Rebecca ROyce has once again managed to put us into a world of beauty, darkness and many secrets. I love how the author always manages to pull us into her world and then push us down the deep end of the abyss and leave us hanging only to pull us back up and tuck us into our comfy couch leaving us with a book high that lasts for days. What can i say....A must read book that will hook you into its pages and won't let you go!
As if Kendall doesn’t have enough of her plate, even more gets tossed at her in Phoenix Everlasting. After finally remembering who she was and everything that had happened to her previously, she’s now got so many balls up in the air it’s a wonder she doesn’t drop them. She’s got a quest for a missing antiquity, two men, homework, children’s powers, and of course the evil trying to infest the world. I continue to be astounded by the world and mythos that Rebecca Royce has created. It has all the elements needed to suck you into the story and immerse you into her world. There’s romance, tension, darkness, the fight between good vs. evil. Everything juicy that you could want in a great paranormal book. I could not put this book down. It kept me hooked from the very beginning and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
If you like the spooky and the paranormal this is definitely a series to check out. There’s a ton of heart-pounding action, humor, and even heart. I love that Kendall is the star of the show. It’s about her, her struggles, her victories rather than focusing on the love triangle that has emerged. Although, don’t get me wrong I love the tension of the love dilemma that she’s got going on. I’m seriously kicking myself that I haven’t stumbled upon her earlier. If you’re new to Royce, I think this is a great place to get started (after all its where I did!).

Phoenix Everlasting: An Urban Fantasy Romance Series (The Cascade Book 2) Kindle Edition by Rebecca Royce I borrowed this book via the Kindle Unlimited program and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
We join Kendall right after the end of Haunted Redemption, the first of The Cascade. Her life, both with ghosts and without, is only growing more complicated. Levi, her ex-husband who left he when her psychic powers revealed themselves, wants to get back together. Malcolm, the love her life since she was nine, wants to be with her forever, starting right now. And there seems to be a hellmouth in her city. What else could go wrong?
The story is tight and fun. My only complaint is the fight against the big bad kind of happens off screen. That was frustrating with all the build up over the very gladiator-ness over it.
Other than that, it is a near perfect story, with a real grown up woman who has to live with her previous choices and the results of the new choices she is making.
A demon invades Malcolm's date at Victoria's party for her new born son. After ripping it out of her, Kendall ignores Malcolm and turns her attention to the problem at hand. What is the Phoenix and how do they get it back? Kendall is obviously going to remain conflicted between her emotions and what must be. Her ex-husband wants to come back and Malcolm really wants things the way they used to be between them. There is a lot of emotion in this book as Kendall traces her steps from the past. She has to remember it all and as she does it leads to an interesting encounter with airport security. Shadows turn up in the most unexpected places, and the group faces more and more challenges to their strength. All as they find the answers about surrounding the Phoenix. I can't wait for the next and final episode!
I'm really enjoying this series. Kendall is one BA mom, even if she feels like she's failing sometimes. Don't we all. She's determined to do whatever it takes to keep those she loves safe though. In this book she learns more about her past, deals with some pressing romantic issues of her present and we get a tiny look of what's to come in the future. The ending of this one, I'm just glad the next book is already out so I don't have to wait!!!!!
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily decided to review it
Another great book by Rebecca Royce, the second in the cascade series. I loved this even more than the first book, Kendall trying to balance her family life and that of her paranormal life
I cannot wait to read the next one, Rebecca Royce is a fantastic writer and I highly recommend this book
I enjoyed this one even more than the first. Kendall is still trying to decide what to do about Levi and Malcolm while also dealing with all of her kids having special abilities. Still loving the mom issues because we never get to see them in these types of books. She is a better mc because of the kids. The ending was killer so i need to read the next book now.
I absolutely adore Rebecca Royce and this is one of my favourites of hers! I love how she uses a “normal” female lead, a wife and a mother who not only battles the sup but also day to day problems too. This series has a great storyline with strong characters I’m loving it!
As if dying wasn't bad enough, now her kids have powers that are controllable/uncontrollable and her ex just doesn't let up on his desire to have her back in his life full time and her boyfriend/lover has her tied in multiple ways.
