Smart and sexy Elise Donovan has made a career of fixing things. With a reputation for being the best in the business, her team is often pulled into front page headlines that need to be handled. After being away for six weeks attempting to repair a company just coming through a hostile takeover, time with her team at a luxury retreat is all she wants right now. It’s no secret Reid Beckett is a serial player who only plays by the rules in business. At a retreat to announce the merger with his best friend’s company, his inability to stay away from the spunky brunette who is soon to be his employee has him questioning if rules really are made to be broken. Vying for leverage Elise and Reid find themselves battling over who runs things in the boardroom and in the bedroom. Struggling to relinquish power for trust in their relationship, will they be able to leave the rules behind to find their Sunday loves?
KJ is a novelist, hot tamale-addict, and an abolisher of grammar. When not writing, you can find her reading at the beach, exploring New York City, or hanging out in her hometown of Memphis, TN. She started hitting Amazon's top 100 lists with her first novel, Taylor Made, in 2016. She is currently working on the next installment in the Sunday Love Series.
Took me awhile to get use to Elise. I'm all for the strong, take no shit, ball busting woman, but Elise was a tad too much. That being said she gave as good as she got. I was slightly perturbed with her relationship with Theo. As for Reid, he was the right amount of tough, no nonsense asshole. A good, solid read.
I fell in love with this author and their series Taylor Made. Now this is in the same world as Taylor Made and we have new characters- this is Reid Beckett & Elise Donovan’s story. This is an emotional story that weaves these two people together with edge of your seat results. It is hot, electric and addictive results. Elise Donovan is known as a “fixer”. She is brought in to handle delicate messes for politicians, musicians, CEOs, --she is the best yet she has a huge heart. She has a team and best friends that no one can come between. On a plane ride home, she meets this handsome man who is changes her life –forever. Reid Beckett is a BOSS, the boss. He’s a go-getter and he gets whatever he wants. What he wants is Elise. They met on a flight and he is very much intrigued by her. He is baffled over the fact that he has all these strong and crazy feelings over a woman he just met. Elise and Reid crossed paths for a reason. The reasons aren’t immediately made clear but as the story plays out, we are given hints. There are many twists and turns, up and downs to this story. Tissues are needed. Hearts will break and will be mended, danger is clear and present at times and hearts pound in fear and in delight…I loved the sexual tension between Elise and Reed. This was such an awesome romance between two people who really clicked. I also loved the secondary characters that were featured –they showed what true friends were. I also have to give props were they are due and I was super excited to see Graham and Emme in this book. It was soo good to see them make a brief appearance. I look forward to seeing this cast of characters making an appearance again real soon.
My rating: 4.9 stars **** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
I don't want to be crude but, less than 50 pages, and he already has his thing inside of her? What do you call that? Lack creativity on the author's side? I don't know. Everything is so rushed that I'm having a whiplash.
Gah. I'm not in the mood for rushed sexual relationship between main characters. I need something slow burn, something that isn't shallow, where the relationship isn't solely based on basic sexual attraction. I need something more than that. So I'm putting this one on hold.
Crushed it Nailed it Hit it out the ball park GOOD
This book was just AHHHHH I can't even begin to explain how amazing this book was!!!! You know you come across people, things, places and books in certain times in your life and you think WOW! How can this come at the exact same time I needed this! Well this happened with this book. I love how their relationship grew in such a short time at first. When you know you know! You know? Lol I could not get enough when he called her Dove omggggg I wish she knew why or she probably does now lol. Ryan was sooooooo mean idk words may not leave physical scars but they leave eternity scars that we will always remember. I know it is hard to balance emotions and how to deal with stressful situations but oh my gosh his words cut deep. AND THEN REID!!!!!! He soooo dropped the ball I couldn't even read on I was FUMING! Then he goes and is being so adorable with Graham and Adam ughhh HOW CAN YOU STAY MAD! When you just want to climb on top of them and snuggles wink wink. Ahaha. The two weeks CUT ME

This was a new author to me and I have absolutely no idea why. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was well written, the characters were smart, sassy and at time a hoot; I loved the underlying friendships that were shown throughout the book with the secondary characters.
