Stripped

Rate this book
Taylor's work buddies always treated her like one of the guys, and that wasn't always a good thing. Like when she finds herself being dragged to a strip club called The Lacy Garter for a bachelor party. She's resigned herself to a night of playing along to get along.

Then the lights go down and she sees Jasmine for the first time.

Jasmine was marking time waiting for something better to come along. Only she didn't know what "something better" was. All she knew was she could make more in one night at The Lacy Garter than she could in a couple of weeks at her old job. Put up with the bullshit long enough to save a big chunk of change. That was the plan and she didn't have time for personal entanglements.

Until she stepped out onto the stage and saw Taylor.

Two girls who weren't looking for love. Two girls who have every reason not to get involved. Two girls who might just find love. If they can get out of their own way long enough to let fate take its course!

A lesbian romance

The core of the story revolves around two ladies with different background and jobs but who seems bent on loving each other wholeheartedly but have big issue with trust...the relationship was complicated from the start because of all the things they had to go through..for one they had to both fight off lots of scrutiny from others because of the way one had to work or do her job so it called into question and brought lots of problems into their relationship..there was a range of emotions, angst flitting through a few characters especially the main ones who needed to prove to themselves that they truly love and care about each other..amazing supporting cast, good editing and pacing..the dialogue was great..awesome ending and that's what was needed for this couple...to everyone looking for a good book to get into this is it :) don't look at the title just go get it right now, it's really good,HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

short, easy beach read. I found the main characters to be a touch immature but the book is not terrible. These books won't change the world but sometimes they're good when you've been reading heavy "literature".

A great read but a few problems.

Archer has a winner here. This is the second time I’ve read it and I’m moving to my Favorites file. The story is light but characters are well enough developed to enjoy. Taylor, a computer tech goes out with the guys from her office to celebrate the impending marriage of one of the nicest guys she works with. Of course they go a gentleman’s club, much to her chagrin. On stage, much to Taylor’s delight, is the most beautiful women Taylor has ever seen and she is immediately interested. Her friends encourage her to approach the stage with money in hand. The dancer, Jasmine, returns the odd attraction and offers Taylor a free lap dance. The story goes from there. It’s sexy and has a HEA. Only one problem with no excuse, the book needs an editor. Many extra words and mixed up, repeated sentences. Mia Archer, you can do better!

One of her better stories

I have read a few of Mia Archer stories and i cant say i love them all but i do like a few ans this falls in that category. The story is not too deep and neither are the characters but its still good and you are given enough to feel apart of it. Her endings always leave you with wanting more, wanting to know what happens next; but they are happy in a sense. Free on kindleUnlimited, i was glad to take some time to read it

A light, fast and good reading.

I liked the book, it was easy to read, and the chapters flowed a lot.
I loved Jasmine and Taylor. The eccentric way they met, and even more eccentric the place where they came to fall in love, was cool to read. I like non-standard couples.
I felt that the book was short, I wanted it to have more depth, because I think the characters could have been more in-depth. I liked it better.

I have to say that Tara was a character that won me over.
If she had a book I would definitely read it! (Who doesn't love stray ice queens !?)

Anyway, it's a good read, to read in a few hours. Read it!

Another great story

Nice twist there at the end, who really expected Tara would help them get together again (not really a spoiler in a story by this author and that's more than fine with me) and the jerk in the story got what he deserved. Just wish we could know if a certain person in the story reconnected with a former BFF.

Being in love with someone who gets naked before others for money is not easy for a jealous person. But giving up at the first boulder on the relationship path is a sure way to end it before it has really begun.

Enjoyable enough, but not earthshaking.

I would suggest this book for someone waiting for a delayed plane. High literature it is not, but it is enough to distract one for a couple of hours.

A fun read

This story of a geek girl who seems to always be treated like one of the guys at work and a girl working as a stripper who has a bit of a chip on her shoulder, and a secret gamer girl side as well, is a fast read and a very fun story. The conflicts the pair run into are realistic, though one of the male characters is a bit of an over the top jerk. (Not that I haven't met that guy in real life, mind you! Sigh) Highly recommended!

Short and sweet

I was looking for a quick read for free on kindle unlimited and this did the trick. It was a cute story, however it lacked a lot of basic editing. Many sentences had an extra word, were missing a word or had a word switched from what was intended. Silly things like printing to instead of too were common. Even if the book was free, a preliminary read-through for errors should have taken place before publishing.
