Can The Alpha Vampire Really Have A Beta Vampire As His Soulmate?
Everett Schwartz is a vampire that always thought that he would be alone. He never believed for a second that there was somebody out there that could take away that feeling of not having somebody in his life. He had weaned himself from that need for blood, but he was still struggling from time to time with that feeling that came over him in the blink of an eye. He was drawn to a magic act in a hotel that had stood up to the test of time.
Andy Ballard is a beta vampire and he sees the experience of an Alpha in Everett’s eyes. They both struggle to find their place no more than Everett. He has always felt abandoned and now that he has been welcomed into the fold it feels that he has found something that he never thought he would. They both have different views about what being a vampire is all about, but they are inexplicably drawn by a magnetic force that is making it almost impossible to stay away from one another.
This will lead to complications and the need to keep vigil over what will be a tumultuous time for this family dynamic. There will be unforeseen circumstances and players on the board that they have never seen before. Some of them will be familiar and others will be enemies claiming to be Allies.
Can they find their happiness together or is being a family a smokescreen that will lead them to live like animals with no semblance of togetherness?
Everett has found his dream, but is it destined to become a nightmare?
This Is The Updated Extended Version Of The Top Selling Book Vampire's Baby By Van Cole
I sometimes wonder if English is the author's primary language or if he (she?) is using a thesaurus to find multi-syllable words in an attempt to make the story appear intelligible. I've read three (3) different stories by this author and really wanted to like them. But alas, I can't seem to get beyond the lack of editing and poor grammar.
I wasn't the right audience for this book, never mind the fact that I love vampire books and gay romance. The writing isn't fluid, the plot is severaly ill developed, we had instalove and, to top everything, some very unbelievable moments - and I'm not talking about the MPREG deal, which was interesting to read about. I'm seriously thinking of giving up on this author... We are not compatible together.