This is the story of ultra successful Reid Beckett, a player, a man known for going after what or who he wants and succeeding. He is also the man who is about to take controlling interest in the company that Elise Donovan works in. Elise is phenomenal at her job and has made a career out of fixing things.
What happens when two dynamic personalities meet and lines between personal and professional become are not only blurred but bent?
Neither Reid or Elise are used to backing down, so who will win the battle in and out of the boardroom? I love how independent, feisty and strong Elise was, she gave no quarter and it was great to see Reid reacting to this.
This was not a straightforward book, at times dealing with gripping issues which were handled with compassion and respect. The chemistry between Reid and Elise was hot and spicy and the humour at times led to some laugh out loud moments.
I now want to play drunk Jenga. I do hope that there will be more books about these wonderful characters and their friends and I will be looking into Ms. Lewis's other books.
Such a great read! This is tied in with KJ's other 2 books, Taylor Made and Taylored to Perfection but can be read as a standalone. I loved Elise's and Reid's story! Such intense chemistry!! I just love a good office romance!! It will have you laughing one minute then crying and mad the next!!
My absolute favorite line from the book-
"Reid is your Sunday love. Not Theo.” “Sunday love?” “You know, the person you want to make love to on Saturday night but instead of sending them home you want them to stay. To work Times crossword puzzles with on a Sunday morning. The one you want to make waffles with, stay in bed all day and read with. A Sunday love.”
I loved the updates from the Emme and Graham from the previous books! I'm pretty sure with the way this ends that we'll be hearing more from this group!! Count me in!!
I received an early copy and I voluntarily left my honest review.
Last year when this author wrote her first book I became an instant fan. Taylor Made had everything that was looking for and Taylored To Perfection showed this author's ability to weave a story that not only keeps you on the Edge of your seat, but also lets you connect with the characters on a deeper level. I was so excited when I saw the description of this book and knew I HAD to read it!
Elise is a ball buster!!! I love how she wasn't this weak minded heroine that couldn't think or act for her self. She has this passion when it comes to her job and her life. Not only is she super intelligent but she's determined to do what she has to not only in her job, but in her life.
Reid is...... hard to explain. I loved his character and how he carried him self. He has this aura around him but is is also dominant yet sweet. He doesn't sugarcoat things but he is respectful. Reid is a picture perfect hero even when he makes you want to slap him.
I loved all the secondary characters. They all had amazing rolls in this story, but Theo is by far my favorite. Theo was her boss and best friend. But in was more then that, there was a deep connection between Elise and Theo.
One thing that I really love about this author is how she puts her heroines in such unique employment roles. It's fun getting to learn about these jobs and with the way the author has it, I was able to learn and be very interested in this line of work.
I could go on and on and list everything I loved about this book, but..... then I would tell you everything. The writing was outstanding, the characters love able and easy to connect to, and the plot was real.
This is this authors 3rd book, but you would think she has a lot more under her belt, because she has a way of writing story that are not only fun, but real and easy to relate to, flawless flow, spitfire heroines, and hunky Heros. I personally can't wait to see what more is to come!
Sunday Love is the type of story that won't leave you alone. There are touchy subject matters and I truly felt the author did her research and showed the upmost respect for the subject. You will laugh, you will cry, but above all, you will understand.
Sunday Love is thought provoking and with a gripping plot, fascinating characters, endless humor, an attraction to steam up mind, and twists and turns will leave you guessing. You will find everything you need in the pages of this story.
Sunday Love was a fun and emotional read for me. KJ Lewis is a new author to me. After reading Sunday Love, I will definitely be checking out her other books. I really liked how this story was in dual POVs. I loved being able to read from both Reid's and Elise's point of views. These characters have become some of my favorites. They gave me so many laugh out loud and awe moments.