I received this ebook from the author in exchange for an honest review. In this book Kendall must choose: rekindle her relationship with Levi, her sweet ex husband and father of her childrens, or with Malcolm, the love of her other life? I agree with her choice. I always thought that the reason why her memories were removed was bullshit. But I also agree that when you are young and in a relationship with a carismatic partner, you can fade in him. I believe that Kendall is a better person, a better leader, because of Levi and their children. Fantastic writing with minor edit errors. The creepy factor isn't so strong in this one, so... 4.5 stars
The battle between Top Hat and the Others may be over for now but we ended on another cliffhanger. I still want to shake Kendall frequently in this book. Not so much the loving two men at once thing since book one explained that fairly well. This time it's the whole stubborn "me and my powers aren't good enough" thing. I laughed when Victoria called her out on it. I cried at the fact that Kendall's mom is fading in a form of Alzheimer's, was in shock at the action of Raphael and still am annoyed at Michael and Gabriel. The way Molly is blossoming in her gifts was wonderful, my heart broke for Dex and his vision, the way Grayson is growing was nice as well. Even Levi impressed me some with how he's grown despite his lack of talent. The team is coming together and I'm hoping Chase figures out where the four remaining members are and how to get their memories back. It's a good book overall. I wonder when book three comes out.

Phoenix Everlasting The Cascade Book 2 by Rebecca Royce ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is a wonderful story to read, I couldn't stop reading once I started it, I must say that it will take you on an amazing emotional rollercoaster ride with plenty of action packed drama. I became so engrossed with this story from the first paragraph, I enjoyed the action adventure, good over evil and of course the characters are intriguing, strong, realistic. I am so excited to be reading the second book about Kendall and her family. I can picture this happening to a family that's gifted. The chemistry and pull between Kendall, Malcolm and Levi is well done and leaves you craving more. Rebecca Royce keeps you right on the edge without boring you and really builds her characters so they have wonderful depth. Their attraction and relationship isn't forced for the sake of the story. The supporting characters even adds a lot to the story as well. I'd recommend The Cascade Series to anyone who likes a strong and likable heroine and a fantastic interesting story. I received a ARC of this book without obligation. I voluntarily reviewed this book, because I love sharing my thoughts with my fellow readers.
Madison and her very tangled life is back! Levi is still trying to get back into her good graces, Mal is temptation personified and her kids...well they all have their own gifts manifesting now and Madison isn't sure if she likes the fact that her children are just like her!!!
As more of gangs past unravels we see how they were trained by Michael et al and try to understand just what they were being trained for. A quick trip to the town where she reappeared, the mystery just grows and now she is babysitting some artefact that seems to be a resurrection totem! Madison's woes continues when she realises all is not well with her mum.
This is a brilliantly written and witty world. Nothing runs smoothly for our intrepid heroine and she does seem genuinely torn by the men in her life. I was almost heartsick at one point where little Jack was targeted but it really highlighted the threat they were all living under. Can't wait to see what develops next.
Go #TeamMalcolm!
I read an advanced reader copy and voluntarily leave this review.
Really loving this series. There drama, suspense, mystery, humor and so much more. Everything you need to keep your attention from beginning to end. I would suggest you read the first book in the series due to all the backstory. I can't wait to see what's coming next in the series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC I haven't been compensated in any way.
Was I one happy camper when I got to get into this one from this series. Especially since I find this one very refreshing as stories goes too. The further along it gets the more different I find it which gets me excited because I have been reading paranormal for many years. Kendall is one intriguing character with me being a brat on who I would like to see her with lol. In this one we get more of what is going on with some things answered but then some more questions. Things that do become clearer also become more drama filled making a reader's heart race at times with what happens or doesn't for that matter. Malcolm and Levi are still on either side of her but that too will become a bit clearer but more emotional for us the reader. Wow what about those Shadows with Wow what about those guys with the angels names. Alas I am deeply involved now in this series and must wait patiently for more.
Everyone's favorite Mon with the worlds oddest job ever known is back and in it up to her ears! Kendall returns, still trying to balance her two worlds (a normal family life and paranormal fighting extraordinaire), and trying to determine where the men she loves fit in (either one, both, neither). The imminence of the Cascades is closing in and memories reveal a long-forgotten artifact given when she came back at 12, too bad there does not seem to be an instruction manual! Well written and highly creative story told with humor, longing and a little steam. The triangle between Kendall, Levi, and Malcolm really highlight the differences in the two worlds Kendall tries to juggle along with the confusion and mixed feeling she harbors for both men make her a lovable mess I will continue to root for. **I voluntarily chose to review a copy of this book and I have not been compensated in any way**
I read this book straight through today. Awesome storyline. Wonderful characters. We get to see more of the "angel" trainers who took the dying kids souls and trained them to defeat the ghosts, demons, and shadows. Some big issues got resolved and some new issues emerged. There was a horrible cliffhanger at the end. Thankfully the end of the book included the first chapter of book 3 so we readers were not left hanging. That would have royally ticked me off. Just saying. I love, love, love this series. Why? Because of the storyline. We get an involved plot that fast tracks us through the book. There is a romance, but it is flawlessly weaved around the story. I much prefer this to a heavy romance with just a little plot holding it together. I cannot wait for book 3.
