Adam Blade is the house name for the Working Partners Ltd. ghostwriters who write the Beast Quest and Sea Quest series.
Adam Blade is in his late twenties, and was born in Kent, England. His parents were both history teachers and amateur artists, and Adam grew up surrounded by his father’s paintings of historic English battles – which left a lifelong mark on his imagination. He was also fascinated by the ancient sword and shield that hung in his father’s office. Adam’s father said they were a Blade family heirloom.
As a boy, Adam would spend days imagining who could have first owned the sword and shield. Eventually, he created a character – Tom, the bravest boy warrior of them all. The idea for Beast Quest was born.
When Adam grew up and decided that he wanted to be a writer, he was stuck for ideas – until he remembered the old sword and shield, and the imaginary boy he had created when he was young. Adam decided to bring Tom fully to life so that readers could go on the kind of adventures that he always wanted to when he was that age… And still does, even though he’s grown up!
When he’s not writing Beast Quest books, Adam enjoys visiting museums and ancient battle sites. His main hobbies are fencing and football. He also spends a lot of time at home running around after his two exotic pets – a tarantula named Ziggy, and a capuchin monkey named Omar. These little rascals were the inspiration for two of the Beasts that Tom faces on his Quest – Arachnid and Claw.
Sadly, Adam does not have his own Fire-Dragon or Horse-Man. But he really wishes he did!
For what it is this book was quite good I mean the author could have made extremely childish which he did not but for the age group he is writing for I would have to say that he respected his audience a lot in terms of their emotional maturity. Overall I was pleasantly surprised I bought this book on sale at a cheap price and decided to give it a go and I’m pleasantly surprised that it was quite good.
I really liked this book, think the story line was very different and I liked how he used the evil creatures own magic against him A good twist in a series which can be very much same old same old
Third book in the Amulet of Avantia Beast Quest series, a good introduction to chapter books, read to my 5 1/2 year old who loved it. Not too scary for him but just enough action, battle scenes and cliffhangers that he never wanted to stop reading. I’d love to see the female character, Elenna, play more of a main character role in some of the books. Maybe she does, we’ve only read two Beast Quest books so far. Now we’re on to Luna the Moon Wolf 🐺 🌖 ✨ for #4 of the six books in the series.
This book didn't rally make me want to stop reading because everything they were saying had made no sense. This book is about how tom has to find the six parts of Avantia amulet in order to keep his father alive. If he doesn't find the parts, That mean death for his Father. Good luck trying to the six parts
I think the book was very good as it made the reader want keep reading and learn more about Tom, if he defeats the cave troll RASHOUK and loses another power in a quest to save his father from the clutches of an evil wizard.
This book lacked detail to make it more interesting. It was an interesting concept of how the characters have a different take on magic. I would recommend this book for people who like a lot of action and not much else.