I loved and adored Elise so much. She was a character anyone could relate to easily. It was very easy for me to be able to connect with her. Elise has learned to control her facial expressions. When she is working, she is so strong and just appears mean. She lets them have it. Elise is a fixer. She fixes anything and everything that her clients need. Some situations are very tough. Then, when she isn't working, I got to see her soft and spunky side. Her relationship with her team was so sweet and so hilarious. They are her family, and she loves them with everything she has. But together, they were crazy!!! All the games they played and the conversations they had me laughing so much. I just really loved how strong she turned out to be even though she faced many traumatic experiences while growing up. Elise appears heartless, but she isn't. She is full of heart and everyone she loves has a place in her heart.
Reid was a fine looking specimen. He didn't do commitments and didn't want one until he met Elise. She was everything he didn't know he wanted until he met her. He was truly lonely until she came in the picture. Boy, did this man make mistake after mistake with Elise. He was so jealous over Theo. And Theo has been married to his husband Ross for a while. I really did want to knock some since into him. Reid really got on my nerves when he kept bringing her relationship with Theo up. But he did love her fiercely and I can't fault him on that. He was always there when and if she needed him. And I admit, she did need to start going to Reid instead of Theo!!
As I mentioned up above, I love Elsie's relationship with her team. They all pretty much knew everything about each other or at least they thought they did. When playing games, new stories would pop out. But other than me loving her relationship with her team, I adored her relationship with Theo. Their relationship was probably my favorite. They have been together since she was years old. They really did know everything about each other. Theo was there when she was going through the traumatic experiences that she faced. Theo and Elise were very affectionate towards each other, and Reid would get so jealous over it. I really wanted to slap him at times. He often made a big deal out of it and kept bringing it up. I understand he wanted her whole heart, and he did have her whole heart, but he needed to understand that she loved others as well. When Elise and Reid weren't fighting over this, I did love their relationship as well. I just wish I could have seen more of their relationship grow and develop. It was mostly based on sex and then a couple days after, Reid already loved her. So it was insta-love.
The only little issue I had with this book was the flow. I had trouble following along a few times and had to keep rereading a few parts. It would jump from one event to another without any spaces separating the paragraphs. It just didn't flow smoothly into the next one. One minute they are planning to go somewhere then the next they were already there. I kept thinking what just happened here. That happened a few times during the story.
Sunday Love was a great read that I really did enjoy. I really did like this book. I am hoping that some of these characters I get to see again down the road. Loved Blake! Wouldn't mind seeing more of him! Have the tissues ready for this book! I had a huge bawl fest at the end of this one. Also cried several times during it as well. Lots and lots of tissues!
What A Book!!! I can't put into words how much I loved this book, the storyline, the characters....especially the characters!!! This book had me laughing from the beginning to the very end. These so very well developed characters took on a life of their own in this romantic comedy that had you giggling with their quick and quirky wit, but also had you falling in love with each and every one of them for their own unique personalities. Elise is one woman that I wish I were more like. She's confident in her abilities, she's fierce in her love for her friends, and is so very strong of mind. Add to that, she's a survivor....not a victim! Reid is one tough alpha male who wants things done his way and doesn't understand how this woman runs her team, but he watches and slowly begins to understand that it's HER that they follow. He was a player until he set his eyes on the stunning Elise and got to witness her abilities first hand, although his alpha came out, trying to protect her. She doesn't want his protection, she just wants him! He doesn't understand her relationship with Theo, her best-friend since they were 5, who is also a friend of his, and this misunderstanding of their bond could lead to the demise of their budding relationship. There are some heartbreaking moments in this book, but with this team, they are there for each other one hundred percent and know when to step in, step back and when to lighten a cloudy mood. They are a wonderful bunch of caring friends and co-workers and care deeply for each other. That leaves Reid to find his way into this tight knit group, so he watches and listens, learning all he can about his soon to be new employees.
You will absolutely love this book, the story and the characters. Caution as Elise's survivor story may be a trigger for some, but her handling of her situation may give some strength. Brilliantly written romantic comedy that I highly recommend to everyone.
