this began his immortal life. This is filled with sexual exploits in many different combinations. Relationships with woman and men. Until he finds his soulmate. This explores his most meaningful encounters. This is basically the series in one book. Grab a nice cool drink and settle in for a wild ride. I enjoyed this book so much. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO THE VAMPIRE LOVERS!!!!!

The Sebastian Chronicles By: TL Travis Narrated by: Lance Isley Series: The Sebastian Chronicles Series, Book 1-5 Length: 5 hrs and 25 mins
❤❤❤❤ Overall 🎧🎧🎧🎧 Narration 📚📚📚📚 Story Read at 1.15 speed on Audible.
This 5 part audible was completely different to what I've ever read. The first story starts when Sebastian is bitten and turned into a vampire in 1692.
The short stories that follow are set in different centuries until the present day. Its a mixture of MF, MM, MF/MM, MF/MM/MFM, MF/MM/MFM/MMF/BDSM, MM. Basically something for everyone. We also leap from France, England, Italy and over to America.
Sebastian is looking for his soul mate, he thought Isobel was his true love but over the decades he keeps looking. We live through Sebastian's hunt for the perfect lover, he doesn't care if its male or female, he just wants someone who is compatible and feels the same. An HEA.
The settings are so realistic you feel like you are there. I loved the narration. each character had its own accent and personality even the American ones toward the end. I liked how time moved forward and we saw how lonely Sebastian got. If you like a very erotic vampire story this is for you