I love this series. It has so many surprises that you don't see coming. Kendall tries so hard to do the right thing for her family and friends that she often doesn't do what is best for herself. She still loves her ex-husband but she also loves her former lover. Her kids are struggling with their powers and she and her those she loves are all in danger.
I feel like I really connected with Kendall in the first book but that she was a little more true to herself in this one. She is starting to realize her strengths and being more honest with herself. There is a lot of suspense in this one as the battle looms and you wonder what is next for them all. There are no easy choices but they do the best they can. I look forward to reading more about the characters.
Kendall is a single mom with super natural powers and so does her 3 kids. Now that her ex knows she is not nuts and there really are other things in the world he wants her back BUT so does Malcolm and he has loved her for a lifetime. He has also never let her down. Their job is to find the phoenix keep it from the shadow and find out what it does then fight them all while staying alive. Can it be done? Who will Kendall end up with and can she keep her kids safe? This is truly awesome it has action with in depth characters that are fantastic then add the drama and spice. This is one of my favorite series! I am hooked paranormal fans you will love this one. Voluntary reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.
Love this series! Kendall and crew are back and WOW just WOW! Kendall's ex Levi still wants her back, Malcolm is still the love of her life, her kids are still awesome. The Shadows are still there also and growing in strength and now they want to fight Malcolm passing the message through her. Oh lets not forget about the Phoenix but what and where is it?
This author knows how to tell a paranormal story! The characters just got better in this book and I expect them to get even better in the next. The reader may think they know what will happen next but then you realize you really don't. And the heat between Kendall and Malcolm, have a fan ready! I can't wait to find out what happens next!!
Phoenix Everlasting by Rebecca Royce is book two in " The Cascade " series and is not a stand-alone. Please read Haunted Redemption first. Kendall Madison is an exorcist. She fights against ghosts, demons and herself. Should she pick her ex-husband Levi, who never believed in her; or Malcolm her one true love. Malcolm´s main issue: "I don´t do kids." Which man will she pick? And what about the epic battle with a shadow ? This book ends with a cliffhanger. There will be a book three: Fragility Unearthed- Cascade 3 . I really , really liked this next installment and give 4 Stars. Thank you Rebecca Royce.
I would like to thank the Author for gifting me this book in exchange for an honest review.
This series just gets better and better. This book drew me in and I couldn’t put it down. I have to say that some of the things that came in I honestly did not see coming. I love when a book keeps me on my toes.
This book explained a lot of what happened in the first book, which I recommend you read before this one. It’s really not one that you can pick up and just read without reading them in order.
Great book! I love the characters…. Even the ex-husband! I love the romance! This book has it all and keeps you in suspense!
The Cascade series follows Kendall Madison Full time Mum of three and part time demon hunter. Her young family are starting to show signs of hidden talents. In between school runs and organising packed lunches Kendall life is a constant whirlwind of chaos and mayhem.
Book 2 - starts off with a bang, diving straight into the action, the fast paced highly addictive storyline keeps you on the edge of your seat all the way though... Wow what an ending Now i really need book 3 !!
I voluntarily read & reviewed this Advance Reader Copy.
OH HOLY HELL! Warning there is a HUGE cliffhanger with this one! But oh what a journey to that point. This book was so much better than the first in the series. Things kept happening to keep me guessing and again I went WOW did not see that one coming. More of what has happened in the past came out in this book and made more sense. By time I got to the end, I was ready for book 3 (which I hope comes out soon). Kendall, Malcom and Levi all work out where their place is in each others lives, or ... well do they?
Book 2 in the CASCADE series is amazing. We pick up where book 1 left off and let me tell you, you won't want to stop reading this story once you start. We get a sneak peak at the beginning of book 3 so you are not left hanging in the end. The story is very well explained as things are happening so you won't feel lost while reading. I recommend reading book 1 first so you are familiar with everyone and their gifts. I am voluntarily reviewing this book which was given to me with no obligation to do so.
Kendall Madison is still adjusting to the changes her crazy life and her new-found memories. She is torn between her ex-husband and her soul-mate Malcolm. As the end may be getting closer and closer, she must find her inner-strength so they can come out on top. I loved the second part in this story. I loved seeing Kendall accept how powerful she was meant to be. I also loved how her children were adjusting. The story really pulled me in just as much as the first one did. I can’t wait to read the rest. **I voluntarily read and reviewed this book
Phoenix Everlasting is book two in The Cascades Series. Rebecca is a master at her art and she never disappoints. Book two picks up from where book one left off and I guarantee you that you won't be able to put it down. The story progresses well and answers a few questions from the past. Great story with action, confrontations, mystery and romance. So can't wait for book three to see how Kendll, Malcolm and Levi end up.