I liked Elise. She was kind and strong in her beliefs. She created a welcoming work environment and really knew her team. I did not like Reid. The men were generally very chauvinistic. They talked about giving Elise away and it was very overbearing. Reid was controlling, demanding and it was very unsexy. He threatened to fire her if she didn't obey him, which is exactly the kind of issue that comes with dating your boss. How are they supposed to be equals with that kind of power imbalance. How dare he be THAT much of an asshole.
The relationship was very rushed, with Reid saying I love you after knowing her for 5 days, which is a little (lot) ridiculous. He didn't know her as a person or her family and it really showed. The plot points seemed to drive home how incompatible they were and how ridiculous it was that they were together.
There is not much foreplay between MCs. He's just sticking it straight in and it would take you out of the moment. The focus seemed to be on how much they could bang and very little on the plot or character development. Upon finishing, I still have no idea what job the characters actually do as most of the book is spent describing the interactions between staff while they're eating or drinking. This is a shame because, from the little information we do get, it sounds like their job is really fun. I wanted to know more about daily work life and how they completed tasks, but it was the characters flying around and brief mentions of a case before telling the reader it was handled a few chapters later.
This book was a bit of a nightmare. I didn't want the main characters to end up together and that's a big problem for a romance. I was frustrated throughout and should've stopped reading. I will never get that time back.

This book was just totally amazing and if I could give it more than 5 stars I would! It’s one of those books that when you finish reading it you just find yourself smiling. I have not read anything by this author before but I am definitely going to go and find her first two books now! There is just so much to love about this book – first it has an amazing set of characters! Elise was by far my favourite heroine in a story ever! She was brilliant! I loved her feisty attitude and to be honest I’m still not 100% sure what her job is but she’s amazing at whatever it is she does! Then there’s Reid – oh he’s a dreamy one! It takes a while to warm up to his character but for me that made him all the more exciting!! The last character who needs a mention is Theo! Everyone’s favourite gay BFF! I would totally love him as my BFF!! His character was great and he really was protective of Elise and as the story progresses it becomes clearer as to why he is so protective of her. These three are supported by a brilliant set of secondary characters who really help make the story as fantastic as it is! There are also a few emotional moments in the story that make you stop and think and there are also some sensitive subjects talked about but they author wrote about these brilliantly and respectfully. Overall I have to say (and I know its only March!) but this book is by far my favourite read of 2017 and I have a feeling it’s going to remain in my top 5 for this year! I cannot wait to read more of this authors work!
Sexy Funny RomCom - Sunday Love is definitely my kind of book! Sunday Love is very well written with characters that you can not only relate to, but they grab ahold of your heartstrings and just won’t let go. The characters are funny, the dialog and banner between Elise and her team are crazy funny and you can just feel the love and connection between them all especially when the chips are down.
But Elise and Reid - just WOW. Elise is a strong woman that is warm, funny, has a heart of gold yet boy can she be a pitbull. She will have you laughing and at the same time wanting to just pull her in and give her a well deserved hug. She has been through a lot but is the epitome of a survivor. Reid is a sexy, rich, powerful businessman, that is fixing to become Elise’s new boss. He has no time for relationships or attachments, and never with his staff. But when he meets Elise he may just have to make an exception to the no sleeping with the staff rule. These two have an instant chemistry that will have you laughing one minute, wanting to bop them over the head the next and when they are behind close doors => HOT HOT HOT ( and me I say doors, I don’t just mean bedroom doors - lol.
2 Thumbs up and I highly recommend Sunday Love. I also hope the author has plans for more books to come involving this zany cast of characters.
3.5 ⭐️ Ok, normally I’ve rather enjoyed KJ’s books and characters and I mostly enjoyed this book, but Reid did a few things that just annoyed me to no end.
Elise’s character was pretty sound, although I’d be amazed if she actually had no jealous bone. The one true scene for her to show some sort of jealousy or possessiveness, it didn’t happen and I think this added to Reid’s issues. Because she didn’t react to the other girl he felt like she was still choosing Theo over him.
As for Reid, he had the Alpha Ahole down but still couldn’t learn how to give Elise control at what she was best at. He really did have trust issues. As for the final showdown, I felt he didn’t do enough to win her back. I mean he really stuffed up and just saying sorry and ‘you’re mine’ don’t quite cut it for me. For a man that didn’t show his employees much praise or emotions he was quick to anger and brush of Elise when she needed him.
However, the in between was brilliant, I loved the dynamic between all the other side characters. Gabby was hilarious, Blake was exactly what I thought he’d be, Theo was a gem and Ryan’s issues provided the emotion behind the book.
A smart, intelligent read which was nothing like I expected. It’s a fast paced book, involving a hefty dose of insta-love, but the book has a lot to get through.
Elise Donovan is a fixer. She fixes problems for people, from celebrities to politicians. She’s an all-around good egg; brilliant at her job, an excellent cook, loved by everyone she comes into contact with. I wanted to hate her, but I didn’t. She’s as Alpha as they come.
Reid Beckett is about to become her new boss, as well as her lover. Another spectacularly Alpha character, when these two get together, the battles are fierce and the sex is hot.
The storyline assumes that you have a certain level of knowledge about the way American business and politics works (which I don’t) and there were times I had to go over what I’d read again. But these are characters that always play to win and in the end you get the gist of what the author’s trying to say purely by knowing how characters react.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I’m quietly impressed. I shall look out for more of her books.
Just a quick word. I Loved this book !! Sunday Love by KJ Lewis is a wonderful read.
Meet Elise Donovan and Theo Jacob. They are friends since kindergarden. They "get" each other. They are working together in Jacob´s company. Now Jacob wants to sell parts of it to his college buddy Reid Beckett. Reid Beckett is a bit a mystery man, full of contradictions. He wants Elise- but doesn´t do employees. He wants the problems solved but not by her. He wants to wrap her in bubblewrap. Elise is pretty levelheaded about it. I really admired her for this. They fight and make up. They fight again and make up. Reid is her Sunday Love. To understand this you have to read the book, sorry not sorry. But he really messes up and the question is , is their love strong enough? I laughed, I cried, I sat at the edge of my chair reading it and I hurt with the characters. I loved this book so hard. 5 Stars and Thank you K.J. Lewis !!
KJ Lewis does it again! She has given us a brand new series with brand new characters that has me hooked and wanting more ASAP! Something you can always expect from Kj is strong independent women, sexy alpha men and sex scenes so hot you'll be panting and on fire. She's given us this times 10 in Sunday Love! Not only do we have a new strong independent woman to admire but we also have a new strong &sexy alpha male to call our newest book boyfriend! And I call dibs on Reid!
If you want a interesting, laugh out loud, smoking hot read to get lost in then get Sunday Love. I can't wait to see what comes with all the other amazing characters in this book. Especially a specific someone that enjoys getting it good and hard up against a tree..trust me you gotta read it to understand but once you do you'll be cracking up!
I was so ecstatic to read this book as I read Taylor made & Taylored to Perfection & some characters crossover into this novel. I fell in love with Amelia (Emme) & Graham in the Taylored Books & still miss them. This is a standalone with supporting character's that have made an appearance in the Taylor series. I'm not in love with this book as I was with this authors other book series. I do love the characters & enjoyed reading about Elise & Reid & there smokin hot chemistry, but it didn't give me that heartwrenching, jaw dropping moments that have you craving for more. I did love having the supporting character's from the Taylored series in the novel. The narrative & characters are intertwined & blended in perfectly. With scrumptiously delicious sexy scenes to keep you warm. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author. I do love the world these books take place in. I volunteerily reviewed an advanced reading copy of this book.
I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review
Last year when I discovered K.J. with Taylor Made I realized that this author has something addictive in her writing.
It may not be the most eerie plot, or maybe there is a lot of drama but this book can certainly keep you on the edge with the course of each page.
Sunday Love, for me it was going to be a light reading: full of romance and fun situations. I never imagined where the development of the characters was going to take me and the role each one played. And at the end of the whole story everything is for a reason. And that sometimes love can be where you least imagine it and you can get it when you least expect it.
An addictive and sexy reading.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this book. It's sexy, steamy, funny and will keep you on your toes until the very end. It is beautifully written with characters and scenes that will keep you captivated. I cried, laughed and swooned my way through this book and wanted to start it over as soon as I finished! I love how it ties in characters from the Taylor made series so you catch a glimpse of how their stories continue. Absolutely a must read!!!
I've just gotten lucky and stumbled upon a new to me author! KJ Lewis has written a sweet and smart insta-love, office romance featuring Reid Beckett and Elise Donovan. Two smart, sexy, know-what-they want adults, Reid and Elise are sizzling together. With a great storyline, intrigue and secondary characters Sunday Love is a must read.
Could not put down! This is a new author for me, and I loved this book! The main characters were loveable, the side characters were interesting, and the story line kept me engaged and involved. There’s also enough heat to burn the house down! I will be reading more from this author!
For starters you shouldn't be wasting precious moments reading this review you should already be diving into Sunday Love. The ONLY problem with this book is that (besides I finished it) I don't know what book could follow in its wake. I loved everything about it….the humor and dynamics between friendship/co-workers, the smart/strong characters, the unique business they are involved in, the tender moments with heartbreaking side storylines intertwined within the story.
Elise has been best friends since the age of five with Theo. He is the CEO of Jacobs, Inc where she is employed. They ended up at different universities, both in the same city so they were never far apart. They know each other's secrets, love each other fiercely and have each other's back at all times. They have been working together for the last seven years. Theo had connections at Harvard and Elise had connections at Boston College, together they had an instant clientele.
Reid was in the process of purchasing Jacobs, Inc. from Theo. While in the meeting he meets Elise and gets distracted. He can't get her out of his mind, but knows that he can't mix business and pleasure, she soon would be his employee. Besides those reasons he never does relationships.
“Technically, I’m not her boss yet. Maybe she would be in to simply hooking up. She seems like a girl who can detach herself from the emotional side of things. She is a fixer, after all. One of the best in the business. I’ve done quite a bit of research on her. If there’s a problem, she’s who you want running the show.”
Elise and Reid are both used to running the show. Will Elise be able to give up power in the bedroom, but not the boardroom? Will Reid be able to give up control in the boardroom, but have control of Elise in the bedroom? He's use to being in control in all aspects of his life.
“It has to stop. You are not a ‘you’ anymore. You are a ‘we’ now. You say you’re a fixer. Fix this.”
KJ Lewis has written a book that will show what happens when push comes to shove. You will instantly fall in love with the main female character and her immensely big heart. This book is told in a dual POV, which is refreshing because you get to see what the main characters are truly thinking.
Elise is extremely driven and the best fixer in her business. She has the a way to make men weak in the knees with how she handles situations. Her heart is so big and she truly put her employees, whom she happens to call her friends, before herself.
Reid is what you would image in an intense CEO business man, hot, all alpha and has to be in charge of all things. He has never been in a relationship that he would define as worth really caring for the woman other than sexually.
Elisa is working on fixing a problem that she been handling for a while. When in enters Reid, but she isn't aware who he is yet. When she is traveling to her work retreat to be with her best friend and boss, Theo, as well as her friends, she meets the man who she had help her earlier in the day. That man was Reid Beckett. He all but completely catches her off her game and most vulnerable. When they arrive at the retreat, the chemistry between them is flying high. With Reid in the process of buying Theo's company, they need to make the team aware of the changes that will be made. Elise and Reid share some pretty hot scenes. She opens up to him and lets him know about something that changed her life. Reid wasn't sure how to actually process the information, until he sees it from her perspective.
Will the buyout ruin what they have? Can Reid overcome the fact Elise does things her way? Do they work through their issues together or do they part ways?
This story was so well written, it truly held my attention all the way to the last page. They really do work well as a power couple. I am hoping KJ will continue with more stories about them or the others in the book. Great job KJ!

The minute K.J. announced she was writing a new book I knew I had to read it. Three books in and K.J. Lewis is easily becoming one of my go to authors. Sunday Love had a wonderful balance between fun, sexy, humor, and heartbreaking moments. I finished it with a huge smile on my face and loved every minute!
My favorite thing in a novel aside from possessive alpha males and a good story is a confident strong willed heroine. And Elise Donovan is just that. She is not afraid to go head to head with Reid or anyone when being challenged. A true leader with a compassionate heart for those around her. But despite having a tough exterior there’s still a venerability to her because of a tragic event from her past.
And then there’s Reid! I do love me some Reid Beckett. This moody possessive man stole my heart from the beginning. When Elise enters his life it becomes a battle of what is right for business and what he begins to feel for her. I loved watching his walls come down.
Together they have some fun banter and some steamy moments. But their relationship starts to get complicated as they struggle to find balance and control in both their personal and professional lives.
Once again K.J. leaves me wanting more with the secondary characters. Friendships and relationships are tested as the team gets faced with some tough stuff. Their get togethers had me laughing out loud at times. Here’s to hoping some of the supporting characters get their own stories sometime in the future.
There was also a nice surprise with some characters from previous books making an appearance in the story. It’s always fun to catch up with characters I’ve come to love.
Overall I really enjoyed Sunday Love and I’m already looking forward to more from this author.
Wow! I'm on a Reid Beckett overload, with a side of sassy Elise.
From starting it, to finish, I didn't ever want to put this book down, but I had kids to feed, bath and a job to go too.
Elise, what a woman she is was!!! Strong, confident, sassy, loyal, loved and holds her own in a room full men!!
Reid Hot Damn Beckett, he's intrigued by this amazing woman. Yet, he doesn't like having to share her with all the men in her life (Theo & Ross, loved them)
Her past makes her this amazing person and Reid knows he's got a special Dove, but he might have to let that Dove fly solo at times.
Enjoyed all characters mixed in, I laughed and cried. Ouch... Gabby's splinter butt (haha!).
Kj, hands down loved it lady! Out did yourself and the spin off of Taylor Duet.
Love this author and her storytelling voice. A smart, sexy female lead with a smart, sexy, willing to be vulnerable love interest. High power movers and shakers!!! And don't even get me started on the intimate sexual relationship. KJ has out done herself again!
Where to start? I liked this book, but only because of the strong female character and the storyline. The thing that kept this book from being my favorite like the Taylor Made series was that the story didn't have a good flow in the beginning. It was very this happened, that happened. And the male lead character was pissing me off after 70% of the book. I loved that we got to se the Taylor Made gang in a few scenes and honestly the book picked up on its flow during this time for me. Another down on this book was that their relationship was based more on sex than anything else, and boom he loves her. It didn't have that build up to explain their feelings, and I get insta love, but their feelings weren't discussed that much. The last thing on my long rant is that Reid was very much talk and no action. He loves her, but doesn't show that love easily and expect her to show him that she loves him. It was a bit of a mess. But after all that it was a story I enjoyed, made me laugh a couple of times and I really liked the dynamic between Elise and her team/friends. ARC kindly provided by author or honest review.
I fell in love with KJ Lewis and her style of writing when I read the Taylor Made series and this book has helped keep my love affair with her writing going.
The storyline is brilliant it captivates you from page one and she gives you characters which you love whether they are the main ones or secondary characters. She has you laughing, crying, and getting all hot and bothered. Perfect combination of a great recipe of a book to love.
Some readers may find Elise's history hard to read but I think it was so emotional and brilliantly written.
The banter between Elise and her team is crazy and has you laughing and you can really feel the connection with them all through the pages. But Elsie and Reid, well wow I'm surprised there was no steam coming off my kindle.
KJ Lewis is definitely an author I jump up and down with excitement when I see she had a new release coming out.
